This was our 2nd time staying for a week and there were some uprades. New stove and fridge was a surprise. Heating source had been updated so it was warmer than the last year.

Bathroom sink drain still doesn't work correctly and appears to need a vented line. The new heat source runs at such a loud volume it makes it hard to watch TV at normal levels. Mice had invaded the cupboards and were feasting on left behind food items from previous guests.

I stayed in a smaller economy room at the Alpine Motel. They also offer larger rooms and cabins for those wishing more space. While my room was small, it had all the amenities I needed to make my stay comfortable. Those included A/C, microwave, refrigerator, en suite bathroom, a comfortable bed, and storage space. Since the purpose for my point was to visit friends and go fishing, I didn't spend time in the room other than to sleep and use the bathroom facilities. Check in was quick, and the staff friendly.

My only disappointment was to find that, though there was a coffee machine in the room, no coffee was provided. It may have been available at the desk, but I did not ask.

This was the second time I stayed at Alpine Motel and it was an improvement due to the larger space and improved cable TV.

There appears to be different owners than during my visit in 2021. The trash dumpster was located next to our cabin and the buck pole. The dumpster was overflowing when we arrived. After 6 days, it was still overflowing and never emptied. The bathroom needs more light. The wall furnace needs to be cleaned, adjusted so it doesn't rattle, and wired so that fan is not running constantly. Electrical wiring is sketchy. Uninsulated concrete block walls sweat from cold temps hitting them exterior while the heating system is keeping things warm on the inside. Room darkening shades are needed so guests don't have to block out the security lights using towels.

Cabin 16. Is very spacious. Will definitely stay here again.. it is also very quiet. Just need a fire pit. It would have been perfect with a campfire.

The value was why we chose it - great price and great location. The bed was very comfortable and clean. We liked the room decor, small but had everything we needed. The staff were very amusing and provided exceptional service. Don't change anything including the price. There are too many upscale choices out there.

Nothing

Everything is pretty rustic but cute and clean. Small rooms but everything is there. A huge bonus: they have an access lane to a nearby lake, where you can observe many birds at sunset.

The curtain in the shower didn't protect everything around as well as expected. Not too many sockets for charging everything.

The hotel was clean and cute compared to others I have stayed at. Since covid a lot of places have been filthy but not this place, Clean! We arrived late and were able to let ourselves in, I really liked the flexibility for the check in. Only complaint I have was we rented two large rooms and 1 of them the hot water was not working nor the furnace, it was a little chilly, however there was a space heater they did use. The guys that stayed in the room did not tell me this until a day or so later, so I did not complain. The other room was great, no complaints. I am sure with the way the place was kept they will attend to fixing. The guys did still enjoy the comfort of the room as well as we did the other room we were in!!

Good place to stay on the way to destinations on the east shore of Lake Michigan. Their location is close to many local State Parks.

I think one of the walls was a bit to thin, so we could hear a bit of conversation from the neighbours.

Price was great for a party of 6 to stay less than $200. Rooms were clean and freshly made up. Pretty close to our location of ludington that we were visiting on our Jeep cruise.

No towels, pillowcases and pillows but that was quickly remedied by the owner and housekeeper.

The property was clean and the staff was very friendly. The cabin was exactly as I hoped. It was cute and cozy.

I wish the cabin was more soundproof. Being so close to US-10 meant traffic all night. Hard to sleep.
