Views were lovely, overlooking a field of horses and the river. Nice back porch, well equipped kitchen. Hiking around the resort and horse back riding and fishing available.
Very steep entry to cabin down a flight of steps. Cable tv didn't work and no wifi, phone connection was ok. Decor a bit dated and steps and rail a bit wobbly. Huge caterpillar and digger out back, said they were removing diseased pines. If they could make a driveway for a back entrance that would solve the steep stairway. This was the only cabin that didn't have a street level entry. The third bedroom was upstairs and a lot warmer than downstairs, split ac was comfortable for downstairs but glad we didn't need that upstairs bedroom.

Stayed in cabin 122 near campground area. Was in area for hiking at Roan Highlands so didn't use facilities or horseback riding. Beautiful property secluded in the country just a few miles outside of Spruce Pine village. Cabin was well maintained and clean. Nice gas fired BuckStove. Views down to horse paddock very nice. Facilities including stables, ponds, and hiking trails. This particular cabin very quiet but could be more people during summer camping season.
No complaints. Location a bit out of the way, but only 10 minute drive to village or stores.

I came here every year since 2017 and I always leave planning my next stay. This time I wanted a wine cup and when I asked for it, one of the staff members showed up on my door in minutes. They are always very kind.
Could update the decorations for new items, but it is not a real problem. The place is amazing.

The coziness of the cabin and the atmosphere were very welcoming and serene. The bed was comfortable, the living room and furniture very nice! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will likely stay here again.
Our cabin didn’t seem to have a working bathroom fan, which led to some smelly mornings 😜. The toilet paper was very frail and crumbled when wiping; could have used a stronger TP.

The staff at Springmaid Mountain is exceptional, communicative, and really cares that you have a great experience. They write out details that you need clearly and are always on site to answer the phone or meet up with at the lodge. They do their BEST unlike many 'a service I have met. The setting is beautiful and the horseback riding is a great value and scenic and has great trail leaders. If you stay here, horse back riding and fishing is a MUST. It was very relaxing over all and the staff address any issue we had promptly.
The living spaces and heating are outdated, but the rustic-ness of the place should appeal to many. The beds are very firm, the couch is very comfy, and the basic necessities are provided!

The cabin was surrounded by wonderful quiet. Everything worked smoothly. Gas fireplace was a really nice touch. We were greeted by our host in a super friendly way.
Farther than we expected from Little Switzerland. Kitchen could use some upgrades. Placed kind of smelled closed up when we arrived.

The location is peaceful and beautiful. We love the cabin. It’s roomy and always clean. Lovely mountain towns nearby with some good restaurants and shops to explore.
Really we liked everything about our stay.

This resort is cabins, with kitchen equipped with everything but food & drink. Not a B&B.
A little more work recommended on paths up to cabins, our car dug into the gravel a little, another couldn't make it. Not a big deal, a bit of tractor work needed.

Very nice, very clean, well equipped cabin. it was very quiet but no one else was in the area we were in, not sure how it will be in the summer when everyone is there for vacation. not too far from town/shopping. Staff was very nice.
Almost needed four wheel drive to get up the road to the cabin.
