The room was clean, comfortable and had all the basic facilities I would expect in this type of accommodation. Check-in was efficient and staff are pleasant. Great location for a trip to western North Carolina, especially if you are looking to explore the outdoors. The town of Black Mountain is lovely. One of the most notable things was how walkable the town is, it even felt safe to walk around in evening/once it had gotten dark. The Super8 is well located for walking into town/to the lake and also for easy access to highways if driving to other attractions such as Asheville, South Mountain State Park or Mount Mitchell.

The breakfast offering lacked variety, when we stayed the only item available was a pack of two muffins (either chocolate or blueberry). We knew going in that cooked items wouldn't be available however, we thought there might be more choice of pastries. There is also limited space to sit and east breakfast outside of your room. There is no dining area as such.

I really liked my big bed. one of the biggest i've ever slept in. The microwave was really clean and easy to use. the desk was at a good height to eat my dinner as well. I also had the ability to park my car right in front of my room. That made moving things in and out so accomodating. The heat in the room worked quickly and effectively. Shower felt brand new and the height of the sink in the room made it so i could easily fill waterbottles. Just so many possitive small touches.

Not my favorite color of bedspread. The windows had the black out curtains but didn't have something for mid day sunlight. don't want to stay in a dark box all the time. be nice if there was something between a completely open and completely closed window shade.

Some group of workers talking loud for half hour or more. I asked them kindly the first time to lower their voices or move away. Even when they went down the stairs they would talking loud to others upstairs. The last time I stayed here workers were loud room next to mine for hour or more. I would suggest to host others non working Visitors away from the workers. There is many empty rooms both times I had stayed here. Thank kindly store

Check in was quick and efficient. Staff happy to engage if you want a small conversation. Staff very pleasant. Room clean and tidy. Hotel is located at one end of Black Mountain, but within easy walking distance. Bed was comfortable. Tub was of a size that you could soak (important to us Brits!) Dollar General nearby for things you may have forgotten. Microwave and fridge all working. In the main, quiet, not paper thin walls.

That being said, as all doors are facing out into the car park area, if someone arrives late or with a hoard of kids, it can be for that period of the unload a tad noisy. It settles down quick enough and this is more to do with the selfishness of people than anything the hotel can sort.

We stay at Wyndham hotels pretty much wherever we travel to and this one here just appeared to need some exterior updating... The rims were nice but again the exterior and overall appearance could use some updating compared to others we stayed in.

By first appearance it just seemed to be older and outdated. Not as sharp and crisp and clean as others.

I found this hotel the price was amazing the owner was o polite and caring. Check in and out was an absolute breeze. The rooms could use some touch ups but other than that they was clean comfortable and everything. This place was a god send. I would stay there again.

We liked the room, overall. It was very clean when we checked in. The location was good in our opinion, close to the shops and directly in front of a mexican restaurant which was absolutely delicious. TV was a huge plus.

The bed was slightly uncomfortable, woke up the first morning and our backs were hurting. We stayed in a king size bed room that was handicap accessible, the shower was very nice except the water doesn’t flow directly to the drain so water was getting all over the bathroom floor. Furniture was slightly outdated.

I was visiting the area on my motorcycle and had to get a room while I repaired the bike. My last minute same day booking was handled very easily and I was welcomed as soon as I arrived. Absolutely great location, easy access to highway 9 or the interstate and downtown. Clean, cozy facility with kind staff and quiet guests.

I enjoyed everything about my stay at this property.

The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. Good location, very close to downtown Black Mountain.

The coffee was awful, but there is a Starbucks very close. Breakfast consisted of prepackaged muffins and a pastry.

Everything was great I just wish someone told us that we needed to request room towels and cleaning. We got back late n had no towels. Other then that we love it. We come a few times a yr. Our daughter goes to collage 7 minutes away. And works at the Mexican restaurant next to the beautiful stream in the parking lot. We felt very safe at this motel. Thank you.

No room service for towels or trash
