From the moment we stepped into the Rand Tower Hotel, we knew we were in for something special. The Art Deco design is absolutely immaculate, blending the elegance of the 1920s with modern luxury. Every detail, from the stunning decor to the historic mail drop slots throughout the building, adds to its charm. The service? Top-notch—attentive, professional, and welcoming. The rooms, while cozy, are thoughtfully designed to feel spacious and comfortable. The beds? Ridiculously comfortable. The views? Stunning. Every aspect of our stay felt like stepping into a beautifully preserved time capsule, but with all the modern amenities you could ask for. Rand Tower Hotel is a perfect blend of classic and contemporary, making it an unforgettable place to stay. We absolutely loved it and can't wait to return!
While our stay at the Rand Tower Hotel was fantastic, the biggest drawback of staying downtown was, without a doubt, parking. Driving in was convenient for us, but finding an affordable or even remotely reasonable parking option in Minneapolis? Nearly impossible. The rates are steep, and the options limited unless you rely on the light rail, Uber, or Lyft. To be clear, this isn’t a knock on the Rand Tower Hotel itself, as they don’t operate the ramp, but it’s something to consider if you’re bringing a vehicle.

Beautifully designed hotel, large room, staff were very friendly and helpful, super comfy bed, great location walkable to lots of restaurants. Unfortunately, downtown isn't very lively on the weekends. Excellent vlaue.
The restaurants had very odd and confusing hours, the coffee bar in the lobby was closed by 9am on Sunday morning. There was never anyone at the (very heavy and weirdly narrow) doors to help with bags. Had a hard time getting the room to a comfortable temperature- it was very cold outside and the room was very hot. Also the heater was extremely loud.

Love love love the beauty of this hotel, this is not the first time I have stayed here. The staff was great, the room was wonderful & very comfortable.
The only thing that I would request improvement on would be the parking. There is parking available in the parking ramp attached to the hotel, that's not my problem. My problem is that I wish there was more direction of where to go once you get out of your vehicle and try to find your way into the hotel. This was the second time we kind of got lost in the parking ramp trying to get into the hotel. Other than that there is nothing bad with the hotel itself

This is a beautiful and very stylish hotel in a converted Art Deco office building. The quality of the materials and artwork is very high. The facilities are great - the gym, in particular, is world class. The location is dead in the middle of downtown, so if you are looking for a downtown hotel, the location is perfect.
The rooms are slightly small - reflecting the fact that this is an old building that has been converted. The valet parking (at $56 for the night) is excessively expensive and the staff directions to nearby non-hotel parking are not very helpful - parking in downtown Minneapolis is very cheap and plentiful.

Very nice, elegant hotel in downtown Minneapolis, with great origin. Friendly professional staff. We had a corner room where the day time lightning and night time skyline view was amazing. Bed was super comfy, bath room top notch. Just like home. Sorry we could only stay 1 night. We came by car and used the convinient parking garage connected to the hotel. Less than half price of the valet parking.
Don't select breakfast in your room price. Very disappointing. Comfort Inn breakfast is miles better. It turned out to be an $18 voucher. Coffe in paper mug, a microwave bacon and egg croissant, and I even had to pay a few bucks extra! My advice to the hotel: stop offering breakfast.

I loved the architecture of the building itself, the decor of the lounge areas, and the antique doors. The hotel room was larger than expected, and there were 2 double sinks. The smart tv in the room was super easy to connect to. There was free lemon lime water at the front desk. The Concierge/Hotel Staff were happy to help after there was an issue with making sure if the room was ready or not and made the situation right. I appreciated their promptness in the matter. Solely because of that I would book again.
The a/c in our room not working and was a warm 74 degrees our whole stay, they did bring a fan which helped. Maybe my next stay that won’t be the case. Also I check for bed bugs at all the hotel rooms I stay at and the bed frame it self was a little dustier than I expected it to be when the mattress was lifted but other than that no issues, everything else was clean! This place did not have microwaves in the room or lobby unfortunately.

The building was beautiful! Loved that they had bars/restaurants inside the hotel and different floors
The parking ramp was a little tight and one night we walked through the skywalk to get into the hotel and the enterance was closed and it was only about 10pm which I thought was odd. One morning we didn’t have hot water but staff did tell us when checking out they were having a water issue for about an hour and it affected a few floors. Other than that I really do not have any complaints!

Great place to stay if you have a concert at the Target Center. Easy walking distance from venue. Clean rooms and friendly staff. We parked in the parking garage next to the hotel and had some trouble getting a printed ticket so we had to have hotel staff let us back in to the garage but that wasnt the fault of the hotel. If anything that made it feel very secure for parking a vehicle there. Jaime the front staff person was very helpful and friendly and she was helpful with a early checkin. Will stay here again in the future.
Nothing it was great.

I would definitely stay here again, the room was very clean, the beds were super comfy. The dine in breakfast was good as well. Great location. I was visiting Paisley Park and Mall of America, both within easy driving distance. Target Center is a 10min easy walk as well.
My room was not ready, I checked in at 4:45 and had to wait till 5p. When check-in is at 4p. The valet was not available when I arrived. I had to self park in the garage across the street that once you leave you cannot get back in. And they over charged from what the posted charges are. Don't park there! Both inconveniences I was comped for and I do appreciate that. The towels were very scratchy and could definitely use some fabric softer.

Everything was clean and updated. The facilities were very well kept and the rooms were well sized. The breakfast area on the 5th floor was beautiful but the toast came out charred. I imagine it was just a minor mistake, otherwise the food was delicious. Overall, I would stay here again.
The only thing that I was dissatisfied with was the parking situation. There is a ticket that you receive in the parking garage and you're supposed to take it with you inside the hotel in order to access the garage in the future. The lady at the front desk said that she wished more people would read the parking ticket. This is very inconvenient for guests as most places do not require you to read the physical ticket to enter a parking garage. When we finally reached our vehicle, there was nothing on the ticket that stated we must take the ticket with us in order to access the garage. We were not the only ones who were having this issue either. Overall this place is fantastic but this is an area for improvement.
