The room/bathroom was clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was very good (but expensive, even with the voucher). I appreciate that there was a refrigerator and microwave in the room. And the location was convenient for us, and the staff was friendly.

We were hot, especially at night, because the in-room air conditioner was too noisy to run at night while we were trying to sleep. There needs to be better lighting in the room, more lamps or something. There were real dark areas that we were never able to get enough light, especially over where I needed to get ready with the wall mirror while my husband was taking a shower in the bathroom (and the exhaust fan didn't work so the bathroom mirror got real foggy). And while we appreciate the $8 per person voucher for breakfast, the prices at the restaurant have really increased so we still spent a lot of money just to eat breakfast.

I picked out The Carriage House for my adult daughter and me to stay this weekend from the pictures I saw and high ratings I read about. TRUE!!! Beautiful property! CLEAN!! Beds were VERY comfortable!!! Cute cafe across the street to grab breakfast!! ( fresh berries and granola-topped yogurt was amazing—- included with room stay)!!!Great feature for check-in—-liked the code to access room—-no plastic “key” needed!!!

There was NOTHING during my stay, that I didn’t like! Everything was perfect!!

The hotel was very charming and we loved having our own old log home, which was a cool surprise! Kitchen was really well equipped. Getting vouchers for the great breakfast place across the street was an amazing bonus! Checking in was a breeze and the front desk was friendly and helpful. We walked to several other restaurants during our stay - great location in this small town and a great base for our Dutch Wonderland weekend.

The house was an old home, so the floors were extremely creaky. We were surprised how many cars and buggies went by at night in this quiet town. Made it a little hard for kids to fall asleep. Our biggest issue was that Booking listed this room as a two bedroom, but the second room was actually open to the stairs (not a true bedroom). We had to give the main bedroom to our kids who go to bed early, so my husband and I had to share a very small bed for two nights. Hes 6’ tall, so that was not comfortable. I would make both beds the same size or offer large pull out couch downstairs so parents have a better option. Overall though, this place worked out great and I was happy to support a small boutique hotel versus a big chain.

Check in and out wax seamless. The breakfast across the street at the Speckled Hen was very good especially the staff. The room was quiet and the home keeping done a great job. Climate control was very comfortable. Location was exactly what we were hoping for and really made for a great short vacation for us.

The property will need some updating soon. The bathroom was clean but starting to show its age. The toilet was a rocker but didn’t leak and worked properly. The shower and fixtures are aged and should be updated.

Every year we come to Lancaster County. We see the sites, buy some fabric, watch a show, and even eat the food. Each year it has always been the same thing. Sitting on the bed and watch tv....always eating out......not feeling like we were part of the family. Not this year!!! We stayed at The Carriage House at Strasburg and we have finally found a home. The studio that we stayed in had a sleeper, queen size bed, table, kitchen, and bath. We could order out and keep the food in our fridge and reheat the food in the stove....yes I said it....stove! Don't believe me....we have stayed at the Holiday, Cla....one and the H....that reminds me of chocolate. This one takes and devours the cake. Great Job Carriage house.....we are adopted to your family.

Super place to stay right in the heart of Strasburg. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable with a mini kitchen area. The lovely coffee shop ‘ The Speckled Hen’ is right opposite and serves delicious breakfasts which is included in your stay and is open for lunch too. Walking distance to the main high street and very close to the Strasburg Rail Road.

The AC unit was incredibly noisy and so we couldn’t sleep with it on unfortunately. The bathrooms could do with a bit of updating but otherwise clean and functional.

The sound of horse-drawn Amish buggies passing by, especially Sunday into the evening. The covered front porch with rocking chairs. The kitchen with everything needed to prepare a meal, including full size refrigerator, stove, microwave, toaster, pots and pans, dishware, silverware. Bottled water at 1/day/guest. Breakfast voucher from The Speckled Hen directly across the street.

Car noise from speeding commuter cars during early weekday morning hours (6 - 7 AM). The speed limit is 25 MPH but not obeyed.

I loved EVERYTHING about The Carriage House. Checking in and out was so easy. We stayed in the two-bedroom suite and I honestly want to build a replica of this little house for myself. It was so clean, very comfortable, and beautifully laid out. The location was perfect and the hotel gave us vouchers for a discount on breakfast at The Speckled Hen across the street. The food there was so, so good! I couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay.

There was nothing I didn’t like. It was perfect.

I like the location and the EASE of check-in. Love the breakfast across the street ( 1000 times better than what you get at the chain hotels for breakfast ). Communication ( if needed ) with staff is excellent—-quick to help if needed. Trees and bushes on property—-waking up to birds “ singing”!

Beds were a little firm for my liking but that is just a preference thing—-nothing to do with them! I am a repeat customer!!!!

It was very nicely decorated. It was clean and comfortable. It was nice to have vouchers for a yummy breakfast at the restaurant across the street. And the neighborhood is so nice, we loved the old houses and that it's in walking distance to things to do like antique stores. It was great to be in quick driving distance to so many things, including sights and sounds and the Strasburgh railroad.

The basement room has the disadvantage of hearing everything above it. We could hear people walking, no matter how late at night or early in the morning, just as much as I'm sure they heard us. We seemed to be on opposite schedules, so that was unpleasant.
