The location and views far exceeded expectation. You could see whale spouts from our balcony, as most rooms have a balcony view (and those that do not have a fireplace). The hotel was clean and well run, and 1/2 the price of slightly nicer hotels in Depoe Bay and Lincoln City. The room was spacious, clean, and with nice furnishings. Look, this is a budget hotel and the beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. I know there are some people who care about appearance, and they might not like that when fixtures have been moved or replaced, the old holes are puttied over but not painted. Who cares? This place is great.

The person working the front counter was nice. I liked that there was no charge for parking on the facility. The view from our room overlooked the ocean. You could walk to local shops or drive to a look out spot to see the sunset. I can't comment on the items in the lobby as we left prior to the lobby opening up in the morning.

The room had a smell but once we opened up the sliding door we were able to flush out the smell. It wasn't awful, but you could tell there was a smell.

Very comfortable and well furnished room, comfy bed, excellent location. Some issues as stated below which are minor, but I have stayed here before and will again in spite of them. It does seem the service end of things was better when I stayed last year, but I had the same room (201) both times and I absolutely love this room

no freezer in the fridge, microwave not able to handle much atall even for a frozen meal. Fireplace didn't work. two bottles of conditioner instead of one for shampoo in bathroom, staff only semi helpful

Location was excellent. Everything was in walking distance. Room was very spacious and had a gas fireplace.

Would have been great to have a water option to fill up water bottles. They sell single-use plastic bottles of water for $1, but we don't believe in using single-use plastic as bad for the environment. As travelers and hikers, we always need our water and bring our bottles to fill up. Most places have some type of water fill up.

Love the view, and fire places. Always been our stop for our quick 1-2 night stays for over 20 years. Used to be a great value stop, with comfortable beds, no frills motel. Easy walk to main drive. Plenty of easy parking, elevator, friendly staff. Its clean. Ceiling fans were nice, and extra fan in room as well. Be sure to ask for upper floor for best views...

This motel has gone through a lot of changes over the decades, and looks like it's been taken over by WYNDHAM . Gone is the great hot tub room, the breakfast or any beverage offerings in lobby. Although the resident managers?/franchise owners? are very nice and friendly great staff and motel is well kept on the outside; rooms/bathrooms in need of a remodel. Although I think it is clean, it doesn't look clean because of damaged areas, needing new paint, etc. But compared to other motels in the area the price is good. I still would continue to stay here.

We booked the last room available on a summer holiday weekend. We were meant to have a bottom level room but we lucked out and ended up with a room on the top floor. Top floor rooms have a great view of the ocean. The room was much nicer than I expected. The desk person was also very friendly and helpful during check in.

The pillows were not comfortable for me. We did hear some traffic, so couldn't leave our balcony door open when we went to sleep. But there was a fan in the room, so that helped a lot.

Breakfast, though it was stated as “light,” was Twinkies and granola bars. I feel like that could be better supported. It was also hot in the rooms. We opened the doors and got a cross breeze but it was difficult to keep things cool. There was a thermostat but it didn’t seem to work. We used the fans but it was still very warm

We got an amazing view of the ocean... the price was a great deal for the location and it being the beginning of spring break.

There wasn't much we didn't like, everything was great or better for the price. We were happy with our stay. We had 3 little boys with us that really loved being able to step out on the balcony and see the ocean.

Very clean and friendly, kind staff

No air conditioning. Felt like heat was always on even though heat wasn’t on. Had to open both door and balcony to get ocean breeze to flow through and cool room off every day even though outside temperatures were cool. Soft bed was nice, but sitting on edge mattress wasn’t stiff enough, I fell off bed because edge bed too soft. Woke everyone when fell off bed while asleep, got bruises but otherwise fine.

Travelodge at Depoe Bay was a lovely, clean hotel with amazing ocean view. It was a great stopover for a few nights to enjoy a whale watching excursion and explore local nature reserves.

There is quite a bit of traffic from the highway which runs right past. Breakfast wasn't available (coffee and a granola bar) but lots of lovely cafes and shops within walking distance.
