Large room with comfy beds, coffee station, and a complimentary water. Plus, a very convenient airport shuttle!

I had requested a late check out on my reservation, and was told to ask when I arrived. When I arrived I asked again, and was told to check in the morning. I checked in the morning, and was told 1 free hour, or pay for an entire night. If this is the policy, I should have been told immediately so I could make an informed decision. A staggered pay system for additional hours needed, would have been helpful.

We liked the shuttle service from the airport (even though it took longer to come than we were told). The breakfast was excelled and they were kind to give us extra time at check out since we are disabled. My hubbie liked the cookie. We enjoyed the pretty fall trees on the property ... a little forshadowing of our visit to Mackinac Island - the purpose of our trip.

It was nice that we only had to walk next door but we would have preferred dinner or room food service options inside our hotel. Breakfast would not provide a tray for me to bring breakfast to my husband and they would not bring it to him either, so I had to try to gather food & coffee in my own fabric bag, while dragging my own oxygen, and deliver it to him myself.

Nice, spacious clean room. Good for overnight, close to airport. There might not be places close to grab food but plenty of places deliver via any of the food delivery apps. I just stayed here one night as I had to catch a flight out in the morning. Very close to airport.

The staff advertises an airport shuttle every 15 min starting at 6am, but after waiting 25 min (I get nervous as I make sure I never have to rush to make a flight), I just went ahead and ordered an uber. The shuttle came in 30 min as a posed to the 15min advertised, but I already caught my uber.

I really enjoyed the friendliness of the staff, especially Niayla at the front desk. She was super efficient and attentive to all of our needs. Her assistance was invaluable and made staying her so enjoyable. The coffee and tea service availability was enjoyed by myself and my grandson as well as all of the other amenities offered in your hotel. Beautiful put together with a high caliber of staff. Thank you so much.

What could have been better is outside of your control. My entire family regretted the decision to only stay here for the one night. We wished we would have chosen to commute for our gathering downtown rather than waste the nights stayed at another hotel closer to the event we were attending. We truly would have rather stayed with your hotel and in the future, this is what we will do. Any commute is worth the drive to ensure our family is in comfortable and welcoming surroundings.

Everyone was so nice and accommodating. We got there very late on Friday night, and we were hoping to get a drink.  There was no bar at the hotel, but the person at the desk advised us that we could just walk right next door and the market shop was open in the adjacent hotel. It was very nice of them to tell us that, and that worked out perfectly. I wanted advice on a movie theater to go to and the girl at the desk looked that up on Sunday and advised me on which theater to go to. In addition I had to use the computer to prepare a document and they offered me help because the computer was not working properly. At every turn, they were very accommodating.

There was really nothing I didn’t like. The hotel doesn’t have a restaurant or a bar, but they utilize the property next door for that so the situation is easily remedied.

Rooms and facilities are always good and clean. Breakfast is delicious and hot with many varieties.

Parking. If you go away to visit or events and return after 10 p.m., the parking is ridiculous. I doubt all those cars are for guests at the hotel. It's more like airline flight parking. Need more handicap spaces, all spaces in front of the hotel. Plus, more or brighter lights.

Comfortable and close to the airport with a free shuttle and a very good and varied complimentary breakfast. Tea, coffee and water available in the foyer. Very clean room with good soundproofing. Excellent bathroom with plentiful towels and facecloths. Quality shampoo and wash products.

The dark furniture, but for a one night stay that wasn’t important.

This Hampton Inn at the Detroit airport has improved dramatically. It has been totally refurbished and has updated its amenities. Having an airport shuttle that runs every 15 minutes in the morning is amazing. The breakfast has a wide assortment of both hot and cold selections, I love the large walk in shower. The bed was extremely comfortable. The heating system worked well.

Breakfast was very good, and the airport shuttle service was convenient and reliable. The room was a queen suite, with plenty of room. Additionally, the room was clean and comfortable.

The in-room coffee pot didn't work. Also, while the furniture and bathroom fixtures were in good order, the carpet was old and worn if several places.

Fantastic breakfast, great variety of food choices and super pristine clean environment. Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable beds and hotel was really quiet. The quick free shuttle from airport was really convenient and the driver was very friendly.
