Room was clean of dust, dirt and smells. In room coffee and coffeemaker is a plus. Conveniently located to Choo Choo Barn, Strasburg Rail Road and Museum. Loved the clip clop of the Amish buggies that frequently passed our inn. Complimentary free cold water was great especially during hot days. Best was voucher to Speckled Hen. Excellent service and delicious breakfast choices. Loved the children's 'kitchen" area that kept our wiggly grandchildren happy. Convenient checkin

Although the mini fridge did not work and the air conditioner was very noisy, that did not hamper our stay in any way for this trip. We just happen to bring our own cooler and was happy to have ice machine nearby.

We have been here 3 times before. It is always a pleasure staying here! All the people who own and work here are always friendly, professional and accomodating. The room and linens are always clean and fresh. Room and bathroom are updated nicely decorated, and well lit. Property is well lit and quiet. They give you a voucher for breakfast each day for the Speckled Hen across the street. The food and coffee are delicious! The location is excellent, close to great restaurants, stores, and attractions. There is so much to do and see in Strasburg, and it's relaxing at the same time. We appreciate the cable TV, Free WiFi, microwave, and mini- fridge.

Wish the beds were a little firmer.

Very clean and comfortable. Lots of space inside and out with a well-equipped kitchen. Breakfast was included at small cafe across the street. Nice selection of food and coffee. Close proximity to Sight and Sound as well as other attractions in the area. Staff is great!

The ceilings in the Edward room were very low, so if you are 6 ft or taller you are almost touching the ceilings and have to duck through the doorways upstairs. 1st floor is a little taller, but not much. The street is busy and there is lots of traffic/noise.

We stayed in the Queen studio and it was decorated very nicely. Super clean and the staff was friendly. The partnership with the restaurant across the street for breakfast was a nice touch. Everything we wanted to do (Site & Sound, train rides, Amish restaurants, antiques, and touring Amish farms) was all so close to our location.

Not something I didn’t like, but the Queen studio is downstairs and the ceilings are low. I did see that written in the description so I was aware. My husband is 6’3” and was fine, that is until he stepped into the tub to take a shower. He describe himself as Buddy the Elf trying to shower lol A dresser in that room would also be a nice addition.

Check in was a breeze, and the owners communicated with us via text on the day of arrival with our information and code for entry. They were professional, upbeat, and helpful. The room was immaculate. There were many small touches that made it feel like home. The beds were very comfortable, and the sheets were super soft. The owners were extra helpful... even bringing us a fly swatter late when we needed one! The breakfast across the street was divine. It was a unique touch- the choices for breakfast were great, and the food was delicious. The motel even gave us free water bottles and extra towels when we needed them. We have no complaints - this was one of the best girls' weekends that we have ever had.

The Carriage House at Strasburg had the BEST STAFF. We enjoyed talking with Sharon and Melanie. They are AWESOME! They are very welcoming, pleasant and kind! The room was surprisingly large and SUPER CLEAN. Breakfast was across the street, which was fine and has a good variety of choices at a limited cost. We were able to have additional choices at a very, very reasonable cost.

1. We wish the water pressure in the shower was greater. 2. The walls were too thin. We could hear our neighbors talk and shower. 3. When you flush the toilet the shower water gets cold 4. A/C too noisy

We love the simplicity of The Carriage House! Park right outside the door of your room, rooms are very clean, fridge in room, Ice nearby, perfect location and we loved that the owner Tim took the time to talk to us! We've stayed there twice and this will always be our choice when in the Lancaster area! And the Breakfast at the Speckled Hen across the street - just amazing!!!! Best breakfast ever, and loved eating outside!!!!

It was perfect for our stay! We requested a room away from the road and Tim supplied that! Loved our stay there!!!

The first thing I noticed in the two bedroom was the size. This was an extremely large and beautiful room. Not only was it spacious, but there was a kitchen, dining room and living room in one of the two bedrooms that we booked. I also loved the front and back porch. The area was perfect and the rooms were exceptionally clean. I will always stay at this location whenever visiting Lancaster!!! Also, the breakfast at the restaurant across the street was an added bonus.

There was nothing that I didn’t like about the property.

The room/bathroom was clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was very good (but expensive, even with the voucher). I appreciate that there was a refrigerator and microwave in the room. And the location was convenient for us, and the staff was friendly.

We were hot, especially at night, because the in-room air conditioner was too noisy to run at night while we were trying to sleep. There needs to be better lighting in the room, more lamps or something. There were real dark areas that we were never able to get enough light, especially over where I needed to get ready with the wall mirror while my husband was taking a shower in the bathroom (and the exhaust fan didn't work so the bathroom mirror got real foggy). And while we appreciate the $8 per person voucher for breakfast, the prices at the restaurant have really increased so we still spent a lot of money just to eat breakfast.

The hotel was very charming and we loved having our own old log home, which was a cool surprise! Kitchen was really well equipped. Getting vouchers for the great breakfast place across the street was an amazing bonus! Checking in was a breeze and the front desk was friendly and helpful. We walked to several other restaurants during our stay - great location in this small town and a great base for our Dutch Wonderland weekend.

The house was an old home, so the floors were extremely creaky. We were surprised how many cars and buggies went by at night in this quiet town. Made it a little hard for kids to fall asleep. Our biggest issue was that Booking listed this room as a two bedroom, but the second room was actually open to the stairs (not a true bedroom). We had to give the main bedroom to our kids who go to bed early, so my husband and I had to share a very small bed for two nights. Hes 6’ tall, so that was not comfortable. I would make both beds the same size or offer large pull out couch downstairs so parents have a better option. Overall though, this place worked out great and I was happy to support a small boutique hotel versus a big chain.
