The location was amazing--across the street from Magic Mountain. It is nice to have a restaurant on premises. Our room and a half was spacious, with two full-size beds separated with a door from a queen-size bed in a room that also had a sink.

It would be nice if the room with a sink and a queen-size bed also had a toilet. Also, the door between the two rooms needs some WD-40 to stop it from squeaking as it opens and closes.

I liked that there was a restaurant on site. The staff were great. The lodge was a little older but I liked the charm that it provided. I would have liked there to be a microwave in the room or in the lobby. They said they were planning on getting one soon. Great place and great value.

great place to stay for skiing, Magic mountain is 1/2 mile away from the lodge or at Stratton, which is 20/25 minutes to the south. I had a good experience here the staff was friendly accommodating and helpful, and there is a restaurant/ bar on the premise that serves hearty meals at reasonable $.

It was a little boisterous in my room during dinner hours as my room was directly above the kitchen, but after dinner things would get quiet again. of course it wasn’t much of a big deal, and I wanted the room for the jacuzzi. the staff offered to switch my room to another one, but I decided to keep it for the jacuzzi tub it had… a small price to pay for the awesomeness of an in room jacuzzi tub, a great way to relax after a hard day of making turns!

Location to Magic Mountain and other ski areas. No frills old school ski lodge with nice lounge area and bar. Fireplace in den area is nice. Restaurant onsite is good. Just be sure to make reservations. It’s a slower pace all the way around. If you want fast pace, then this is not the place for you.

Location is beautiful, staff at resort kind and very nice people, safe for families, had a problem with other travelers but will return to stay again the staff Vince corrected the issue and I plan on staying a week there next time some time in the future

Staff was very friendly, really helpful when I checked in. Made sure to share things happening in the town. Cute ski lodge, even during summer. If you want a typical Vermont experience, would recommend you stay here.

Price was a little high for room size/time of year.

Very homey feeling, and good location. Also very well priced! They did a great job and gave me a really good room with my own mini porch!! They’re also dog friendly so my friend was able to bring her emotional support dog with her. The AC in the room worked amazingly! Above and beyond service from all members of the staff, and great food in the red slate restaurant!

There was a small bit of dust on the lampshade and some surfaces (not high touch ones or anything I was touching so it didn’t affect me). I didn’t realize they wouldn’t have a fridge there, but this hardly bothered me and the staff was amazing with servicing me and giving me ice and even offered to keep some items in their cooler as needed. Only thing I was sad about was not having breakfast (I didn’t have a car with me).

Vince and the whole staff were just so nice, they went out of their way to meet all our needs! We’re handicapped with special concerns and they went all in to accommodate us, couldn’t be happier or better taken care of. Stay here, you’ll be very happy you did and we’ll be back again…guaranteed!

Everything! Great low budget place to stay and see beautiful parts of Vermont

The restaurant was closed but we also went at a time when it was between busy seasons. We knew it would be closed before we got there so even though we didn’t like it was closed, it was not a surprise.

My only concern was the hallways were gloomy and smelled. The stairs to go to the 2nd floor were also steep.
