Great last minute booking! We ate at the on-site restaurant which has a very small menu, but totally met our needs. Facility was clean and tidy. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Price was reasonable and beds were very comfy.

When we first checked in they gave us a room that was being painted and worked on. It was quickly corrected and our room was on the 2nd floor, which was better than the 1st floor room we initially had. Hotel had a mostly pleasant smell, but some halls did smell of weed. I don't think there is anything the hotel could do about that, and it has been my experience at most hotels in recent years.

Beautiful, got upgraded to a suite, very comfortable bed!

My only complaint is that I tried to check in early and made it known days ahead of time as I wanted to be somewhere at 3 o’clock. I understand that it won’t be known until the day of. Thinking it may happen, we got there at noon and the front desk lady still made it seem like it might happen and she’d call if a room became available. I came back around 2 to check, and the guy didn’t even look to see if anything was available, he stated check in was at 3. If I had known there was no chance, I would have gotten ready before the drive.

The property was really nice, free parking on site, the restaurant on site was convenient to have on site for breakfast and dinner. Rooms were nice and clean and up to date. Good location close to lots to eat and bars to go too around the area. And not too far from the city

The complaints I do have is only during the lunch hour there is no food on site. You’d have to go out of the hotel during lunch hours it would be more convenient to have the restaurant/bar open during the 11-4p time or have someone come out to you and serve the patrons of the pool bar other than that you can bring outside food into the pool area which is alright also.

We had a great week at Holiday Inn Hasbrouck Heights - Meadowlands. The hotel had a recent renovation and the conditions were much better than previous comments mentioned. The room was big enough for a couple with a nice bathroom & storage. It included a microwave although we did not needed because it was just next to a Mc Donalds. The location is 20-30 mins from NY Manhattan with personal car or 45-50 mins with public transportation. The hotel has a shuttle to take you to the bus stop which is an amazing service! The room was clean and quiet. The staff are amazing friendly people. Everyone is helpful when needed. There is also a Walmart and Costco right across the road although you need to walk around 20 mins to reach or 5 mins drive. We would definitely recommend staying here as it is safe, comfortable and budget rather than busy NY. The hotel is surrounded by a great neighbourhood to experience the local life & taste.

The keys had constant issues to access the room however the staff was helpful each time we experienced the problem. The public transportation is limited to bus however this is not related with the hotel - it’s the location only.

We asked for a quiet room on a lower floor and we got it, room 104 looking out on a wall and the room that everybody passes as it was at the entrance of the hallway. Fortunately the college-kids werd not too loud. We had dinner and breakfast and the staff was amazing!

We wanted to extend our stay from 1 to 4 nights but the lady said it was not possible...the next morning, another lady (friendly and professional) could make it happen. The shower in room 104 did not work well.

Very nice hotel, most of the staff were friendly and professional, especially the lady at breakfast (and dinner, she seems to work 24/7) The swimming pool was nice, a bit cold. Breakfast was very good.

I booked an additional 3 nights for a standard room with 1 double bed but we got a 2-queens room. That's fine but when I checked the prices for that room it was cheaper than what I booked...discussion with reception did not help.

I don’t know if that is positive or negative. I didn’t feel the hotel vibe because the building I was in wasn’t tall, it was only 2 floors. So I’m confused 😅

Staff checked us in with our name as though they were expecting us, and amazingly pleasantly at nearly 12 am! The bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've ever slept in. Rooms are recently renovated, quiet, and very clean.

Very little needed improvement - the only negative I can think of was two Keurig regular coffee pods in the room would have been nice! We did not eat breakfast at the hotel, so I cannot comment on the quality of the on-site restaurant.

The bed was very comfortable We got a quiet room as we requested. It was very clean. The cleaning ladies did an awesome job!

Only downside with the room is that it had water damage on the wall by the window and by the bathroom door. Since I didn't smell any mold I was still ok with it but I hope they fix it soon.

Exceptionally Clean rooms

It was a health emergency for my toddler, the front desk staff was clueless about nearby urgent care clinic, also I was new to country and also it made me difficult to locate a pediatric doctor on the last day of the stay. The staff should have a atleast a list of nearby urgent care clinic just in case for people like me.
