My cousin and I decided on this location as a 1/2 way point to meet. I wasn’t expecting much, however we were blown away by the service, the room and our food! We paid extra for “breakfast included” thinking it would be buffet. What a delight that we were able to select our breakfast from a made to order menu! Food was delicious and plentiful and the service was exceptional during our stay. We also had dinner there one night and enjoyed the happy hour menu another. Would definitely go back & highly recommend

The location was great, it is quiet , away from noisy town or people. Golf course view was nice with mountains behind in the view. Staff was friendly and helpful. Dining area very nice , well done with updates. Rooms are very large and husband liked that there was a desk in the room where he could work on laptop when needed.

Initially , the room we were put into was fine, but the view was of the air conditioner units, and when I booked out room, I was not aware that would be an issue. I called downstairs and the guest services quickly changed our room , although we were not able to get the King bed, we did get a much better view of the golf course. So we took two queens for a better view and one floor up. The only other issue was the side doors were not locking when we came in at night, you are only supposed to be able to get in with your room card, so I again called guest services and she told me she would have maintenance take a look and the next day it was fixed. Breakfast was okay, should have been free, its rare hotels don't just add this to your room charge,

Overall the hotel was what you would expect for Holiday Inn. All the staff was nice and getting to the hotel was easy enough. The location has a nice view with the golf course but there is nothing else around it. To get to “town” it is a short ten minute drive. We had an issue with the room being clean but the staff was receptive and promised to have the issues addressed.

Although the overall expectation for a Holiday Inn was met, it still fell short on being clean. We arrived at 3am and did not want to go through the whole process of getting a new room. Food was left in the fridge, a Kleenex was left on the side of the tub, the bathroom floor under the sink was dirty, and there was food left on the floor next to the bed. Although this fell short on the expectations, it was still an overall nice hotel!

The I had difficulty checking in because the credit card reader’s rap function did not work. In keeping with modern security recommendations I have my credit cards loading on my phone. Therefore I don’t need to carry my credit cards and do not know their numbers. Even 7 Eleven stores all have functional tap card readers. I certainly expect that a new IHG would be up-to-date. The front desk staff I needed to understand that it is new technology I need to be understanding. It’s not new.

What I liked was the room was spotless, and so was the bathroom. Which meant a lot to us. I took my 4 year old granddaughter with us and having a clean bathroom to bath her in meant a lot.

I felt the breakfast should have been until 10:00 not 9:00 because we are on vacation and not everyone wants to get up early to run down stairs to eat that early. And if you went like 8:45 mostly everything was gone. Also the indoor pool that was advertised was Ice COLD. The heater had broke but they did get the parts in and get it fixed but was not going to put it on until the end of the month. That was a big disappointment to my granddaughter who loves to go swimming.

The room was clean, the staff was helpful and courteous. The beds were comfortable.

My only complaint was the air conditioner in our room was extremely loud and didn't cool the room. We didn't complain because we weren't going to be spending very much time in the room. I am a light sleeper and I was constantly being woken up as the unit cut on off throughout the night. It was horrible but overall the room was clean and comfortable.

It was clean, quiet, and the service was lovely.

We reserved a pet friendly room because we were traveling with our cats. The bed design meant that the cats could sneak in and hide in the bedspring, making it difficult to monitor and retrieve them.

Buffet breakfast on Monday & Tuesday.

Beds & pillows too soft. Soap and shampoo are inconveniently placed and smell bad.

Location is wonderful- easy to get to off the highway. Staunton is wonderful “city”- make sure to eat at the Mill Street Grill.

Highway noise- ask for a room facing the golf course!

The breakfast was really well done, the waitress came out and greeted us got our order and returned with our food promptly, she was friendly and very gracious. The food was good, we checked in very late and we were there for only one night. Overall a great stay and
