Very nice and quaint house and location. Well equipped communal kitchen with coffee, tea, dry oatmeal packets and breakfast bars. Not a full breakfast, but there is a great breakfast place across the street, which we enjoyed very much. The room was nice and big, with a huge bathroom. Location was very convenient for our skiing at Okemo.

The windows in our room were extremely drafty. It was very cold outside during our stay, and the cold from the windows made it feel very cold even though the heat was on all the time. The bed was located directly under the windows, so it didn't help. These windows need some serious insulation!

Comfortable, quiet, good location close to shops and restaurants. Room was cozy, beds comfortable, and electric fireplace heater with flames in the room was a nice addition. Coffee, teas, hot cocoa and oatmeal/cereal bars provided in the kitchen for anytime.

Check in and out process was smooth and easy and thorough instructions were provided. Would make it extra special for the host to be available in person during check in/check out and for the occasional question, but the property manager was quick to respond to texts and emails and help answer all of my questions. Property could use a few minor touch ups.

The property was very lovely. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated. The bed was very comfortable. I also loved the little touches I hadn’t seen before such as earplugs on the night stand (not that it was noisy there!), real fresh ground coffee and coffee maker in the room, and a first aid kit in the bathroom. Luckily we didn’t need to use it, but a nice item to have on hand. The room as well as the inn was very clean.

The only thing that would have been nice would be bottled water and coffee creamer in the kitchen refrigerator.

The owners were very accommodating and very easy to contact. We travelled to visit and care for family nearby. The owners reprogrammed the exterior lighting timer for us to sleep earlier and they let us move rooms for another guest bed, at the end of our stay. The kitchen use, dining area, lounge space and front porch made our stay feel like home away from home. All of the other guests were considerate and quiet and the cleaning on the property was first rate. We will stay here again!

Chester is a charming, small New England town, and Chester Inn faces the village green. The Inn has a welcoming, colonial ambience, but with modern amenities. The room was clean and comfortable, and the common rooms had a nice, homey feel.

Access to Chester Inn is by a push-button number code, which was to be sent to me by email. As of 9:00 A.M., when I left home, I had not yet received the email; so I was unsure what to do when I arrived. A staff member to greet me upon arrival would have helped.

Easy check-in, clean room, and good location for the area. The Scottish Inn downtown was fantastic.

The pull out bed was very uncomfortable, it was a futon, but the center hinge created a large ridge all the way down the middle, which kept me from sleeping comfortably. My daughter slept very comfortably in the large bed.

Clean, friendly, spacious. Compared to other places, price was good on Memorial Day weekend. Nice location. Love the old building (1730).

You might find the bathroom quirky, but I'm happy to make a bit of allowance in a historic building. But the wall liner in the shower does need replaced. However, everything was clean and otherwise well cared for.

We were greeted by very friendly hosts. Our room was very clean and spacious, and included all the enmities we would expect. The downstairs sitting area is a very nice place to relax and have a cup of coffee. The Inn is centrally located in Chester with plenty of walking to nearby shops.

Everything was great.

Charming room. Size perfect for my solo stay. There's a café, restaurant and a few fun places to explore across the street. Easy parking. Easy check in and out. Games and books galore in common room.

I sleep through anything so it didn't bother me but some would be awakened by the street level noise.

This property met all expectations for cleanliness, comfort, and value. Also exceeded expectations in the provision of plush robes and a first aid kit. While not staffed, I also enjoyed the efficient check-in/out process. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this location to others.
