The room was large and well appointed. Very clean and comfortable. Loved the location on the water with the great waterfront patio with restaurant and bar. The hotel amentities and grounds were very nice. And the staff was very kind and friendly. It was nice to have the coffee service on each floor in the morning, too. The hotel was withing walking distance to everything in Watkins Glen, restaurants, shops, and even the park.

This was the more pricey of the places we stayed in the Finger Lakes, but it provided value for that spend. The only thing we didn't like was leaving.

The Hotel was cleverly concealed in an ideal location, offering a breathtaking view of Seneca Lake and conveniently situated within walking distance of their State Park and falls. The area was also lined with charming small town shops and restaurants. Their restaurant served delectable food at reasonable prices. The staff was exceptionally polite, professional, and highly knowledgeable, ensuring that our stay was enhanced in every aspect. This extended to all staff members! We had gathered to celebrate my daughter’s 50th birthday with her cousin,and another great friend from school. Together, we embarked on a delightful journey to explore the renowned wineries in the area, all nestled along the picturesque lakes with stunning views. We had such a wonderful time that we can’t wait to return next year!

Did not have an outside pool or sitting area by the water but you could walk around the lake which was nice!

Location, staff and comfort were all excellent. Spacious rooms and hallways added to the comfort. The woman who served our table at breakfast and all the front desk staff were kind and welcoming.

I walked into the bar at about 9pm. I stood at the door, unsure if I should seat myself. 2 staff members made eye contact, walked right past me and never acknowledged that a customer had arrived. I sat at a table and after staff members walked past me 10-12 times, nobody asked to take my order. Not sure of the protocol, but it was generally a pretty cold atmosphere. I eventually placed my order with the bartender who was friendly and accommodating.

Great location in town. The quality of the room was really nice. The hotel was so accommodating when we needed a microwave to heat food up and silverware/plates. The atmosphere is beautiful.

Our room had a big tree blocking our view from our balcony- room 202. I specifically paid more money for the lake side view with a balcony and unfortunately in room 202, it is the same height as the tree right in front of the balcony. You could barely see the lake. I didn’t want to tell the staff because there wasn’t anything that could be done. We already unpacked our things if they were to move us to resolve the issue.

Loved the balcony. We would come back from site seeing and hang out on the balcony watching people working on their boats, eating on the grass, walking their dogs etc. Food was wonderful and the staff friendly and warm.

Did not like the pillows. Too Hard. Both of us were having neck and back pain. It was better the second night. I think we started to get adjust to them. Still we were happy to get home and sleep better. TV selections were poor. 200 channels but many were the same thing. Lots of reruns and info commercials. We were surprised that the hotel did not have bath tubs in their king size rooms. Almost every room only had a shower. When I travel I love to use a soaker tub at the end of the day to relax. It is my favorite part about traveling in Europe. I have reached an age where having a king sized bed and a soaker tub is the only way to travel. I will choose a hotel because of it.

We had a wonderful stay. Every staff member we encountered was kind and helpful. The hotel was clean. The facilities were just what we needed. The pool and hot tub and fitiness center were all clean and in working order. The hot coffee and tea each morning by the elevator was an unexpected touch. Turndown service was so nice. If we ever find ourselves back in the area, we would stay here. Nearby shops and eateries within walking distance. The view from the rooms is impeccable. Too bad it was so cold!

Loved this property from the moment we walked in the door. It is beautiful and far exceeded our expectations. The location is perfect. Walk to shops and restaurants. The rooms are beautifully decorated and large. My son had a balcony room which was really beautiful. I stay normally at 4-5 star category hotels and I would definitely put this hotel in the category of 5 stars I have stayed in when we travel to Boston. We honestly did not know where to stay as we had never been to Watkins Glen before. We loved everything about our stay. Everyone is so friendly it made us feel so welcomed. We came to town for our son's graduation from NYS Academy of Fire Science and we left wanting to come back for a vacation.

This is an exceptional option for anyone looking to visit the Finger Lakes. The hotel is perfectly located on the waterfront and walkable to the State Park and the entire downtown area, has a spacious patio area overlooking the lake, staff was excellent, amenities (complementary morning coffee on each floor, "grab-and-go" breakfast option to make an early morning visit to the State Park more convenient) are great, restaurant/bar were fine, lake-view room was top-notch. Rates are high for the area, but the value was definitely there.

Clean, attractive, great location on the lake and in the main downtown area. The pretty flowers and plants surrounding the property were a nice touch. You can tell the employees/owners care about the hotel and want a pleasant experience for guests. We did not eat at the hotel restaurant but it looked very high end and was nicely decorated.

We just wish we could have stayed longer and had a lake view room.

Our room overlooked the lake and had a balcony which was perfect. Very clean. Good location very close to shops and restaurants, an easy walk. We can recommend an excellent restaurant next door. Loved the fire pits in the garden. Water and soft drinks can be purchased in the hotel. Lots of parking spaces. Very knowledgeable and friendly gardeners and the cleaners were helpful.

Only minor things: We tried to book for dinner on our first night but couldn't get in, staff not very helpful so we didn't try again. No real walk along by the lake and reception lacked local knowledge. Cocktails weren't good, for the price they should be excellent (which would create repeat business). Coffee station coffee was usually cold in the morning, and no coffee machine in room. Turn-down service only worked on the first night.
