Our room was huge and spacious with a balcony and a huge window, showcasing a spectacular view of the ocean and surrounding coastline. We got in after dark, so we had a moonlit view then, but we woke up to a stunning panorama of blue waves, rocky cliffs, seagulls, and beautiful pink wild flowers lining the edge of our hill. An easy beach access allowed us to take a morning stroll on the beach where we saw starfish, sea pickles, barnacle-crusted rocks, and of course, crashing waves. The location was perfect! The beds were extremely comfortable. A fireplace added a nice touch on a chilly night. The bathroom layout accommodated the use of the shower while at the same time, someone else could use the sink outside of the bathroom to get ready for the day. Such a lovely setting! I wish we could have stayed longer.

The balconies are shared. Which is fine, but I could have used a heads up. Almost walked into our neighbors room.

Though the exterior is a bit rundown, the staff was absolutely amazing from the restaurant, front desk, and the bar. I was nervous seeing the exterior paint when we pulled up but our room was gorgeous, the view was to die for, the food and drinks were amazing, and everyone was great!

As stated, I was nervous about the exterior. Once we started visiting the different location of the facilities the staff shared with us that due to erosion, they were not allowed to update the buildings outside. They recently underwent new ownership and the buildings will be rebuilt further back from the ocean. The view, clean rooms, and excellent staff more than made up for this!

Location,very clean grounds, room and BEAUTIFUL VIEW. I used booking.com to reserve. This was my 4th stay. There was a “pardon our dust” caution, as a complete renovation was beginning. Some sawdust and a bit of debris. As it was listed on booking.com to expect renovations, I don’t consider it as a “dirty” property. I can’t wait to return and experience the “new” facility.

As I chose to stay, knowing renovations had begun,I have no complaint.

Ocean side. Access to beach. Cleanliness of room. Most of the staff were friendly. The person who checked us in was very friendly and informative. Food in the restaurant.

The rails on the balcony - we were on the second floor - prevented a clear view of the ocean. Cruise ships use clear rails which would be a great addition to the balconies. One staff member - do not know her name - was a bit rude and unfriendly. TV had issues - would become stuck in a mode, could not leave cable guide, could not switch channels. Too many notifications for check-in and check-out.

The view was spectacular! We booked a room with 2 beds in the main area, but when we arrived we were given a room with one bed in the main area and one in a separate room, which had no view and no tv. They accommodated us by letting us switch rooms although it still wasn't the "room" that we felt we had booked but it worked out fine. The staff were all very nice and friendly...particularly Allana in the bar!

Besides being given a room that was not like the room we booked, we were supposedly in an "all adult area" but the people above us stomped constantly from the time they arrived until they left...every night until at least 2:00 a.m. The restaurant and bar were nice to have on the premises but they lacked HEAT and ambiance other than the view. It is very unpleasant to eat in a freezing room!

Renovation plans had gotten derailed, so some amenities were unavailable. This was the main reason I chose this resort. The super-friendly staff set me up with an alternative that was even better, at the same price. So nice, I even extended my stay.

Neighbors were a little noisy, coughing on their porch and playing music loudly midday. Had it continued I might have thought to complain, but didn't seem necessary.

The view was beautiful

The fact that I didn’t know the restaurant was out of service and there’s no food around. The rooms weren’t in the best shape. I found an old cheese cracker by the heater so I know it wasn’t cleaned very well. The bathtub didn’t hold water so I wasn’t able to take a bath and relax, like I had hoped to

As always loved the food in the restaurant love the staff. There is very friendly. The only thing that I had an issue with this time just a little bit not much. It didn't make our state horrible but I had paid for late check in I mean late. Check out. So we could sleep in and we had neighbors right next door that had like 5 kids with them that were screaming and banging, and so we weren't able to sleep in at all, but that's alright, we're still gonna come back because we love the place and this is our fourth time being. There in this the first time that anything like that's happened. And we understand that they're on vacation as well and enjoy their time.

The loud screaming and noise level from the people above us. And next to us this was the first time we've ever had an issue like that. It wasn't horribly bad. We were able to handle it, but probably wanna be on the upper level next time

We love this property because it has guest laundry,swimming pool access,and both a full bar and restaurant/family friendly!This property is definitely one of our top most favorite from everywhere we have stayed at! (Which is 100’s of different places/hotels/ properties/house rentals/& also ARB’s! The Surfrider By Clarion Property is in a wonderful location and is both beautiful and comfortable! It has a very friendly and helpful staff,it is pet friendly & they only charge you a 1-$10.00 - as a pet deposit fee ,PER STAY,NOT PER EACH NIGHT YOU STAY AT THEIR PROPERTY/HOTEL AS A GUEST OR FAMILY! This extremely LOW $10.00-Pet Deposit Fee that you pay for your dog/or pet is no doubt exceptional as most all other properties and hotels we’ve stayed at always seem to charge you a $35.00- pet deposit fee PER EACH NIGHT YOU ACTUALLY STAY WITH THEM,WHERE The Surfrider Propertyy doesn’t ever do that at all! Instead your able to save a ton because they are so generous with their pet deposit fee policy where their only charging you just the 1- $10.00- fee for your pet deposit fee for your whole ,complete stay with them ! One last important huge benefit feature you gain by doing your lodging here when you can and or whenever you travel,is that The Surfrider Property/Hotel Site always has good ,reasonable rates also as well! in fact in comparison The Surfrider is a lot cheaper to stay at then almost anywhere else you can stay at right now within the whole central coast area in Oregon! we love it here ! It is absolutely by far our most favorite hotel/property to stay at while traveling /lodging / at they Central Oregon Coast ! Thank you so much Surfrider Inn By Clarion for always accommodating us and our family and for providing excellent services as well as meeting our travel leisure needs and expectations above and beyond every time we have stayed here! (Which is many times!) we will definitely be back often!
