The treehouse was quite nice. The amenities were great, nice bathroom and kitchen area. The grounds were clean and the trails and signs were clearly visible. The air conditioning was very cool, which was good. The utensils, glasses, pots, and pans were ample. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The upstairs loft was cool. My only issue was the stairs to the loft were rather steep, so the kids had a difficult time going up and down them. I noticed there was a “Quack Shack” with ducks. I don’t know how often they are fed and watered, but they had no water or food that we could see. Also, they need access to water especially in the heat. They had a small round container with water but it was very dirty. This container was not big enough for multiple ducks, only one at a time. The shack is way too small to provide adequate housing for these ducks. I hope your staff listens and corrects these problems. Thanks so much!

The oven was broken so I had to cook for the family outdoors breakfast in the extreme early morning cold.

It is a beautiful place.

The road coming in is a little rough, the king bed is a little hard for old people & just about every piece of cooking or eating utensil we pulled out was not clean.

Cabin was cozy and clean .. location was easy to find .. fun to run on the dirt roads and trails .. snacks were yummy .. chickens were a pleasant surprise

I LOVED the atmosphere, quiet, cozy, and comfortable.

I didn't mind the area and the distance, but the road to our destination was (horrible) bumps and holes everywhere. A normal five minute drive took at least 15 to 20 minutes. I would seriously think about investing in the infrastructure of the area because the more people hear about it, the more they definitely are going to wanna come. I'm already planning my next vacation there.

My family and I enjoyed this stay. We booked 3 cabins. Nikki was so friendly prior to our stay. She was patient with our questions. One of the owners were so friendly that we thought he was a customer as well. He came out and talked to my husband and gave him some fishing pointers about were the fish were. The amenities were modern and up to date. So fancy. They have a propane grill that's amazing. A propane fire pit on the porch. All in all, wonderful stay for the price.

Very clean, comfortable, and loved being immersed in the outdoors

The oven didn’t work properly. We did smell gas in the house so we lit the stove eyes but were not able to get the oven to light. We turned the gas line off in the cabinet under the oven as a safety protocol.

Whiskey on the River is a clean, comfortable, well thought out accommodation. It is quiet and secluded, on the banks of the Leaf River, but is only 15 minutes from Hattiesburg.
