From the moment we arrived, very late, to the hotel, we were warmly greeted and quickly checked into our rooms. The lady at the front desk was very kind and engaging and the stunning arrangement of varied, mountain wildflowers on the counter was breathtaking. Even though it was late, there was still fresh, hot coffee and water for hot tea or chocolate milk, which was wonderful and very much needed. Our room was conveniently located, quiet, very clean, and comfortable as we expect from Hampton Inns! The seating area for breakfast was VERY comfortable with a variety of seating options, pillows, and types of backs to accommodate various body needs which made it a great place to not only enjoy breakfast, but also to get some much needed work done. Additionally, the food was really good and offered a variety of options from quick-on-the-go to leisurely-heavy breakfast foods and beverages from which to choose. And the seating area outside featured a large gas firepit that was perfect for enjoying the chilly morning air or crisp evening with a nice glass of wine before bed (all we needed were some marshmallows and we'd have been set)! The hotel's location made you think you were tucked away in the mountain side, away from anyone, but actually, we were very close to the shops and restaurants in town. Perfect in every way. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and again.

That we only had time for two nights!

The hotel was very clean and the staff was extremely nice and professional. My view was amazing. I love that they have a few places to work at if needed. Their cubicles are spacious and have outlets. There are several nice restaurants close by to visit as well as a grocery store.

The only thing that I would suggest is to have bacon on the breakfast bar more often. I was there for 4 days, and it was only turkey sausage and pork sausage links that didn't look done. I'm sure they were the pre-cooked ones, but they needed some color. :) The rest of the breakfast was excellent. They even had blueberry waffles, and they were delicious. The lighting could be better in the room, but the sunlight helps during the day. Wouldn't be the best on a cloudy day.

Breakfast was good, staff was helpful amd friendly, location to downtown was great.

We did not travel with an animal but noticed alot of guests did. You should have certain rooms reservered for those guests that have dogs. Unfortunately our room smelled like a wet dog, we just dealt with the smell.i would have preferred a room that did not previouly have an animal stay in it.

Double booking. Got the run around from the staff when we asked for help.Was promissed by management that we would be refunded for the extra night we didn't want. I was told that they could not provide me with a receipt upon check out. During our stay I witnessed 4 other guest arguing with the staff claiming to be double booked. I had to put hold on my credit card to get the credit I was promised. Hilton honors member since 2006.

The hotel feels brand new, everything was clean, in good order and pleasantly designed. Breakfast was varied, with eggs, bacon, oatmeal, yogurt, fruit salad(!), and various others. There's also complimentary fresh fruit and coffee to grab throughout the day. Overall the food situation was a step above your average hotel. Our room faced south (to the highway) and had a very nice mountain view. Location was convenient, about 10 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Breakfast was great, variety was great, staff very friendly and helpful, to go bag was big hit with my wife, she does not eat first thing in morning, last visit to Hilton in Myrtle beach , S C, near Carolina Opry was a total disappointment, We had decided on no more Hilton, but tried Black mountain , very pleasant surprise, very nice, like we expected from Hilton, will definitely stay again

Great location. Awesome mountain view from the room. Easy to find. Cleanliness was top class. Check in, check out process was hassle-free. Breakfast was ok. Overall great stay. I was there only for one night stay. Would love to stay at this hotel again.

The oatmeal was not ready even at 8:30-9 am. (considering breakfast time starts at 6 a.m.) But that was fine for me but might not be for all. I hope it was an issue only for that day. The staff at the breakfast could be little more friendlier.

Black Mountain is a very cool community, the hotel is within walking distance, but still slightly isolated from the crowds. Room was clean, bed was very comfortable, and shower was amazing! Also, one of the best continental breakfasts ever, amazing selection!

No restaurant and by the time we got to the hotel, food options were limited!

We loved the view of town and the room being close to the stairs and side door! We have stayed here many times while visiting Black Mountain and have always had good experiences.

I don't eat dairy so I would've enjoyed a few dairy free options for breakfast. A dairy free coffee creamer (or even just a non-dairy milk for cereal, etc.) would've been a great start! We also would've enjoyed having a water bottle filling station on our floor. There is one on the ground level, but none as you go up. This makes getting a quick drink rather inconvenient, unless you're willing to drink the sink water, which doesn't taste that great IMO.

Getting to the hotel via Uber, Lyft, etc is easy, but nearly impossible to get out of there in the same manner. if you stay at this hotel it is best to have a rental or your own car, because ride share drivers are not going to be in the area unless you happen to catch them dropping someone off- usually from the airport. I ended up contacting a taxi and they charged me nearly 5x the amount that Uber or Lyft would. That was extremely stressful and off putting about the location of the hotel. In the future this is something that would deter me from returning as a customer. A hotel shuttle would help a lot.
