I always stay here when I am in the Norfolk area. From previous experiences, this hotel has always been friendly, clean and in a great location. The room was spacious and comfortable and breakfast was included which is a plus. The food was fresh and the young lady in charge of the meal was so friendly and willing to help in any way to make sure we enjoyed our meal. Check-in was friendly and the front desk staff also spoke when we walked by and checked to see if we were doing well. Thank you Holiday Inn Express Norfolk for a great time both past and present!

Not too much to say I didn't like. I was very satisfied and well taken care of.

I was extremely satisfied with customer service. The staff made sure that our needs were met and our questions were answered. They were polite and attentive for the most part.

The bed was uncomfortable it sagged in the middle. I didn't like the fact that there were no extra towels in the room for swimming. When I asked the housekeeper on the floor for extra towels for swimming I was told she had no extras and I had to wait. I wanted to go swimming at that moment because I had plans after. The pool wasn't what I expected nor the room. It did not fit what was depicted in the pictures on the website. However that's how the hospitality industry is.

Honestly everything about the stay was wonderful. It snowed this week and it was super nice to have access to the indoor pool especially with the cold weather! They also had a Truck plow their property shortly after the snow started sticking which was very helpful when I had an early departure! I can’t express how wonderful and hospitable Matlyn was the 4 nights I stayed! She deserves a raise! 5 stars and 10 out of 10 especially for her!

We had a Great relaxing stay (wish we had time for the pool), everyone was very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was very good, with a nice seating area to talk and meet with new people. The room was layout was perfect with a nice sized bathroom.

The women running everything for our breakfast could have used some back up when privileged guests make a mess and expect someone to clean around them. She handled it well but it looked a little stressful for her.

Spacious room, comfy beds, extremely clean throughout the whole building. The staff was so kind and welcoming and not just at check in. Throughout my stay I observed the staff deliver smiles and great vibes. The breakfast was also great and they kept everything well stocked and neat. I wish we would have had time to use the pool while we were there but ran out of time.

There isn’t a single thing I didn’t like.

There were a lot of delicious options for breakfast. Something for the whole family. I loved the pancake making machine!

My only hiccup the entire time we were there is their 24/7 coffee / tea service was not fresh and available at 10pm at night. The coffee was cold; The hot water for tea was empty. I just took a tea bag, and microwaved some water back at the room to have a cup of tea before bed.

This is a five -star hotel because the STAFF make it that way. It is immaculate, quiet, in a perfect location near stores, the zoo, the interstate! I would especially like to give 5 stars to the check-in staff. Such classy, professional, people! And especially Mike who signed me up for IHG. But the front desk crew is top notch.

I’d really have to hunt to find anything wrong. The staff respond immediately to any request or questions

Breakfast variety could been a little better. The drinks on the machine was all out besides orange juice and water. First morning for breakfast we couldn’t get any pancakes bc the guy that was trying to change out the bag i guess he didn’t know what he was doing

The breakfast was the best we've had at a hotel or motel And our room was excellent! It was very spacious and clean. And very comfortable.

The only thing I didn't like was that you couldn't come in the side door during any time, only exit. I'm handicapped and that's where the handicapped parking is. It would've been easier for me to go on through the side.

Friendly staff, easy check in/check out, lots of choices for breakfast, we liked the lay out of the room, size of fitness center was decent with several choices of equipment (not just one treadmill and one elliptical), great location

Not a deal breaker, but no half & half creamer at breakfast, just flavored creamers
