After, I requested a move. The staff moved me to a much better room, which was much cleaner, smelled better, had a desk, working refrigerator, and overall better layout. The location is great. It is located in the middle of South Austin, near South Congress street. It also across the street from Whataburger, Sandi's, and within walking distance of Terry Black's barbecue.

I had to ask for a first floor room, even though I requested a first floor room, when I made the reservation, and received confirmation that my request would be honored. I got a rotten first floor room. The first room had a musty smell, the refrigerator failed to cool, and the soap dish was encrusted with scum. The room also lacked a desk. Breakfast was coffee or tea or hot chocolate powder along with an oatmeal packets or a prepackaged muffin. There were only artificial sweeteners, no sugar.

The room was comfortable and clean. The staff were all very nice, and were always pleasant, even when I had issues with my room card multiple times. The location was perfect, just a short bus ride from HEB to stock up on supplies.

The only thing I could even slightly gripe about was that there wasn't a small oven in the kitchen. But that's not really even a complaint, actually...

This hotel is really in a perfect spot... not right downtown, but within easy walking distance of the South Congress Ave bridge and many shops and restaurants on the south side of the river. The room and bathroom were super clean and quiet, king bed very comfortable, staff friendly. Our room included a kitchenette; clean and well laid out. Nice vinyl wood-grain flooring, which we much prefer to carpet which can retain dirt and odor. We would stay here again in a heartbeat, and in fact when we return to Austin this will be a likely hotel for us. Highly recommended.

Helpful and friendly staff! Great location. We had to bring our 17-year-old dog with us on our trip and for his first stay in a hotel he did really well, thanks to the setup here. Tasha at the front desk was so helpful when I needed to wash one of our dog’s blankets.

The kitchen area floors in our room should probably be mopped. We kept getting dirty feet walking barefoot in the room. Very small area on back side of building with not much grass for pets but it worked for a short stay.

The room was clean and the AC worked great! The facility is older, so don't expect fancy accommodations. The location is great and overall was an excellent value. The staff members were very friendly and courteous. We enjoyed our stay.

There aren't ice machines but there were ice trays in the freezer. Otherwise, we had no complaints.

Everything was clean, the staff was accommodating & friendly. For the price it’s got what you need & then some. For those that may not know, it’s a studio suite with a hot plate, full sized fridge, microwave oven, & a desk/ work space. One other thing I appreciate is (at least at the time of this review), they don’t charge a deposit. The price you get on booking.com is the price you pay.

WiFi is free but if you want high speed internet they charge an additional fee. Breakfast is a muffin and some coffee if you want it. That’s it.

Big rooms with good equipment including a kitchen, comfortable bed, good internet, great location near the river with bus stations nearby. We felt very well there.

The breakfast is very limited and for take-away only (mainly sweet snacks), however the fresh coffee is very good. Beverage vendor machine is a bit expensive.

Location to Palmer Event center is great. It's walking distance. A number of coffee shops around the hotel to visit. Hotel does a grab and go breakfast. coffee and granola bar. Room was spacious and clean. Two burner stove in the room. At check in tell the desk you want dishware/ pans. They will give them to you.

They don't accept cash.

Before reading the reviews, I was a little scared to check into the room. I expected the staff to be rude, and the room to be dirty. Nothing like that happened - all staff I talked to was nice and helpful. The room was ready and clean. The hotel's location is excellent - it's very near to Downtown. There's no w\d in the unit, but if you buy a washing powder, you can wash your clothes in the hotel's laundry. It's easy, and you can pay it from your phone - no change needed. I stayed there for 6 nights - and for the price, the room was good.

Room was basic but very clean and reasonably comfortable. The location was superb and close to main attractions of Austin. The park- like setting surrounding the hotel was lovely and quiet. Great free parking for guests. Would recommend this little jewel of a hotel!

Forget about breakfast.
