August 2025

My family stayed at Desert Rose Resort from July 24–28, 2025, and we were pleasantly surprised by how comfortable and convenient everything was. We booked a king room with a full kitchen, which came fully stocked with everything we needed to cook and serve meals—including Tupperware for storing leftovers (a thoughtful touch you don’t often see in hotel kitchens). The suite also had a dining area and a spacious living room with a pull-out couch—my 6’2” teenager slept on it comfortably, which says a lot! The one bathroom is located within the bedroom, which might be a concern for some, but it worked well for our family of three. The layout is smart: the shower and toilet are separate from the vanity, allowing multiple people to get ready at the same time. I especially loved the pool area. While I didn’t swim myself, it was clear that other families were having a great time. I enjoyed lounging poolside and ordering food from the bar (the menu has breakfast, lunch, and dinner options, and everything I tried was really good!). Location-wise, it’s fantastic—walking distance to MGM Grand, close to the airport, and right near a gas station, which made returning our rental car super easy. The gym was modern and well-equipped, and the laundry room was a nice bonus for washing clothes before heading home. Overall, a great stay! Comfortable, convenient, and family-friendly—I would absolutely recommend Desert Rose Resort and stay again.

Very close to the strip, just across the street from the MGM and 10 minute walk to the main strip area. The room was spacious and clean. It was nice to have a kitchenette during our stay.

Beware that this is one of those properties that tries to sell you on vacation packages and timeshares. The hotel staff were friendly but these sales associates were very annoying and aggressive. They trick you into speaking with those associates in order to get pool wrist bands. It was such an unpleasant way to start our trip.

The rooms were spacious, clean, and had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and it was really nice to have 2 bathrooms. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub, table tennis and corn-hole game during our stay. It was close to the airport and a quick walk to the strip. We had groceries delivered to the hotel with ease.

The staff was amazing upon arrival. Very friendly and professional.

What I didn't like was the staff that wanted to show the hotels. It felt like the team wanted to give you all these goodies to scam you into something. As a person on vacation, we shouldn't need to be scam with time shares. Time shares of hotels should be something of choice versus scammed into it. And that was disappointing to find out afterward.

We loved the location, not on the strip, but walkable. We knew we were in Vegas, but did not feel like it during our stay. Our rooms were clean and we loved that we could prepare our own meals when we chose to. We were a large family group and enjoyed the common spaces such as the BBQ area, fire pits and the pool. The employees were very polite and accommodating. Thank you Derek, Tiari, Jingyu and Marcia.

Not much. The outside work on the parking lot and exterior painting were sometimes a bother, but understandable and we were offered solutions to the noise

Our suite was perfect. Very big for 2, and it had everything we needed and more. Fully equipped kitchen. Full-size fridge, dishwasher, oven, microwave, coffeemaker, even a blender. Pots, dishes, plenty of utensils, etc. Nice living space with couch, eating area, and balcony. Comfy bed. TVs in both rooms. Good wifi. Everything was very clean. Great value for the prize. Approximately 15 min walk to the strip (Excalibur area or you can cross through the MGM), little less to the MGM monorail station.

Nothing really. The walk back felt long at the end of the day, and it's a little dark because you are crossing through parking lots to minimize steps - but that's not the hotel's fault. Area still felt safe. There is no housekeeping, but for us that was a bonus point - not needed. Plenty of towels in the suite, and if you need more coffee, soap, etc., you can just let the front desk know, and they will help you.

The kitchen allowed me cook most of my meals. The rooms are very comfortable.

The location, i was hoping to just walk to the strip like when I stayed at Platinum Hotel, but it’s too far. I had to get the 2 day pass for the monorail to get around.
