The asthetics of the hotel are excellent. The bar and dining rooms are beautiful and the staff are great. Our breakfast was fantastic.

The view from our room was outstanding, however there were a couple problems with the room. The toilet when flushed kept on running. A maintenance person came and resolved the problem promptly. Also, the TV didn't work, meaning it cut on but no program/channel came on when selected. A maintenance person again came promptly and tried everything to fix the problem to no avail. He contacted the outside network/cable company and even they could not resolve the problem after rebooting the system.

I loved the view, looking out on the river was lovely. Hotel stay overnight was great. Rooms really clean. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Will stay again when in the area. Great ample garage parking. For movie buffs great selection to choose from. Rooms are exceptionally clean!! KUDOS to Housekeeping❤️

The entire Lobby & Entrance under Rehab..,total turn off initially. I actually considered going to another hotel. Once I was checked in saw how clean ny room was I decided to stay. Glad I did. I do feel however, guest should have been given a heads up & what to expect @ check in.

Staff was professional and quick at all hours of the day/night. Devin did an excellent job keeping check in quick and painless after an excruciating drive. Also staff was helpful, quick and easily accessible for a toilet clogging at 3 am. Everyone seemed to be in a good mood and the location is beautiful. The room was very nice and had a great view overlooking the water as promised.

The water pressure in the shower seemed to be partially tied to the temperature so a cooler shower would have less pressure than a hotter one. Also, I wish the hotel was more upfront about breakfast requiring meal vouchers, it was a bit of a shock and we hadn’t seen anything about it until we had finished our breakfast

The live entertainment at the bar was AMAZING! Good Vybez was a great group. The food at the bar was amazing! Best Cesaer salad and fish and chips by far. We made a good choice to stop and eat dinner at the hotel. We loved the size of the room and the water view was outstanding. I especially love the color scheme of the light blue and cream. It was a beautifully calm space. Will definitely return.

The breakfast was not as good as I expected it to be. The eggs were undercooked and the variety was not the best. Biscuits would have definitely been a good addition. And we didn't know there was an omelette station until after we were done. I think that it was just too spread out and not marked in a way to know what was available. Also, we didn't really get much help when we needed to make change for the fare for the ferry. If cash is not availble at the Front Desk, it would have helped to know where we could have gotten some change.

I like the room view It doesn't matter how good the place was is what I went through with the booking and being overcharged and taking many days to straighten it up killed the whole trip so the survey is nothing

I didn't like getting charged double for the one night stay and it took about seven days and about 20 phone calls to get it straightened out between booking and the hotel. It really took a lot out my day I will never use booking again 😠

Overall the visit was beyond my expectations.We traveled with our service dog and all the staff was super helpful from our arrival until we left the premesis.

When we made the reservatiions I called and spoke to a lady at the front desk she was very rude. I was asking about my service dog and she was snappy and said paperwork or I would pay a fee. Upon arrival at 330 in the morning the staff that checked us in was amazing. Her customer service skills and her delightfulness and caring about my concerns for my pet was superb. I thanked her over and over again.

The rooms were nice and clean. The views were perfect. The breakfast buffet was delicious.

Even though I reserved and paid for the room a week before. They waited until I got to the hotel to tell me that I had to pay $58 just in case there were going to be any damages but it would be refunded to me within 7 to 10 business days. They did refund me the money within 5 days but what if I wouldn't have had that $58 on my card I wouldn't have had anywhere to stay that night. Other than that my experience was wonderful. The hotel was beautiful and it was clean I will definitely be returning for another stay.

II didn't like the fact, I got a email to be there by 4pm and didn't get my room to around 5:30 or 5:45 pm , I didn't like the fact that rooms wasn't ready, checkout it's at 11am so don't understand why my 2 rooms wasn't ready on time , then booking online should've stated you have to pay $50 extra when you arrive

The view from my room was the best part of my stay and the staff was excellent. Always a good vibe of happiness every day from the front door to the front desk very welcoming. Never made it to the pool area but the pictures were another reason why I chose the Renaissance lakefront hotel. So many places to walk to a tour and food of all cuisines. And to top it all off this great hotel put me right at my son's shipyard. Now how great is that. Thanks Renaissance lakefront hotel staff and management team job very well done until my next visit God bless

That there was so much to do I never make it to the hotel pool lol but I don't regret a thing I shall return to the Renaissance lakefront hotel again matter of fact every time I go to Portsmouth Virginia this is where I must stay.

The location was perfect for the Norfolk Jazz Festival. The courtyard and fire pits were very relaxing and a great place for meet and greet. Excellent breakfast buffet with made to order omelets was . The staff were awesome; everyone excelled in offering great customer service.

The location of the elevator was afar however it was very fast and always there.
