The room was comfortable and spotless. It appeared to have been recently remodeled. The beds were comfortable and the decor of the room was nice. The bathroom was spotlessly clean, no mold or dirt. The exterior of the motel was clean with fresh paint. There were flowerpots with well maintained plants. You could tell the owners care about their property. The staff were welcoming and responsive to our needs.There were casinos and restaurants within walking distance. Overall it had an old town charm.

The motel was an old building and despite the meticulous remodeling, the building had an old building smell. Also, because of the age of the building, the parking was tight. The street outside was kind of noisy until about 11 pm with people driving old pickup trucks that backfired

Per previous reviews, it IS on the main drag.. Pros: walking distance to many great museums, Starr Basque restaurant is a must go to, Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center is very nice with helpful, friendly staff; easy access to get back on the road. We didn't get her name, but she made some great coffee! Breakfast is very basic, and since the table and chairs are in the rooms, you fix your breakfast items and take them back to your rooms. Rooms are old, but clean and beds are comfy. Showers get hot and water pressure is fine.

It IS on the main drag through town, so road noise IS expected, trucks drive by at night and nothing can be done about that, so bring earplugs if it will bother you.

The location was excellent, the owners were really nice. The breakfast was cold cereal, coffee, juice and fruit in the lobby where four people were crowded standing up. I slept really good. The mattress was firm. There was a microwave and fridge. It was clean!! Close to everything in Elko. I would stay again. I gave it a nine, mostly because of the breakfast.

The Esquire Inn is an older style 'motor court' accomodation that is completely up to date and well appointed with first line beds, bathroom, air conditioner, tv, etc, It is super convenient to downtown Elko. The staff is very friendly and very helpful with local recommendations and information. The Esquire is very affordable. I have stayed here before and I will stay here again--highly recommend.

There was really nothing about the Esquire that I didn't like. The rooms are on the small side which may be an issue for some people. Also, the parking is also somewhat tight-this wasn't any problem for us.

The manager and staff were great, the upgrades to the rooms were done nicely, the cable/TV was easy to use and was a good service. Easy access to areas you need to get to, pretty centrally located, a good breakfast place (The Mug) and grocery stores within a block. Nice room fan augments the AC

The street noise level, particularly the motorcycle racing, and trucks 11:30-!:30, and the parking is limited, so as many people cannot seem to park inside the lines, or go straight instead of diagonally you have a tough time getting in, especially if you are out late. However, I used the "check-in only" and it was accommodated by the Management.

It was okay...I know it its a small motel. I had a banana. The location was good....the parking was a bit tight. I appreciated the accommodations I needed for a room on the bottom floor due to my bad knees I could not do the stairs.

There really was not anything I did not like other than I mentioned he parking was pretty tight but again due to the location and the dynamics of the parking lot not much the business can do about it.

Toilet water bowl caps make noise when you sit on the toilet.. Put some rubber on the bowl caps so they stop making noise. Location is off main street in Elko, at a street light. Can be noisy because so many trucks and cars have loud exhausts. Surprised how loud these ridiculous mufflers are from inside the room.

We were met in the office by the owner, who arranged for us to park right up front since the parking lot was full. Very friendly, very helpful. While the rooms are older, they were perfectly clean and the bed was very comfortable.

Minor detail that the air conditioner was rather noisy, but overall no complaints. We did not have breakfast at the hotel which from the looks of it was minimal, but in most cases satisfactory.

Great value. Easy check-in. Good location. Very clean and comfortable room. Great shower. Comfortable bed. Good air-conditioner. Quiet location. Room included a good refrigerator w/icebox. Lot of good lighting and outlets for computer, etc. Room included a table and chairs for dining. For the price, liked this property a lot.

Tight parking. Ice machine needed to be repaired (although it worked). Two long pillows were provided for sleeping; would have preferred four smaller pillows. Bars of soap very small. A fresh fruit bowl would have been nice at breakfast rather than the assortment of cold cereal.

We felt right at home in our room at the Esquire Inn in Elko, NV for a two-night stay. The room was updated and very clean. The refrigerator and microwave were a welcome addition. The breakfast consisted of coffee, tea, hot chocolate, juices, milk, mini-muffins, apples, bananas, instant oatmeal and three kinds of cold cereal. It was adequate. The owner was so helpful in recommending a restaurant called Odea Mediterranean. I highly recommend this restaurant. Great tzatziki and pita bread. Great place to stay for the money.

Noise on street behind us. Noise from upstairs guests. Someone's alarm was going off at 6:15 am and went on for about 40 minutes. The owner came in to our room to hear it and had no idea where it was coming from. There are no alarm clocks in the rooms, but it must have been coming from an adjacent room.
