I booked this hotel literally minutes before i checked in. i had just came from a place where i found bugs so i was not staying there!! the lady over the phone at the lobby helped me with my door code and everything was smooth since then. The place was incredibly clean, I feel like I got so much more than I bargained for just looking at the photos online. There was ample room for everything there were even dishes available to use. there were so many surprises and nice things that I noticed during my stay. The location was nice the neighborhood and street were quiet. The water was nice and hot in the shower as well. sorry for the blurry pictures, it was originally a video I thought they took videos lol

May be a bit more privacy, the windows in the kitchen area were only covered halfway. My last night there I heard a family either next-door to me or above me, I couldn’t isolate the sound. but the noise does carry in there if there is a little too much bumping going on.

We had units C/D and it was very charming. The bedrooms were classy and the bathrooms/kitchen were modern and nicely done. A pair of pocket doors separated units C/D. They were beautiful. The bathroom in unit D was huge, and both bathrooms had huge showers. There was plenty of parking space and the neighborhood was quiet.

The door to unit C was hard to open/close. It was sticking and may have been due to humidity. We used Unit D's door instead. The bathroom in Unit D needs a vanity to place items on. It is plenty big to put one in. I had to use the back of the toilet or floor to set items down on. The toilet paper holders in both bathrooms need to be changed out. The rolls kept falling off.

The home is stunning. The wood fireplace, the stain glass. Loved the large windows that gave a lot of natural light. It was styled very pretty as well.

The unit was very hot. The ac was not working but it was cool enough at night that we were able to open the windows and the large fans in the rooms did help with circulation. I did call to see if I just had the setting wrong on the thermostat and the lady that I spoke with was willing to bring extra fans to help us be more comfortable. She also offered to move us units. I was very pleased with her communication. However, we did leave behind a stuff animal (my 2 year old’s, iykyk) and I called, emailed, left multiple messages with booking.com and the actual house owners and never got any kind of communication back. That was pretty frustrating to reach out and have no one respond.

First the “hits“: The location can’t be beat. It is located in a charming old section of the town, less than a five minute walk from shops, restaurants , and the wharf. The rooms, really suites, are located in a charmingly restored mansion. Our suite was large, airy, clean, and well decorated. Much to our surprise it even featured a washing machine and dryer.

Now the “misses“: there was only 1/2 roll of toilet paper in the bathroom, and the shampoo and soap dispensers in the shower were empty. Finally, the “fitted“ sheet did not fit the bed. These were housekeeping miscues. A phone call to the rental agency brought quick resolution.

We stayed in Unit C/D, (two bedrooms with 3 beds & two full bathrooms), and it was honestly great! We are planning to recommend this property to friends and when we’re back in the area, we will be staying here again. It has been perfectly updated, emphasizing the original architectural details, while making it feel like home. Great location— It’s so close to a cute little park on the lake and minutes away from *so* many other main attractions in Sandusky.

If we were to be picky, the only suggestion we would have is to add some furniture of some kind to the larger bathroom so there’s a place to put a toiletry bag and maybe a change of clothes… other than that, we got nothin’!

This home is located in a beautiful neighborhood near Lake Springfield. We only stayed one night but would have loved to stay more. There were so many areas inside and outside the house to relax and enjoy the quiet of the evening. There is a refrigerator dedicated to guests to store items that needed cooling. In the morning, we enjoyed coffee from an amazing coffee machine. The owners were helpful in letting us make a last-minute change to our reservation and in giving us suggestions on places to eat. We want to come back here and stay longer.

Absolutely nothing!

Spacious, great use of space, heating great for the snowy weather, great finishes.

1. Stairs not great with heavy luggage 2. hosts don’t respond to queries- trash was full and did not respond how/where to discard so it piled up in the kitchen 3. I rebooked my stay- adjacent to the previous one (reduced occupants) and they took advantage of it and decided not to come through to clean and provide new towels/linens. Sent an email and request that it was a new booking and the ignored it. Escalated to booking.com customer service and nothing was still done.

The property was beautiful and the facilities were brand new. In unit washer and dryer that blew my mind, I’ve never seen that in a rental. It was exactly what we needed last minute and ideal location for cedar point and other beaches.

I had a very hard time checking in. not entirely the property’s fault, when using third party booking sometimes things happen but the locks were temperamental and had to stand outside in the heat for almost an hour trying to get inside.

Great house and great location…Loved walking around the neighborhood and down to the lake…Great back yard also…The kids and I loved staying there over all…Would definitely stay there again if available…

The porch light was on the whole night and the Exit sign was both bright and hard to sleep…The lady across the street was cussing loudly at some kids saying some pretty harsh stuff and hateful…It only happened once though…

Beautifully restored property that was both elegant, spacious and comfy. We didn’t use the kitchen to cook but it seemed well stocked, including some snacks. Super easy check in. Only 9 min to Cedar Point and 3 min to Wake and Waffle. Beautiful landscaping!

Only 1 washcloth and no body wash. You could hear footsteps from upstairs, but we had no problems with any other guests being disrespectfully noisy.
