This property has been recently remodeled and restaffed and managed. Any review you read which is more than say a couple of months old, is inaccurate. I'm a fairly hard reviewer of properties and didn't find anything I didn't like here. Rooms were clean and well lite. The pool was clean and in operation. The parking lot was clean and easy to navigate. The staff was friendly and responsive. The breakfast exceeded my expectation at the price point. The kids play area was clean and taken care of. The beds slept well. The bathroom was properly stocked. The shower was hot and good water pressure. I honestly don't know what anyone else could ask from a Super 8.

The front desk girl was really nice. Apparently she was doing double-duty, both taking care of front desk duties and cleaning rooms. She should’ve had help, though she seemed to be on top of things. The location was great right off the expressway. The view from my window was just woods, which I really liked. The breakfast was wanting a bit but it was sufficient.

The breakfast could’ve been more extensive, more choices.

Quite peaceful location. Friendly staff and an inviting pool indoors made for a relaxing time after our family reunion in Houghton Lake. We needed more towels and they were given without question. The room was clean and comfortable. The location was perfect for us being right off the expressway and just outside of the hustle bustle of the city.

Bigger bars of soap??? That’s being pretty picky though..

The location was great and the hotel was well maintained for it's age and very clean. It has a large indoor pool that my teenagers and husband enjoyed. Even though there was other guests around the rooms were quite soundproof. This Super 8 also allows dogs and it's doesn't charge a large fee for them to stay. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of pillows. The staff were nice while asking for extra towels, sheets and blankets we did not have a whole lot of interaction with them.

One of the downfalls was the darker carpet in the hallways and in the rooms. It made it feel smaller and not well lit. As I'm writing this though that carpet might be one of the reasons why it's so soundproof too. I personally do not care for carpet in hotels or motels and I like brighter hallways to see room numbers and to use the keys easier. It will not discourage me for staying there again.

Breakfast was good. Area clean. Location was perfect for what I came to this Location for.

Surface of room clean. But not behind furniture. Floor needed mopping. We went to pool came back to room, got floor wet. Used a towel to dry it. The towel was very brown from the dirt.

No hot tub, no sauna, pool looked cloudy and smelt like Marijuana in my room.. Had pets inside hotel. Don't recommend staying there again. Won't recommend anyone to stay there.

Easy check in, good location, clean hotel and pool area. Hot tub was not working but a great place to stay in the winter. Will be back again for tip up town next year.

Hot tub and sauna in working condition in the middle of winter would be good. More choices for breakfast would also be nice.

The employees were kind and respectful. The rooms were clean in general and the breakfast was surprisingly good.

Even if most was clean, we had an issue with the small coffee machine in the room. It seems like it hasn't been washed in a while.

The staff was super friendly. We even left a tablet behind and they called immediately to let us know. We were able to turn around with very little time loss.

Display on heating/ac system controls were scrubbed clean off and it took us a bit to figure out how to use it.

The property was very convenient. The parking lot was well lit. The front office was clean and staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Great customer service. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. Just what we needed.

Really no complaints. The breakfast we like to have eggs but not a major big deal :-) there was enough to choose from without eggs being available.
