On the water and convenient halfway point in our trip to OBX

There was a prom and another function happening at the same time within the bldg and a lot going on. I wasn’t able to get the buffet breakfast like last year but, they did cook small breakfasts to eat in the bar area. ( I was looking forward to the buffet) there was a function in that room. Very difficult getting in to check in due to prom activity but, we made it. Loud, loud car revving of engine and racing around that evening disturbing the peace as we ate at the brewery on the dock beside the hotel. I am very please at check-in that our lady gave us the 9th floor to be away from all of the noise and chaos. It satisfied why we were staying mid point in our trip.

I would like to highlight Ms LaMonica for her exceptional customer service. My room was nice and welcoming, I appreciate the personalized touch on the television. I attended for the National Black Midwives Conference. Lastly, Joy. Joy in catering was amazing, willing to help, offer alternatives or solutions, and she directed her team efficiently. The free breakfast team was great, too. Second day they already have my preference ready and waiting, that's good service.

No issues minus my sink wouldn't drain at first which was annoying.

Great room, decorated with taste, view on the marina, fridge, coffee machine, free garage. Lots of restaurants at walking distance

Friendly and helpful staff. Great bar and restaurant with yummy food choices. Beautiful decor and comfy bedding.

I only had one mishap that was not caused by the property per se. Apparently there was a break in communications between Booking.com and The Landing regarding one of my reservations. It was resolved. I also think it is strange that there are no microwaves in each floor of the property yet there are refrigerators in the rooms. I would’ve liked a microwave in my room.

The great view, the waterfront location, the bar areas and bar staff.

There were several features in the room that showed poor craftsmanship or were not repaired in an optimal manner - mainly the bathroom access ceiling panel to the air conditioning. The lobby furniture had water stains. The chairs were not properly cleaned

Comfortable room/bed; great central downtown location- there was some great activities/things to do… ie Miss Hampton 2hr day cruise; close to Hampton University & Private Pool Party on Friday & Saturday excellent breakfast buffet; friendly staff ; Beautiful Lobby w/ great music!

Elevators were kind of scary.

I loved the friendly, helpful staff and especially the supervisor (Monica?). She was amazing and helpful—just did all she could to make my stay pleasant. I liked the restaurant and huge tv!

I hate the garage area. It wasn’t clean or safe looking. I felt unsafe every time I got out to come in hotel-there aren’t any cameras. It needs to be more open/visible to the hotel staff. I liked the room decor before but new decor was ok. Should be microwave available if not in rooms.

Location was great and was in walking distance of several restaurants and other places in the area. Two of the staff: LaMonica at the front desk and Tasha in the restaurant went above and beyond their way to make sure that my stay was comfortable at the hotel. Only issue, the hotel was a bit pricey for the 4 day stay.

Resort fee and daily city tax added on to the cost of the room brought up the daily rate for the room.

The first meeting of the reception area, staff was excellent ! She went above and beyond to make sure we were pleased in everything. Thanks to her, this is our new best place to stay in VA.. The world needs more people like her. I believe her name was La-Monica. She get 10 out of 10 stars on our rating scale. She crushed it ! Thanks you Hilton for making our stay the best.

There were no dislikes.

the staff was very nice. the cleaning ladies and front desk people were great. Shout out to the Black gentleman that helped with the elevators!! thank u!! overall,very relaxing and great view!!

No desert on the restaurant menu! lol
