The spacious, fully equipped apartment unit 101-B offers two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a two-story townhouse layout with two balconies. The interior stayed wonderfully warm despite the 15°F temperatures and gusty winds outside. The apartment boasts a stunning view of Beech Mountain, adding to its charm. The free shuttle service to the slopes was incredibly convenient, eliminating the need to use a car. Rides were readily available, including on-demand service via phone.

The clubhouse facilities could use some updates, particularly the pool and recreational room. The pool area was uncomfortably cold, making it uninviting for swimming or even lounging. Unfortunately, the jacuzzi was out of service during our stay, though we likely wouldn’t have used it due to the chilly pool deck. The apartment features a log fireplace, which is a nice touch, but no basic supplies like firewood or tools to light it are provided. Guests need to purchase everything themselves if they wish to use the fireplace.

We picked this location in Sugar Mountain because it was supposed to snow that week-end, we LOVE snow!! We were not disappointed!! The view, the condo, the location was awesome!! We would stay here again but hope the same people staying above us wasn't staying there. They walked like they were marching, even the light fixture above the dining room table was shaking and rattling. Very disappointing to have to here that the whole time, but I know it wasn't the owners fault! Just very rude people!! We would stay here again, when in the area or if we need to see some snow!!

Everything about the condo was great, just the rude, LOUD people above us, was not very pleasant!!

The apartment was comfortable, spacious with an updated kitchen and floors. Great location for skiing at Sugar. Nice view of the mountains, beautiful sunset from the balcony, playground and outdoor checkers. The indoor playroom had boardgames, puzzles, a pingpong table, a pool table and a foosball. The pool is pretty large and the hot tub and sauna provided a nice relaxation after a full day of skiing.

The pool and hot tub area could be cleaner, standing puddles of water. It was adequate for the low price we paid and our expectations of an older property.

Great location on Sugar Mountain with lovely views. The unit was cozy and spacious. Functional wood burning fireplace perfect for cold, winter nights. The in-unit dryer is very helpful for wet ski clothing. After a day on the slopes, the dry sauna and jacuzzi were relaxing. Check in & out was a breeze. Staff was pleasant. I look forward to our next trip!

View was great, room was bigger than I expected, had a washer and dryer nice size living room, kitchen with bar seating as well as kitchen table two glass sliding doors! I never wanted to leave! Staff were friendly. One of the best vacations I've ever had at a great price. Will definitely be coming back.

No air condition so bring fans, although we left our sliding doors open with screens shut and we never got hot. It was a peaceful breeze and great view. No one bothered us, and it was still quiet and romantic that way!

Stuff was very nice, it had everything one family need it. It was not the first class but there was enough for the value.

Even though we brought everything, salt, sugar etc. still I was very surprised that there was literally nothing there not even table salt and pepper…

Our 16-person group stayed in 2 apartments at the Highlands to go skiing at Sugar. For the cost, this place absolutely exceeded expectations. The view (see pictures) was spectacular, the extra blankets/bedding for the couch beds were great, and it was easy access to skiing (4 min drive or there was even a shuttle!). We used the kitchens to cook and they were in great working condition. We also loved the heated indoor pool (goes to 8 ft deep!) and the hot tub - it was a great place to hang out in the evenings.

The main building with the pool/hot tub could stand to be renovated, but it does seem like it is kept up well and cleaned. Shower water pressure wasn't extremely high but no big deal. Would have liked maybe a few more towels for the pool, but we used it probably more than most guests.

Staff was super nice! Nice, cozy, great views.

The pool water was very cloudy and there should be more info about the shuttle bus. The bed in the unit I stayed in needs to be replaced. It's very uncomfortable & old. Also, the people in the unit above me walked like they had cement shoes- so loud!

We had a very good experience here. Everything was very nice clean and the views were absolutely beautiful. We were here for the woolly worm festival we will definitely come back.

The only bad thing that I did not like was the mattress on the pull out sofa was very uncomfortable and dated. That is the only problem that we had.

This was a great option when visiting Banner Elk. It's a lot nicer and spacious than the Best Western. The actual living space is large and quiet. Our unit had everything you could need. And we had the best view to wake up to!

We couldn't use the fireplace and lacking TV channels. But we adjusted the heat observed nature.
