Love the changes made by the new owners. We have stayed here before but it was much nicer this time. If you're looking for a five star hotel this isn't it, however if you want friendly, helpful staff, a clean room, awesome location near cornell, nice basic breakfast and very comfortable beds this is the place. Plenty of drawers, fridge and microwave along with a coffee maker. Even adjusting the heat/cold was easy.
Only concern was the heater/ac unit was covered in what I think was paint, honestly didn't like the way it felt when adjusting the temperature. Would like to have seen that cleaned.

The room was renovated in the past year with all new everything -- new carpet and a new bathroom, etc. The bed was VERY comfortable and the location was very quiet. While there were other guests staying there at the same time as us (including next door), we didn't hear them at all. Everything we needed was in the room, such as a blow dryer, clean towels, soaps and shampoo, iron, ironing board, suitcase stand, a great lighted mirror, lots of outlets, a mini fridge, a large and a large new TV. The location, close to Ithaca College (where we went for graduation) was great -- just 15 minutes down Dryden Rd. There is very accessible parking right outside each unit. The owners were easy to contact via a bell in the office. They were very kind and helpful. They offered great cookies in the office 24/7 and a decent continental breakfast in the mornings (hard boiled eggs, yogurt, toast, bagels, coffee, cereal). I would recommend Springwater Inn!
The TV was new and a little confusing to operate. It would have been helpful to have a written guide on how to find network channels, Netflix, etc.

The room was immaculate. The outside is quite dated, but the owner told us that they are working on renovations. The bed was comfortable, the air conditioner was in the back of the room, so noise was minimal, and the bathroom was absolutely beautiful! The continental breakfast had a lot of choices between cereal, toast and fruit.
I wish I had known about steps to the second floor. I would have requested a first floor room as I recently had foot surgery. Also, people were outside talking until after midnight. I know they can't be controlled, but it was rude. The price was quite high, but it was the only place in the area. We would go back, but hope the prices come down.

The place was VERY clean. It was also very quiet even though there were a number of other guests there. We had stayed in two other places on this trip and by far the room at Springwater was the largest. The bathroom was bright. I especially liked the light-up mirror . I also appreciated the shower gel, shampoo and soap dispensers attached to the shower wall and hand soap and lotion dispensers at the sink. We had two queen beds that were very comfortable. The proprietor was very pleasant and helpful when giving a restaurant suggestion which turned out to be delicious (The Antlers right down the road). The continental breakfast provided several options. The coffee was fresh brewed and better (stronger) than the big chain places we had stayed. We were also VERY pleased with the cost of the room. If ever we travel that way again I would definitely return to The Springwater Inn
Everything was good. I wouldn’t change a thing

Like another reviewer said, don't judge the book by its cover. From the outside it may look like a motel, but it is because it is still being renovated. The rooms are completely renovated. Large kind bed which are extremely comfortable. Bathrooms are all new with tiled floors and shower walls. Overall a great find if visiting the Ithaca area. Away from the craziness of downtown. Can park literally outside the door of the room. Breakfast was great with decent choices of cereal, toast, bagels, fruits, juice and good coffee. The office staff was very friendly.
The AC is a little loud but fully functional and kept the room cool. I slept through it.

Fantastic Staff! Nice welcoming and we arrived very late( sorry for that). New owners ,they are updating some rooms, they apologised for the inconveniences, but it was nothing to apologise for. No noise or any disturbing or bothering situation. The room was more than clean and breakfast was fabulous: bagels, fruit, cheerios, milk, coffee, butter, yogurt…the only thing is that you have to eat it in your room. For us that is not a problem, on the contrary, the room was comfy to eat there. On the top of that, we had microwave, fridge, hair drier, iron … in the room,we were delighted, convenient location to visit the Finger lakes. We wish you all the best!
I wish we could have stayed more days

Never judge a book by its cover. From outside looked a bit dated, however, the room was very nice and updated. Bed and pillows very comfortable. New carpet. Good size room had everything we needed. Nice hot shower with good water pressure. Safe area easy parking. We arrived 2 hours early and there was no problem checking in at that time. Would definitely stay here again.
walls are a bit thin could hear the shower in another room

A very underrated motel. The room was large and quiet. The motel is in the middle of a major upgrade. However, our room was as neat as a pin, despite it's age. The rooms were also very quiet. We didn't realize that the construction were working on our lsdt morning until we walked outside. We are looking forward to staying there on our next trip to the Ithaca area. I am also pretty sure there is a bus stop very nearby.
Hoping that the mattresses are also updated.

This was my favorite hotel stay this trip, and I’ve had quite a few. The room was clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable. The staff were helpful and kind. The breakfast included fresh fruit and orange juice In addition to the pastries and cereal options. I loved the decor. and that is what made it unique. It was not your typical blah neutral tans and grays but instead had a multicolored bedspread and a pink tiled bathroom wall with a maroon border as was popular in the 40’s and 50’s. The room key was metal, not electronic. For me it brought back memories of the way travel used to be and some of the wonderful customs that we have lost along the way. All in all, it was a delightful stay.

It’s an older property, but very clean and comfortable. I stay here every time I come for business. I’m in the medical imaging business and CORNELL university is my client. It’s not the Sheraton Grand in Chicago I stayed the night before. I can see a Sheridan grand hotel in Chicago and then stay here at the Embassy in the next night and be happy, most people should be happy too.
It’s not stylish, but it’s five minutes away from my final destination, it’s priced very economically, comfortable and clean.
