Very comfy bed! Good toiletries were provided and the A/C worked great! Room was quiet overall which was a pleasant surprise as we were directly across from the elevator. The gallery was an awesome addition to our experience. Bar staff was very attentive and the vibe was positive and pleasing.

The bathroom was small but that might be because we're a slightly fluffy couple (mid -40's with some extra pounds that need to find a new home). Didn't get too much privacy in the bathroom due to the structure of the room/bathroom . We didn't mind TOO much but we're going on 9 years together. If you are a new couple then keep the bathroom in mind. It's always a challenge when you have to poop in a small space that's shared with someone.

The design was really great, a blend of new and old. The room was big! And the bed, shower etc were all great.

The restaurant definitely dropped the ball, we received the kids meals and 2 people had starters, the main course was delivered over an hour later and only after i had tracked our server down and complained. No manager came to apologize. At that point, i was definitely expecting some sort of service recovery. We literally had 3 tables in our group, our table was seated first and the other tables were fed a gone before we got our food.

Amazing glass collection on display behind the lobby. The glass artists were world class. There was exceptional 2D artwork throughout the hotel as well. Our room was spacious and beautifully appointed. The restaurant was one of the best I’ve experienced in a hotel, with a menu that offers variety and depth. The bar offerings were creative and delicious. Great service from the front desk to the bar and restaurant. The spaces within the hotel were genius from architectural details to creature comforts.

I always enjoy coming to this hotel. It is continously a nice hotel and very centrally located to wehre it easy to get around the downtown area. Especially The NORVA. The museum as well always need to look at that is attached to the hotel. The hotel rooms are alway amazing and the Bar/Resteraunt is always a bloody treat.

Two things really the sleeping portion like bed and pillows are either way to too hard or not enough filling inside so there nothing to keep your neck up. Also everytime I come in there I feel the host is judging me a little like I don't belong. I will admit I dress like I am a bit of rough neck because I am one. But I can afford rooms in the hotel wtih no issues and full on dinners there as well. So Maybe the hosts just need to be more generally welcoming.

The hotel was very beautiful and modern. It was clean. It was close to everything. Wonderful shower!

My dad’s room didn’t have a chair (other than the bench). They gave him an office chair when he asked about it. There were some issues with our rooms each day. With my dad’s room it was the thermostat. My toilet started running. My room was across the alley from a parking garage so I had to keep my shades down.

The valet service was exceptional. They were more than happy to plug-in and charge my Tesla because they actually had a Tesla charger. There were a few glitches with housecleaning that were taken care of by the head housekeeper kendra. on our last night. The on-site restaurant is very small but adequate and the food is quite good especially the breakfast

Needed better training for some of the housekeeping staff; uneven abilities among the front desk personnel

Valet->Curtis was extremely accomodating & helpful getting us checked in. The room was stunning. It was so nice to just walk a half block down for a yummy burger & beer at Jack Brown's. We loved the ability to relax & watch You Tube before bed. The bathroom was the 1st in 7 days of travel to have a handheld shower wand, which we really like. The motion sensor light under the glass sink was an especially nice touch.

The toilet was very wobbly and felt unsafe. We think it was too loose at the bottom where it attaches to the floor. The handheld shower wand sadly didn't spray well, the water pressure seemed low on all faucets.

The facilities were great. Staff very kind and courteous. The location was in the middle of everything you need while visiting Norfolk, even walking distance. Room very spacious. Showers were big and water pressure was great. I liked that the complimentary water was available on each floor. Every place should do that.

There was smell of smoke on our floor. The bed post blocked the TV view. We didn't have a real place to eat inside the room. There's seating but no table or movable chair. Should have multiple valet. Our guy was running every time we came back.

The location was perfect for my concert at The Norva. I felt well taken care of and looked after during my stay. Every employee that I came in contact with were friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful and functional too. The fitness room was wonderful and very clean. Breakfast was delicious! I'm looking for a reason to come back to NOrfolk again so I can stay at The Glass Light!

The light on the coffee maker flashed on and off all night. I should have unplugged it.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Rooms were clean and comfortable with a trendy uptown vibe. The location was fantastic for walking to restaurants, etc

My only gripe was the parking garage situation and the upcharge from the hotel. I realize parking is limited, but the garage is not connected to or affiliated with the hotel and walking there with luggage wasnt ideal. That said, had we planned better and brought more cash, we would have taken advantage of the valet service. Since we did not come and go during our stay, the parking upcharge was kinda ridiculous... only a few dollars, but we work hard for all of them.
