We liked that the golf course was on the property. It was very pretty course. Ice cream was good! We enjoyed the pools and hot tub! We liked that the pool was open late! Beds were comfy and rooms were clean. Air conditioning worked well!

The bed pillows were not comfortable. The concrete surface surrounding the hot tub and indoor pool needed washing! The pool door was locked and room key was not opening the other door to get into the pool area. Pool staff didn’t even come to the door after knocking to let us in the pool area. A hotel guest opened door for us. When asking pool staff why we couldn’t get in they just responded with an uncaring, I DONT KNOW!

check in was good and the front desk person was helpful. She could not understand why I was told that no rooms were available when I called to make reservations. The person that was working at the time told me that she could get me a room at the Amish View Inn down the road. I said I didn't think so. But Bookings. com came up and low and behold they had a room at Bird In Hand. I was told that I couldn't use my VIP card for this trip as I had booked thru a 3rd party. I also didn't have to pay bookings.com , but was told to pay Bird in Hand. Wasn't that convenient that I paid Bird in Hand and couldn't get my VIP card stamped. Apparently there were rooms available. We were only 1 of 5 cars in the parking lot . There weren't that many in the parking lot by the pool building. I think I got ripped off. Room 141

I like how with the price we pay, we get access to the many pools, hot tub, cleanliness, comfort, etc. I look at hotels in the area and think none compare.

I didn’t like how there wasn’t a DVD player in my room when there was one last year. I was told once they break they arent replaced which I find unfortunate. So I installed my own from goodwill which made my experience better. I also don’t like much how breakfast isnt included even for one day without paying. We spend so much money to have food from morning to night.

I want to start my review off with my thoughts and prayers are with the employees and family of the Bird and Hand Inn. Our first night of our stay their Family Dinner hand a 2 alarm fire after the devastating explosion a month ago! With that said and I actually hate even typing this. Our room was less then a football field away from the diner and we had no clue that it had caught fire over night and slept right through it. The Blackout Curtains really do blackout all the distracting light and from your room at least ours 225 you can not hear any noise from the outside! The room was very clean had a mini fridge, Keurig and microwave. We had the updated room! Property Pros: Staff always happy to see you and great you. Give amazing suggestions on where to go or eat. 2 hour farm tour Verna was amazing love her she always takes you somewhere new. ( Have stayed at a sister property). Two indoor pools and a hot tub. Small arcade. Outside when weather is good they have a small petting zoo, basketball court, walking path around a pond, mini golf and fire pit. Just to name what I seen.

Con of room: Beds not soo comfy very springy and bathroom a little small!! Property Cons: pool and hot tub can use some TLC… doors leading into hotel at night. Need to lock in hotel keys need to be used to open doors.

The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean. The hotel was close to all of the places I wanted to visit and the resturant was right next door.

The entrance door to the hallway to my room was not locked. Anyone could walk right in from the outside. that is not very safe. I did not like the sink outside of the bathroom. Very little privacy.

Bird in Hand is a wonderful place to bring a family. The kids loved feeding the animals, swimming in the pool, playing on the playground, mini golf, and of course, the game room. The staff is always so pleasant and professional. It is always extremely clean. I love everything about it, which is what keeps my family and I coming back year after year.

There was not a thing that I didn't like.

The breakfast was good, not great but not poor either. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We love the miniature golf course next door/ice cream.

This has been the second year in a row where the pools looked dirty, the outdoor pool was green and it looks like the pool maintenance is forgotten, and that is one of the reasons we go. Another downside but yet I understand and am glad families can be together is that the restaurant is closed Sunday and Monday. They have an ice cream venue at their bakery but they close before 6 pm. Outside of the pool these are trivial downsides.

We loved everything. The room was very clean and comfortable. The restaurant was clean the employees were extremely friendly and the food was fresh and delicious. I have been staying at the Bird in Hand family inn for over 40 years. My parents took me there as a child many times, I have taken my children and now that they are grown I still love to visit Lancaster and stay at the Bird in Hand family Inn. We caught a show at the Bird in Hand stage. It was wonderful! We can’t wait to visit again.

The only thing I didn’t like was having to leave when our stay was over

Breakfast was very good! Served fast !

Kids were running up and down our hallway after 10 pm. A lot of talking, laughing, and kids running outside our room and it was after 10 pm which I thought would be quiet time.

Traveled with my mom and my 3 kids. We checked in on a Saturday a little after 3. Check in was simple, the workers were very nice and explained how to get to our room very well. We unloaded the car and changed and went straight to the pool. Plenty of places to sit at the pool and towels were available. We enjoyed the pool 3 times in the short time we were there. My younger kids loved the playground and the basketball hoop. Rooms were spacious, temp in room was easy to control. We fed the animals the day we left. Will definitely come back again.

Every thing was great. No complaints.
