The breakfast was okay, not the best I've had at a hotel that I've stayed at. The staff was very accommodating. My fiancée and I got locked out of our room the first night when the battery on the door died, and the woman at the front desk (I can't remember her name) attempted to replace the battery, and when she couldn't called maintenance. She even gave us a complementary $25 Visa gift card which was very much appreciated.

I was hoping that there would be a vending machine available at the hotel so I could grab a drink when I brought back some lunch so I didn't have to go out again.

The breakfast was very good and better quality and variety than most included breakfasts. The waffle maker was better quality than what is available at most hotels as well. I personally prefer non processes food and they had hard boiled eggs and fresh fruit. The fruit included bananas, apples and even cut up strawberries and blueberries without any preservative liquid on them.

The cleaners missed our room. We were there for 4 nights/5 days and the room was supposed to be cleaned every other day. We were missed on our second day and on the third day I requested that the room get refreshed and when we got back late it still wasn't done. At this point we just let it go and told the manager when we checked out. He was appreciative and wanted to correct it for the next person. My recommendation is to ask about the cleaning at check in just to confirm their policy.

My husband and I stayed at this property for one night while in town for a winery event. The location is very good to wineries, Cornell, and state parks. Although priced a little high for a Hampton Inn, I suspect that is due to its location near Cornell University. The king room was spacious, clean, and quiet. The buffet breakfast was typical for this hotel but there were plenty of options and the hot food was hot. We recommend this property if passing through the Ithaca area.

-clean rooms, rooms not smelling like ashtrays -Location, close to a few coffee shops and restaurants, not too far from downtown ithica (better restaurants and bars) -not too busy, fairly quiet overall -breakfast waffles / different flavours, at least 1 flavor rotated daily

-limited breakfast items which kept running out even when you showed up early (eg eggs) and not much variety daily (same old every day) -very noisy old air conditioning / make sure you pack ear plugs (or go to the Walmart which is a couple minutes away by car) -very small pool, gets crowded quickly

Breakfast was better than most "free" hotel breakfasts as it included hot items. But some of those items were cold, and the make your own waffle makers were popular so I couldn't try the waffles out. The room was fine, appeared clean, and the bed was comfortable.

The refrig and microwave were old. I couldn't get the microwave to work. The tv had no instructions on use, so I could find only two channels. (But I am a techno failure.)

Everything that matters for a hotel was there, both meeting and exceeding my expectations. The staff is outstanding: helpful, professional, available.

The position of the hotel may not be ideal but, after all, a quiet and comfy hotel may not be situated in the middle of the city so even this is not quite something I didn't like.

My room was very nice. The bathroom was very nice. I found the bed very comfortable. The only minor issue was the lack of a bathroom fan, which I found unusual. The free breakfast was good and the facility was very clean. The gym was clean and well taken care of. I did not use the pool and I regret not bringing swim trunks. The staff was very friendly and actually looked like they enjoyed their work! I will be back!

When we arrived the pool was closed and we were told it wouldn't open until the next day. Later I went downstairs and it was open. On the day we were to checkout we went to breakfast. When we went back to the room my phone key didn't work as the system had checked us out. The kitchen staff had no idea what food offerings might be gluten free for my son who has celiac disease.

I liked having a fridge and microwave in the room. Also liked the hooks on the wall and the big mirror in the main room. And THANK YOU for REAL HANGERS in the closet!

Need way more hooks and towel bars the bathroom. Also....Need more Gluten Free options at breakfast. Certified GF granola would be *awesome*. And dairy free yogurt.

The staff was very responsive when we had difficulty with our TV and friendly overall. I appreciate the breakfast and coffee service and I love that they have an indoor pool which feels great after a long day of travel or sightseeing.

TV was impossible to use and needed rebooting from a staff member. I was surprised that I now have to request room cleaning services and that it is no longer automatic.
