We loved our stay here it was GREAT !!!!!! It was an affordable, clean, comfortable, relaxing stay !!!!! The location is CONVENIENT as well because it's close to Bryson City, Cherokee, and about 20 minutes from Sylva. Now I will say if you are looking for luxury this definitely isn't the place for you, but if you like a vintage , clean, quiet, cozy, and country look and feel of things this is perfect for you. Will and his staff are exceptional and very accommodating !!!!!! Will went above and beyond to make our stay nice and comfortable. I had to add another day to my stay when I got there because the event I was attending added another day to its lineup and I didn't find out about it til like 24 hrs prior to me checking into my room. He made it easy and made sure we had a room for the last night of the event. Now he had to end up moving us to another room because the room we were staying in was already reserved for that night, but he gave it to us at a discounted price and plus made sure his staff cleaned the new room up first before they cleaned any other room up , so we can put our stuff in it and we wouldn't have to wait for them to get done , and all of them made us feel very welcoming and comfortable. I was a lil upset when I first got there because the pool was out of commission but we got to swim in the private river in the back and my boys got to go tubing without having to deal with a lot of people which made it easier and better for them because they were able to have a lot more fun on the river then they would have had in the pool. The balcony facing the river was nice and relaxing as well .THE RIVER AND BALCONY BOTH WAS AN AWESOME ASCENT TO THE MOTEL !!!!!! I will also say unless you call them for something they won't bother you while you are staying there which is nice but if you want room service you have to let them know.

That the pool was out of commission that's really the only thing bad I can say about the place but really not even that because you have the river which is so much better !!!!!

Room had everything we needed and tons of spaces for cooking. Close to lots of outdoor activities. Probably the nicest staff I have ever met.

If you are planning to cook there plan to bring plates cups/mugs, and any bake ware you need. Sheets have seen better days as well. The 2 bedroom apartment with kitchen listing is a little misleading. It is more of two motel rooms one with a kitchen attached. They have a jack and jill bathroom that connects the two rooms. Not a problem, for the price I would have still booked but I wouldn't call it an apartment.

It wasn't my first time staying at Lloyds and won't be my last. It is an older inn and could use some updates but that shouldn't deter anyone. The price and location is unbeatable. Perfect for a quick weekend getaway. Situated between Bryson city and Cherokee. The AC/heat unit in our room went out the first night but they quickly moved us to another room. No hassles just great service. I also love the back porch over looking the river. Great place to unwind after a long day exploring the nearby towns.

I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was nice, comfortable, and well-maintained. The hospitality from the staff was warm and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The location is also excellent—close to the river, which made it convenient and enjoyable to explore the area. Overall, a great place to stay.

The river. Can sit and look at the oconaluftee river all day. Five minute drive to cherokee or Bryce city. Super clean, excellent wifi and cable. Picnic tables and grills in front of the river. You can fish if you choose. There's geese. Friendly staff, friendly motel dwellers. Pet friendly. Smoker friendly (outside). Coffee pot, fridge, microwave. More photos on Google.

No three prong plug outlet near table. Have to move furniture to plug in laptop. No lamp. Only a ceiling light. The pool is closed. The ac won't stay on or the fan setting. Constantly clicking on and off. I brought my own fan. There's no handle on the microwave.

All I can say is that we enjoyed our stay at Lloyd's On The River Country Inn. Although, like most older properties, it could use some TLC updating (what doesn't), we had a room with a water view and a sitting area out the sliding door to listen to the water passing by. No complaints that would make me choose any other location in the area. Great place to relax and get away from a busy life. We will be back for a longer stay next time.

Friendly helpful staff. Pet friendly dogs liked drinking from and walking in the river. clean room, Close to town, plenty of places to fish. Nice back patio facing river open spots to fish if you want to. Grills and picnic tables out back. Beds are more comfortable than most hotels, pillows are a bit stiff, I prefer them that way tho. Best sleep I've had in days!

The toilet is a bit touchy, really gotta hold the button down. Neighbors smoking sucked in through the a/c unit or fireplace.

Everything was good I especially like the dude who checked us in very sweet friendly.

Now don't get me wrong this place is amazing. But the only two things I had a problem with was the bed was a little hard but that's most hotels. The second was that I was disappointed that the pool was not working.

We chose this hotel because of its good value, but also to enjoy a few hours sitting on the back deck overlooking the river. The charm of this place is that it‘s not a box type, corporate-run hotel, it’s a local business run by people who are part of the community. It‘s older, but very clean, the rooms are nicely decorated, and the covered back deck and river are the bomb. Even nice during the rain! In-room coffee, all the regular stuff you need for a comfortable stay— all that was just great. Who wants to stay in a box-hotel when you can overlook the river?
