Breakfast was really good and we were so happy that there was several options every day. It was one of the best hotel breakfasts we have ever had with any of our stays. We will definitely be booking again with Hampton Inn Garden Suites.

Everything was great. no complaints at all. oh wait there is one complaint... when we showered (we were on 9th floor), the pipes in the shower rattled and shook so loudly that it sounded like a jack hammer was going off constantly. you couldn't turn the shower handle to cold or hot without the pipes really shaking. it was a little unnerving but our water pressure and temp was fine... just the ungodly noise.

Breakfast was good compared to other hotels. The Staff & the location are good and the hotel is clean.

If I may say that the rooms should have a small round table and a couple of desk chairs that if you take out food and bring it to your room you have a place to eat for a family of 3 or 4 in a 2 queen bed room. The Parking space is the downfall, too small the parking space lines are so tight and why do we have to pay for parking if we are already a guest in the hotel???

Location of the property was perfect for getting to the DC tourist areas but nice to get back to a quieter area at night. Felt safe in the area. Room was clean, bed was comfortable and the hot breakfast was typical but good. Parking on site was also a plus!

Temperature of the room at night could not be regulated. The thermostat would be set on 65, I think that was as low as it would go, but the room got stuffy at night. This was in March. Wasn’t enough of a problem to say anything but in the summer it may have been a problem.

Great staff, they offered us a free wheelchair. They advised us about the Enterprise car rental next door, which allowed me to drop off my rental and saved me valuable time and money by not dropping it off at the pickup location. The gym, free breakfast, close waking proximity to the metro, and close walking proximity to many restaurants, and free shuttle pickup and drop-off to Reagan International Airport, washers and dryers on the 3rd floor - all added value.

Only 2 washers and 2 dryers for the whole building. They should add another set at a different floor.

The location, for the price, was excellent. The hotel is about a 4-6 minute walk from the blue and from the yellow metro lines. Those 2 lines will take you near most of the important sights around the DC area. There were plenty of restaurants nearby but the quality of the food varied greatly so choose carefully. We found some great eateries and some to avoid. Enterprise rental car next door and a shuttle ride away from Reagon airport. Great location and convenience.

The hotel felt tired as if it needed some remodeling. The breakfast was okay. We went out and bought our own bananas for oatmeal. The breakfast seemed to have way too much sugar and carbs. It was adequate and conveniant. The room bathroom did not have a white noise fan. So, all noises were heard through the door.

The front desk staff were so kind and welcoming! I also loved the location- very close to the metro station and it made it easy to see all the sights. We also loved the neighborhood and enjoyed walking to the restaurants each night.

One of the elevators was broken the whole time. We had a problem with a funky smell coming from the sink, but maintenance immediately came and fixed it when we reported it to the front desk.

Proximity to metro station, DCA and restaurants

We stayed 4 nights and they don't service the room at all. It's a poor policy of the hotel. Breakfast needs to offer more items to those with allergies. My daughter has Celiac disease, and one of the workers went to go next door to the other attached hotel to get some GF bread. We mentioned that we were staying 4 nights, but nothing else was provided to her but a few slices of bread. Some sealed GF muffins or bagels or anything more would have been appreciated.

Location was a short walk to metro. Breakfast was good each morning with lots of choices. Local restaurants and convent store within short walking distances.

The water pressure in shower was not constant. The faucet handle location on the sink being in the far corner vs being placed in the center of the sink was odd and made it difficult to wash hands and restricted the use of the sink.

We got a corner room on the 10th floor (I requested a high room). It was spacious and clean and had a very interesting view. We could see the Pentagon. There were plenty of windows and lots of natural light. I love the shampoo and conditioner dispensers in the shower. There was a nice bright vanity over the sink which helped me get ready. This has been one of my favorite hotel rooms ever.

The parking leaves a lot to be desired. There is a parking garage in the basement and you have to use a room key to get access. This wouldn't be a huge deal except you have to check in first and the small driveway in front of the hotel only seems to hold two cars easily.

The area was okay because of small things being walking distance

Everything was fine it's just some employees were not friendly at all just rude. But some also were nice and helpful. I hate that there was no service done to the room and when requested they still didn't come. We ran out of wash clothes towels trash bags even tissue and had to go get it all ourselves because they had no staff would could do so.
