The facility was perfect for our family! The rooms were comfortable and clean!! The indoor water activities were great with a lot of life guards and staff. The only complaint, guest service wasn't the the friendliest checking in. It seem like they were annoyed with working. Overall, the amenities, water activities, room, etc...was great!!
The guest service employee's wasn't friendly or gracious when it came to checking in. It appeared they were annoyed with working or helping us! Either way, it would be beneficial to have someone friendly, outgoing, or someone who enjoys people at guest service! The food, and other eateries were pricey.Overall everything else was great!!

cast away bay was amazing. the food access the fun zones for the kids was perfect
I was told that booking.com messed up and castaway bay did not receive the request for two rooms that they only recieved the request for one. I was traveling with 8 people and we had to wait to get this fixed it was stressful with antsy kids. I am not sure who did not receive what but it looked like it was on booking.coms end. I will not be using this sit anymore because of this. we did end up getting our rooms but not together as what i asked for through this website. just grateful they had a room available for us.

The buffet breakfast was a paid extra, but well worth the money. There were lots of options including scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, cottage cheese and fruits, cereal, pancakes, waffles, coffee, tea, milk, various juices (orange, apple, and cranberry to name a few), and more! It was all delicious and filling. My group didn't get hungry again until dinner time. The staff were super nice, and checked on us through the meal to take empty plates and make sure we were happy. The breakfast even had a meet and greet with some of the characters from the Castaway Bay crew. We got to meet Gordy the Turtle, all the kids loved getting their pictures taken with him! The park itself was pretty and had lots to do! From various water slides, shallow kiddie areas full of fun things to explore, to a HUGE wave pool!! There was even a really big heated whirlpool/hot tub with jets that had both indoor and outdoor seating options for guests that just wanted to relax (and it had a chair lift on it, so people with disabilities could get in/out to enjoy the water too. a nice touch!!). The staff were all quite easygoing, friendly and kind. I can't tell you how many times I was asked if I needed anything or how often simple questions to one of the staff turned into delightful conversations and shared laughter. In addition to all that, I found the whole resort to be marvelously 100% themed, from an interactive pirate ship in the lobby and fully themed rooms/halls(jungle, beachfront, deep ocean, or sky), to playscapes, palms and painted skys in the waterpark areas to match. Everywhere you look you will see some references to the story of Castaway Bay, and the group of friends that all live there together. Even the little shops around the lobby and dining areas have a fun tropical feeling to them, steel drum music and waterfront views giving you the vibes of really being in a different world. Ask the staff about the full story of Gordy and his friends!
The arcade options in the game center were a bit slim. I didn't find enough that I wanted to play for to tempt me to spend any extra money on gaming.

Room was extremely comfortable and clean. Plenty towels, soap and the fitting room was a good idea. Easy access to the rooms. The guys playing the instruments around! They are great! Santa is the best ever. He made this experience unforgettable for my son, playing with him and taking his time to make it more personal! Thanks!
The only suggestion is bonked bed should have thick sheets and any option to make the primary room private if the guest need it. Any sign indicating the lobby from the elevator area.

Note: you can get early entry to cedar point for check in and check out day. You will need your own c.p. ticket, but just stop by desk and pick up early entry vouchers to enter park at 9 instead of 10. Huge advantage if you're planning to go to cedar point.
They never have all water park attractions open at same time due to staffing. My third time staying here and each time different areas/attractions are closed. Still fun, just be prepared. If there's a slide or area you want to explore don't wait until later or next day as it may not be open.

We had a great time, staff was VERY friendly and helpful. The room was nice sized, beds were comfortable.
During Saturday evening- the busiest time at the waterpark many of the areas all closed at once. The basketball pool, wave pool, the big water slides, and the climbing pool. That was disappointing. Especially since that was the busiest time of our stay and so many people without any where to go. I understand the interuption was less than an hour but for the price we paid at the time of night there should have been no interuptions. Also it felt as though the water in the wave pool was cold as well as the water park room in general being cold while not in the water. Our shower was dirty with hair in it and the heater in our room did notnget warm enough especially after being so cold in the waterpark.

The bunk suite was very comfortable for older teens ages 11 to 17, even our 6 foot tall son. Everything was clean. All staff were very friendly. We didn't eat the breakfast, but it looked like it offered a wide range of options. We stayed on a quiet day, no waits at the water park!
I thought the king size bed felt a little saggy, buy my husband slept fine. The air conditioner was very noisy. But it didn't seem to keep anyone awake.

The main area and attractions are very clean. The staff is exceptional.
The room was clean, but had an overall unpleasant odor. The breakfast was not included with the stay, and was definitely catered more towards kids. Soft serve ice cream is available on site, but it was more icy than cream and over priced. The arcade, mini golf and bowling is also very overpriced, sending us elsewhere to enjoy nearby arcade and bowling.

The property is amazing for children! We took kids anywhere from 11 months to 14 years old and they all had plenty to do! The staff was so kind to our toddler and the characters were very patient with younger children! Definitely would love to go back here. There are so many activities to do here!

The kids loved the water park
The food and drinks were insane!!! it cost me $80 for two bags of chips one margarita one beer, one pretzel, and one taco bowl. Insane!!! Oh and the waters are 5.50 LMAO you can buy a whole case of water for that. I understand making profit but killing people’s financial status to do. It is crazy..
