The location was great. Fabulous little Mexican restaurants/carryout across the way as well a Chinese carryout. Easy walk to the university or downtown for shopping. Our room was large, mostly updated with a great king mattress. Very clean. Good warm hue lighting. The furniture was vintage but solid and the carpet was new. The sink area was nicely updated. Overall, we were very pleased with the stay.

Downsides: the toilet & tub area were very, very small and not updated. The toilet was so low and small, we nicknamed it the "squatty potty". The bathroom walls should have been wiped down better. The TV was tiny and there was no mini frig. Also, the elevator and hallway to the rooms were a little beat up. Not biggies for us but it keeps the score from being perfect

It was very clean and up to date. Staff was very nice. It was close to a lot of restaurants. We enjoyed our stay very much!

The people in the room next to us was very loud laughing and talking and going in and out of their room late both nights we were there. We were trying to sleep but didn’t get much sleep for the noise.

Large clean room with retro HoJo vibe and central location. Big parking lot. Cotton sheets and towels. Quiet air/heat.

Hallways are dirty and in need of painting (once in room it's nice.) Ice machine broken on my floor. Some shifty looking people hanging around in the parking lot got into a loud fight - not really the fault of the hotel, but definitely made me think twice about leaving anything in my car.

I love the location. Very close to festival I was attending. And I love Chicano Boy across the parking lot

The facilities do need a good bit of updating. Along with that you could tell from dirt & hair left behind that dusting is not a great concern. The room at least on the second floor needs the carpet redone & apparently that floors ice maker has been out of commission for 3 or 4 years..... People had dates a notice someone put on it.

Hair on the bed linens, and there wasn't much to choose from for breakfast. Location is not right off the highway but is close to local places.

The breakfast does need more warm or hot food. The coffee is very good. The location makes walking down town easy. The rooms are clean and the beds comfortable. We stay there every time we come to Staunton.

As mentioned above, some warm or hot food for breakfast would be appreciated. Other than that I consider this hotel to a great value for the rates charged.

The room was great for a night in town. Short walk to the main drag and walkable distance from the American Shakespeare Center and all the nice places. Comfortable beds.

Not all rooms have mini fridge nor microwave oven so make sure your room has those if your booking included that. Ask at the desk before getting to your room to find out is not what you paid for.

Walking distance to the festival is great. Staff is always very nice

The air conditioning unit was a little difficult to regulate. The room would tend to get very hot or very cold which was a bit of a problem with kids.

Early check-in request was honored at 1430 hours. Room was on second floor a considerable distance from the elevator. Room was clean and A/C was not too noisy. Location in center of town is convenient for walking downtown.

This location has no lobby and elevator is very small.

Value meets the expectations. Convenient to walk to town for events which was the main reason for the stay. It works out well!
