One of my friends left their phone in the room after checkout, the staff was extremely accommodating and held it for us until we could pick it up. Everyone was friendly and despite this part of DC being a little rough, I never felt unsafe. I will absolutely look at Gateway again next time im in DC

The ceiling lights in my room were broken, and the TV didn't work. These are minor, as the lamp worked fine, and I don't watch TV, but are things that can be fixed. 5 stars

How you can hear EVERYTHING said and done in the rooms next to you. Loud cars honking outside the rooms. Cleaning lady WOKE me up at 8 am when I was sleeping one day. Very sad. But location to walk to and from Echostage is very convinient and I get this hotel a bunch.

The rooms were very nice and cleaned. Very spacious and comfortable.

Check in staff was rude. The young man was having trouble checking us in but when the older gentleman took over he was rude. Check out was fast and easy the woman at the desk was friendly and helpful.

Nice shower. Clean and fresh room. Parking was close. Paid $10/night for parking, however. Near Dinkin and Checkers and Chinese restaurant.

The sign outside said breakfast, but we were told it was an old sign. No breakfast there. Appears there is a pool, but covered an non operational.

The location was very conveinent for our stay and for Uber pick up / drop off. The security guard made us feel safe. Staff was helpful and friendly.

My room was the perfect temperature for the whole stay the room was good enough it was clean and big.

I wished there was an ice machine there. It could have been better maintained for the price though.

It was close to the memorials, etc. & were very easy to check/deal with. Mainly only used the room to sleep here & get ready in the morning before heading out.

I wish the blackout curtains blocked more light

Couldn’t book more nights because they were booked out! Don’t like the $100 being debited and having to wait for it to be refunded.
