Beautiful property! The pools were great and we enjoyed the private beach access. The rooms were spacious and we found the beds to be very comfortable.

The housekeeping service was very assertive. We were told we would have one clean mid-week but then had multiple knocks, calls and texts every day from housekeeping even after we told them we didn’t need any cleaning. The only other negative was we didn’t have any backup supplies in our suite such as toilet paper, dishwashing soap or trash bags. However staff quickly brought some up after we requested those items.

clean. newer. nice unit for 4 adults and a baby. good location. easy parking. nice view. beautiful grounds. was not able to check out the amenities due to time constraints and cold weather.

so-called bar, dining and on property snack and gift store was disappointing. for this type of facility to have that type of snacks, gifts/souvenir, bar combo are was quite underwhelming. plus I was not too keen on the concierge trying to set me up for a vacation club info/sale meeting. I already have a couple of timeshares and I am not interested nor can support another. the concierge left a msg while I was out stating there was a gift at the desk for me. I went down and she was handing me local HHI books with dining info and coupons. I rec’d this the night before I was leaving. I would think this type of info would be handed out when I checked in so I could have used it while there. I rec’d it so late that I could not take advantage of the discounts available.

Location was great as it was next to the beach. Apartment was more spacious than we expected. Very clean and comfortable

Parking in the designated area was a bit limited

The suite was spacious, beautiful, and very clean! The appliances were new; beds and bedding were great. There are grills, games, and two clean pools. The beach is easily accessible and also very clean.

Parking is covered which is good, but the parking spaces are tight. it’s a little difficult to maneuver. The food at the on-site bar and grill was disappointing.

We didn't have hot water in the morning to take showers on Sunday and Monday. We even let the water run for about 10 minutes before getting in shower.

I had booked 3 other hotels on the beach in Hilton Head but cancelled them because the reviews were all so bad. I was getting concerned that we wouldn't find a decent place to stay when my daughter came across Ocean Oak and the reviews were pretty good so we took a chance and we were not disappointed. In fact we were surprisingly shocked at how nice everything was. We are very picky but we loved the place the moment we walked into the room. We stay at so many places where the lighting is horrible in the bathrooms or there is limited counter space.....not here. Also everything was so clean and decorated so nice and the beds were comfortable. Our view was of the courtyard/pool but we were high enough up we could also see the ocean from our balcony - side angle. I couldn't believe we got so lucky after reading so many bad reviews. There was a small one floor parking garage shared with the neighboring Beach Club and a lot of outside parking with lots of shade trees around. The main pool was big and very tropical looking with some shade and plenty of sunning areas. Lots of nice chairs and some tables/umbrellas. The walk to the beach took like 3 minutes once we were downstairs. Coming back from the beach they had showers and a place to scrap sand off your shoes. Plus a couple of hammocks under the palm trees. There was also an area to get drinks and food by the pool with plenty of places to sit and eat in the cool shade. There were bike rentals and beach chair/umbrella rentals available but all from vendors outside of Ocean Oak. We highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again. Ocean Oak was also very close to a lot of eateries and shops. You could walk/bike but the sidewalks were to dark for us at night so we opted to drive everywhere. I also recommend Outside Hilton Head for tours. We did the Daufuskie Boat/golf cart tour & early morning guided kayak tour. Both were excellent.

Liked everything.

Everything was top notch! The condo was luxurious and clean! The views were amazing!!! Being right on the ocean was an added bonus too!! Location was perfect!

Comfortable, spacious, great showers, fantastic outdoor facilities — had everything we needed for our family!

Not much to dislike— except that the floors of our unit were extremely dirty. We have small kids and don’t wear shoes inside, so we saw the evidence on our feet after just a few minutes of being there. BUT, to their credit, as soon as I let the front desk know, they had someone come and clean for us. They blamed the floors for being hard to clean, but I’m quite sure the pre-checkin cleaning process just wasn’t thorough enough.

Location

You have to walk through the parking garage to get to the elevator to go to your room. Not enough parking in the garage where the elevator is located.

The property is beautiful. The staff was beyond our expectations. We were in a tight spot to pick up our daughter and family at airport. They found a solution for us and our luggage.
