The staff was AMAZING. Debbie was exceptionally nice and responsive to my many questions. The gentleman at the front desk was also incredibly kind. I am sorry, I did not get his name. I so appreciate your kindness! The Deckhouse was very spacious with large rooms. The Birdhouse had an easy access driveway.

The driveway to the Holiday (Deck) House needs paved. I was not able to get my Chevy Malibu up the drive, due to the many ruts. If you have a 4 wheel drive, this will not be an issue. Fortunately, the others in the family had vehicles that could handle it. Someone should let people know prior to booking that this driveway is steep and treacherous. If the others weren't there, I would have had some problems with access to the cabin. Please also repair the wood on the deck of the cottage (Birdhouse), a child could easily get hurt on that deck as some of the pickets are not attached properly on the railing. It is a big concern.

The cabin was quirky and neat in an ideal location to the Parkway, Mt Mitchell, and the Carolina Hemlock Recreation area. The sound of the creek nearby was beautiful. The construction of the cabin was unique. So well stocked, especially the kitchen staple items like spices, ice cube trays, condiments, etc.

Surprisingly, while we were there, lots of road noise as it sits right on the side of the road where people turn off and on to another road.

Quiet and relaxing Front desk very friendly They even had dog toys waiting Definitely recommend. The Tree House bungalow has a nostalgic feel. We don't require updated anything as long as it's clean, and it definitely was 10/10. Wifi for my kids was a plus. Beds comfortable. You can hear and see the creek from the porch. My son pointed out how to work the shower— there is a "knob" under the faucet you pull. Overall 10/10.

Was our first time in the mountains. Pretty much loved everything about it! My 9 yr.old son & I really enjoyed ourselves, as well as the nice cabin we stayed in.. We got out & sight saw & got to meet some friendly faces. By the way the waterfall was gorgeous! I had just turned 45th & was in a car crash days earlier & celebrating my B-day...which im Blessed to be alive to even enjoy this experience, I had already booked my trip so I still decided to go & I'm glad we did.. I would love to go back one day..definitely worth it!

The winding roads & it rained & was a little chiller @ times more than I would have liked, but I don't know if it's always like that or not..or just the time of the year. Also not much yard to parking space to turn around.

The location of the cabin is spectacular, the staff is super friendly, we were very happy with the place.

The proximity to the waterfalls to nature, the mountains, the location of the cabin is incredible.

Great location. Earned the name “River Song” because you constantly heard the nearby River even though you weren’t right on it. Beautiful view. Also, very appreciative of how pet friendly it was.

Although cabin was comfortable and well equipped, the furnishings were old and felt to be on their last legs.

Adorable, old fashioned cabin in a beautiful location near beautiful hiking trails and cute towns. Everything a family needs for a comfortable stay. The owner was super accommodating and communicative.

We really liked the place!

It was close access to mt . mitchell state park. It was close to all local attractions. The rooms were nice and clean.

We lost power one evening about 5 and it didn't come back on until after 11 that evening.

I liked the uniqueness of the place. My son called it a spaceship. The staff was friendly and check in was a breeze. If you want peace and quiet this is the place for you.

As much as we enjoyed ourselves there the only drawback was the place being far away from everything.
