The hotel is beautiful and the views of the lake were lovely, the walks at the hotel were nice. We spent a day relaxing by the lake.
It's very remote and not alot around this area, such as restaurants you need to drive to go out to eat, which wouldn't of been a problem if the restaurant served better food, we stayed for 4 nights and to be honest 2 would have been enough. We ate in the restaurant and it wasn't very nice, the staff were lovely but the food was awful, the breakfast was ok but the same every morning, we had to keep asking for them to refill and top up the breakfast dishes.

We don't usually stay in places this nice, but it was the most affordable option for our family of a couple, my 86-year-old mother, and one adult son in town for a recital at Ithaca College in March. We had a roomy king bedroom, compact living area and a second BR with 2 single beds on an upstairs level. Apartment was very clean and modern and bathroom was huge. Best part? It was the best hotel breakfast I've ever had and the views of the lake were the best in the Ithaca area. We enjoyed the short walk to the Falls. I can see why they do a huge wedding business here because the grounds and outdoor facilities were amazing. First class experience, and surprisingly, the cheapest option that met our needs for that weekend. Highly recommend if the prices are reasonable.
Only two minor negatives: It is a fairly long drive from Ithaca so we spent more time on the road than if we stayed in town. We also had trouble getting the TVs to work properly - they were not intuitive - but that was only important because it was during NCAA championships basketball weekend and my mother is a huge fan.

It’s a beautiful inn in a great location. Walkable to the Falls! The entire staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. It was the same every morning, scrambled eggs, diced potatoes an assortment of breads. Yogurt and fruit. Coffee and juice. The burgers and beer event they have on Tuesday nights was a lot of fun and the burgers were good. Very nice view of the lake from the restaurant.
We stayed in the inn itself, which was nice and convenient, but we had absolutely no storage space for clothes besides, perhaps a bedside nightstand. No closets, no hooks, no hangers. Our friends who stayed in a yellow Lakeview room had a much bigger room and ample storage space. So decide which is more important for you.

The Inn at Taughannock Falls was perfect for our three-night stay. We had the Garden Room, which overlooked the garden and Enhancement tent and the lake. This corner room has tons of light from five windows, ample space, and was very comfortable. The free breakfast in the morning consists of scrambled eggs, the most delicious fried potatoes, toast, bagels, pastries, yogurt, fruit, granola, coffee, and juices. The restaurant was open for dinner on our last day and the food was excellent. On Tuesday when the restaurant is closed they have an event in the garden where they offer burgers, beer, and live music. The location is within walking distance of Taughannock Falls, which is definitely worth seeing, and driving to Ithaca and the other surrounding falls and parks only takes about twenty-five minutes. The staff are very helpful all throughout the day. We highly recommend this Inn and would definitely stay here again.
The room has a very large bureau for clothes, but we would have liked someplace to hang our clothes to air them out after hiking.

We loved it. We were late getting in, and the front desk waited on us, so we were lost in the dark. The falls suite was simply stunning!! I felt magical there during my stay. The water pressure and temp was like none other, and the heated bathroom floor took it to the next level. We enjoyed the private balcony and its amazing lake views. The staff were beyond helpful and just so pleasant. The breakfast was delicious, and I never left hungry. I felt spoiled by the food and service. The cool weather made using the firepit very enjoyable. The main inn is beautiful and historic at the same time. I can't wait to come back when the restaurant and food truck are in full swing! The walk to the falls was a delightful adventure.
That we had to leave!! We're already planning another trip!!!

There were only two “downsides” to our stay, and neither were that big of a deal. First - it would have been nice to have a mini fridge and access to ice. But we did stay in the older portion in the main inn. Again, not a big deal at all. The second thing - it would have been nice to have a QR code on the tables at breakfast to leave a tip for the wait staff. We also didn’t have a QR code for housekeeping. The staff were wonderful and we just forgot to grab cash. We absolutely loved the location of the Inn and being able to hike to the falls was lovely! The room was gorgeous and breakfast was delicious!! We had a wonderful stay and will probably be back!

We came for our daughter's winter University graduation. The hotel had very few guests since it was really out of season. However, we got full service and the attention to detail was felt, even when it could have been different. Our room in Lake View was remarkable with the spectacular lake winter view ( it snowed while we were there). Breakfast was delicious. The fresh croissants were AMAZING. And the Sophie outdid the service and made us feel welcomed.
It would have been helpful if the parking lot at the Lake View building had been salted after the snow, as it became icy. we were there 2 nights after, and it was still icy.

Beautiful historic Inn within walking distance to the State Park. Nice grounds and various seating areas around fire pits and a big fire place. Excellent restaurant (only open some days) and a bar that is open every night. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast buffet was great with many choices. We stayed in the Lakeview building with rooms and their private balconies overlooking Cayuga Lake. Large rooms with lots of storage space, microwave, fridge, Keurig coffee maker, and a large TV. Keep in mind the rooms on the lower floor need to be accessed via a staircase.
Coffee at breakfast could have been stronger. For a multi-day stay more variety in the breakfast buffet, like waffles and pancakes, would be nice. Mini-fridge and AC unit in the room were kind of noisy. We also prefer a firmer mattress.

Perfect location overlooking the lake and park. Close to many nice hiking trails. The garden and ground were beautiful, and it was fun and romantic to walk around or hang out by the fire and enjoy the lake view. We stayed at Lakeview room 73, the room is spacious and clean with a decent size patio/balcony overlooking the lake (again 😃). The breakfast was basic but sufficient with a good selection of juices.
- The coffee at the breakfast was below average, it didn’t pair well with the gorgeous views of the dining area. - The Keurig coffee machine in the room was dirty and moldy, and still had leftover water inside. Not sure when was the last time someone actually cleaned it.

This place is exceptionally beautiful! The room that we stayed in was so stylish, beautiful, comfortable and clean. The breakfast was really enjoyable and nice and we enjoyed a picture perfect view of the lake. The atmosphere is great and the place overall beautiful. The staff is very friendly and made you feel at home. The place overall is just gorgeous and the falls are not far to reach. No words can describe the views and surroundings. We had a great time staying there. Thank you very much to Carl and staff. We will highly recommend this place and will definitely come again.
There was nothing that we didn't like.
