Hot water, clean, no bugs in room, front desk clerk was polite, check in went well with reservation, no hassle getting deposit back at checkout. Smooth all around. One faucet had a messed up handle but at check in I was told about it by the clerk who explained how to make it work, and it worked just the way he explained.

One (1) dying bug visible in check-in/lobby area. All else was good.

We booked the jacuzzi room. HIDDEN GEM! Room was huge, clean, PRIVATE . Room is in back of hotel first floor with virtually no other rooms on any side but 1 . Jacuzzi was huge with ambient lighting which created a very romantic atmosphere . Also located on a beach corner , no heavy traffic . Very friendly staff , gentleman had our room setup with towels , soaps, air conditioning set on arrival. Very welcoming and romantic. Who knew a place like this existed off the beaten path and without having to deal with going into city to a larger hotel and crowds. PERFECT ROMANTIC WEEKEND GETAWAY FOR A COUPLE ! Will definitely book again.

We were unaware that breakfast was available. We enjoyed the personal hospitality of the innkeeper. Our room was clean and comfortable. The hot tub was amazing.

The communication between Booking.com and the property.

Mostly quiet. If rooms are available, may get a free upgrade. Male owner very nice. In all, very pleased.

Only had 1 loud noise disturbance, but staff handled the situation quickly. Some rooms don't have adequate plug ups.

The place was peaceful, tidy, and nice owners.. the pics on here are old the rooms are renovated with flat screen tvs

Everything was pretty good

Unfortunately, we didn't know they offered breakfast, and our ride came very early a.m. And we checked out...I loved the snowy view of the Chesapeake River.... I would stay there again, the Mexican restaurant next door was a plus, especially since we weren't driving and didn't know the area.

My only complaint, was it took a long time for room to heat up to my comfort level.

The people are very friendly, it's clean and very quiet.

I feel like this isn’t the best part of town. Random people in the parking lot at all times during the night. Didn’t feel my personal property was safe in the car.

My only 3 recommendations. 1 change the towels they had rips in them or were ready to break. 2 change the sheets it was a "smoking room" me and my wife do not smoke but it was the only available with the jacuzzi, the sheets had holes in them, 3 Chand and replace light bulbs some were not working or not there at all. But overall good stay. You'll be about 40 minutes away from VA Beach. There are also a couple of nice restaurants near by. I did not take any photos but it was great.
