Beautiful place, old but well restored . Location of breakfast fine . All staff great …except one

One woman who always worked breakfast on the Sat and Sunday I was there …the shorter of the 2 women was really disagreeable. Had something unpleasant to say to me multiple times. Last time was worst. I was taking my breakfast plate of food up to my room right above the restaurant and she yelled to me that it was a State law that I couldn’t take food up to my room. I know this is not true. I told her the staff were very nice the night before and delivered my dinner to my room , so obviously it was not against the law! I’m sure she’s worked there a long time and thinks she can say whatever she wants, but someone should really talk to her . Her attitude cast a negative hue on my entire stay . Why be so unpleasant to customers ?

I stayed here when i visited Fonthill Castle and the Mercer Museum. It was very clean, and very cute. We were extremely pleased with the quality of the room and cleanliness for the price. Our AC wasn't working so that was a bummer but being it was March it wasn't deadly. The jacuzzi tub was nice and clean with clear water, the shower was large with great pressure. The bed was firm, my fiance loved it but me not so much. The sheets also could have been softer but that's just me being picky. The bar and restaraunt were very nice, staff was super friendly and made good drinks. Food was delicious and all their desserts are incredible. This location offered a free breakfast buffet which was amazing! The food was great, and of course, more baked desserts which were incredible. All in all, i really liked it here. Highly recommend this place!

We were placed in "The Highland" room. Liked the spacious comfortable queen room. Enjoyed the in room jacuzzi with self cleaning function after use. Strolled around the beautiful grounds. Our room and common areas were tastefully furnished in colonial reproductions well suited to the style of the buildings. Brandi and I the rest of the front desk staff were exceptionally efficient and welcoming.

On weekdays a grab and go breakfast with limited options was provided.

Breakfast on Saturday and Sunday morning was wonderful. The grounds were absolutely beautiful. Our room was very clean and the staff were helpful and kind. We absolutely loved the location. A quick drive to many attractions and then "home" to a beautiful and relaxing inn.

The first night our room was quite cold and we couldn't get the heat up. Next night, perfect.

Beautiful historical inn on a gorgeous property. The room was beautiful and great size. We enjoyed a delicious dinner and enjoyed our breakfast as well.

The special requests that I made were not met. I booked a certain room and was told it was confirmed and was not given that room. Thankfully after calling the main desk they accommodated my request. I also made reservations at the restaurant for my husband’s birthday and requested a romantic table, but unfortunately was seated in the middle of the restaurant.

Historic buildings with beautiful garden and well maintained property. Large spa bathtubs in some Queen rooms. Yummy complimentary buffet breakfast with homemade danishes and eating on a lovely outdoor patio option. Restaurant and bar on site. A lot of convenient parking. Air conditioning worked well. A nice blend of New renovations while maintaining the essence of history. Wonderful lessons to be taught to children by exploring each building.

Most building have no elevators so one or 2 flights up by stairs bc of the 1734 historic buildings.

The property was beautiful and the room was okay - I thought the mattress was not so great.

The listing did not mention that the room was on the third floor and that there was no elevator and the stairs are the narrow stairs typical of old historic homes. I’m a women in my 70’s traveling alone and struggled to get my luggage up to the room.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The surroundings were beautiful. Coffee available 24 hours/day.

The room provided was in the attic over the office. The steps were very steep and the room was poorly lit. The lights flickered. Fortunately staff cheerfully gave us another room which was nice and made the stay pleasant. Was it because we booked through booking.com?

We loved the quaint uniqueness of this property. The staff in the Inn and restaurant were very friendly and welcoming. The grounds and property were lovely, we really enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and we ate outside on the beautiful patio.

The floor in our bathroom could have been cleaner.

Beautiful grounds with historic houses and exceptional staff! We were there for a bridal shower and the staff let us setup early, they were very attentive and friendly to our requests, and the food was delicious!! I stayed in a farmhouse king suite which was very nice but the bed wasn’t great for my neck and spine arthritis… and that was the only issue with my stay. Be prepared to walk short steep steps up into a farmhouse room for a great workout on the glutes! We also reserved a queen suite floor that was beautiful, large, and had a fridge, keureg. and fireplace in the separate sitting room, so I recommend a ground floor room for those that cannot do the tiny steep steps.
