I liked the extra sitting room. I liked the river view and watching the seals and the shipping boats in the river. I liked that it was closely located to the museums and restaurants. The breakfast had lots of options but the seating space was VERY limited, we ended up going out for breakfast the last morning we were there. The 24 hour pool was nice so the kids could have a late swim and then sleep. Our room had a sticky spill down one of the walls, and on the desk. Also the pull out sofa mattress was grossly stained so we didn’t not end up using it. We also had to ask for bedding for the pull out and still didn’t get a comforter only sheets and a weird throw type blanket.

The room was large and long, backing into the mighty columbia river. You get to hear the sea lions sing, so make use of the complimentary earplugs if you are not a fan (they are at the front desk).

I would have loved a little warning note on our room heater. That note should have said "Please be aware, this heater is as strong as the SUN". Heater is an amazing over performer, but also quiet. Just be prepared to modulate it DOWN in the evenings if you prefer to sleep cool. So not a gripe, just a note!

We loved the size and comfort of the room. The king size bed was very comfortable. We REALLY REALLY loved the clean 24 hour pool and sauna.

We struggled getting the television to work. The TV itself was large and modern but full what I understand there was no TV guide. Also we struggled with getting the remote to work. The front desk was hospitable and offered new batteries and a manual but we could not get the remote to work. Eventually we jiggled the batteries and it started working again. It was either user error, or perhaps a better quality remote control is needed.

I like staying in Astoria, Oregon because it is a good jump off.Point to go to all of the beaches just to the south like a stack rock and seaside oregon. The room was very clean, nice and tidy.As always, there were no issues and it was very pleasant. I also like to go to cape disappoint. Ment., which is only a 1/2 hour as well over in Washington.So this works well for me.

I stayed there on a monday and tuesday, took. A little bit to Check-in.But I think they were just a little busy which was odd for a week day but all was okay.

Hotel was clean enough but our room was stuffy when we first came in. Glad we could open the windows to let fresh air in. We were also appreciative that front hotel staff gave us a little dog treat and doggy bag for our dog.

Got a phone call while we stepped away from the property to the Safeway across the street. Staff said that our dog was howling inside the room and that this against hotel pet policy. I was shocked since our dog doesn't howl- she's a 10 yr old chihuahua/lab mix and I've never head her howl since we adopted her 10 yrs ago. Plus we had given her Trazodone to calm her down for our trip from Portland to Astoria, so she was quite sleepy, still. I immediately sent my husband back to check on our dog and sure enough our dog was laying on the her bed, however the room next to us had dogs that were howling. No big deal, we continued on with our day.

It’s close to everything! Super ideal location. We were able to walk to the goonies house and some breweries nearby. We could also see the goonies house from our hotel window. Loved that the pool and hot tub were 24 hours. We had it all to ourselves! The breakfast was great! A lot of options.

This is out of the control of the property itself, but the sea lions were loud all night. Turning on the AC in the hotel room was able to tune it out though so it didn’t disrupt our sleep but it could possibly if you’re not use to sleeping with a fan/AC on.

Room was pleasant, clean, and comfortable. Beds were especially comfortable. Breakfast included - good selection of foods. Location was easily accessible. Staff, particularly the front desk folks, were welcoming and helpful. Pet-friendly at no extra charge, plentiful parking.

Lobby is basic and functional - not special or grand. Location is good but not scenic - it's waterfront, but views are obscured. The hotel itself is not oriented to the view, Bathroom (tub/shower) was very small but functional.

The hotel is well situated, a 5-minute drive to downtown. Right on the water side, access to walking path and waterfront train. The room is large, with a separate seating area and pull-out sofa. Everything very comfortable, with microwave, coffee maker, and refrigerator, so one can stay for a while easily. The front-desk staff was exceptionally helpful with providing directions to places downtown.

I cannot think of any needed improvements, but the sea lions do bark all night! Ear plugs are available at the front desk.

Location and it was well appointed. It was clean. Beds were comfortable.

There was only one EV charger and someone disconnected it at 10 pm after we went to sleep. It cost $30 to use it but it only received half of the necessary charge. Perhaps a camera and additional chargers would help. We assume someone was irritated that we were using the only one available. We would have used the jacuzzi but the swimming area and jacuzzi was filled with children between 9pm and 10pm. There was quite a bit of road noise and the breakfast was ok.

This room is perfect for our needs as it has a sofa for me to sit on for my medical needs and two very comfortable and clean beds. The dispensers in the bathtub ( shampoo, conditioner & body wash) were an extra bonus. The breakfast choices available were many and the hours for being available were great (6-10am) The front desk staff were supper friendly and helpful.

Nothing that I can think of other than the sea lions always barking...but it didn't really both either of us. I understand there were ear plugs at the desk if needed.
