The breakfast and the restaurant staff were great. I loved that there was a small gym at the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. My boyfriend and I loved the front desk cookies put out every evening too. I also appreciated that we could check in and get access to our room early.

The room was a bit small and cramped for two people. The Sunday brunch buffet at the restaurant was delicious but expensive (considering there was no option to order the normal breakfast).

Extremely smart and comfortable setting - feels very high quality. Parking and valet staff very helpful and professional. Nice location and environment.

Noise from the outside patio during the late evening (my room was 319). Breakfast menu was limited and portions quite small. Some of the receptionists didn't reflect the high standards of customer service that the hotel environment represents - in that they did not seem welcoming, customer minded or happy to help.

The recent renovations, infusing the history of the property and UNC Chapel into all the rooms, even the common areas. The proximity to campus, a 10 minute walk. The customer service was above and beyond. The bartenders make excellent cocktails!

The size of the rooms and the Wifi. I completely understand that one pays for the history, and location, while staying here. (The hotel was built in the 1920s.) Thank goodness I was solo traveling for work, as the room was quite cramped. I constantly bumped into things. Small quarters, I understood, were a given. (Though I hear there are suites, so that'd be good for a family.) The dropping of the wifi? After 5 pm, I would get constantly kicked off and it was frustrating as I was doing work emails. Request a room with good wifi!

The ambience and staff

I was initially given a room that had an adjoining door which was not sound proof. The reception staff didn't hesitate to rehouse me in another room, so I was happy with their response. I also asked for a kettle, and was so pleased this was provided without any hassle.

It was such a festive atmosphere on homecoming weekend. A So the little extras like lemon water and cookies in the lobby, chocolates and pillow spray in the rooms. It was perfect!

The room prices are a little much. I have stayed here before on an off weekend fir less than 1/2 the price so it does feel like out of town UNC are taken advantage of

Housekeeping was spotty at best and didn’t attend to the basics. The wait staff at the restaurant was slow and not very capable of the simplest requests.

The hotel exceeded our expectations, the location is wonderful, the hotel is in great condition, the staff was super friendly and the restaurant was great for breakfast and dinner. We loved it.

Nicely decorated

The hotel said in the online directory that if we ordered food delivery from outside the food can be delivered directly to the room by giving the delivery service our room number but in reality the staff simply call us to go down to get our food instead.

Lobby was comfortable. Rooms Were quiet. Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel Van was beneficial for short rides within town.

Had a dark room. Bathrooms was quite small. Only 1 luggage rack for a room that sleeps 4 people.

A beautiful hotel! Wonderfully decorated, excellent food at the Resturant, rooms are spacious, a lot of different locations throughout the inn to relax or gather with friends!
