The breakfast looked okay, but since I am restricted in my dietary needs I couldn't tell you about the eggs or the sausage. What I will say is that the food appeared to be hot, fresh, and kept in an enclosed receptacle to keep it warm. There was plenty of fruit, yogurt, coffee, juice, toast to be had and waffles could be made fresh. The warm cookies at night was a plus. I arrived just in time to get them.

I don't like the soap. If there was one thing I didn't like it would be the soap 😒 I prefer liquid soap like the shampoo. I don't mind it fir washing your hands but I prefer liquid body wash.

When I arrived had been on the road for 10 hours and was hungry and exhausted. Front clerk was so kind and gave me a list of local eateries, I chose one after I checked in and was happy with my choice. On my return, I was REALLY exhausted now and just wanted to watch TV and relax for the night. Well I could not figure out how to watch the TV, and the desk phone was not working so I couldn't call the front desk. The front clerk who's name I cannot remember was just the kindest guy and I am sure he regretted working that night. He literally walked me to my room and assisted me with the TV lol...I am smarter than that, not sure why I couldn't figure it out but that's another story. This room was SO comfortable, the linens were perfect, it was clean, and had everything I needed for a fantastic price and right near the highway. Make it a stop - you won't regret it! Many thanks again to that front desk guy - he deserves a raise!

The way the TV operates could be a little more user friendly lol, or leave directions for beginners like myself haha!

Everything except the shower was spacious, clean, and well maintained. The bed and pillows were great. The staff is attentive and friendly. Breakfast is very nice. Overall, it was a very positive stay and somewhere we will stay again and recommend.

The shower in the accessible room has a tub, not a walk-in with no seat or hand-held shower. There are ample rails, but the high sided tub will pose a problem for anyone who is mobility challenged. A stand-alone seat and adding a handheld shower to the existing may be reasonable solutions that will assist many. It did not spoil our wonderful experience.

This is a great hotel for the price ($80). The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, and the shower warm and powerful. The in-room amenities were nicer than expected (minifridge, microwave, safe, iron, reading chair and foot stool as well as a desk chair). It's close to the highway but tucked away enough to be quiet. The man at the front desk was very quick and efficient in getting us checked in.

Reviewers are right that the lighting in the bathroom is surprisingly dim. And the provided toiletries are skimpy (but we always travel with our own).

Great value here. Friendly staff and was in my room in a jiffy. Room was clean and comfortable. Waffles, eggs and sausage topped a good breakfast. Shower pressure was excellent which is something I value a lot. A tiny plus for me was the dimmer switch for the light above the bed. Pool looked nice for summer fun. Tons of satellite TV channels.

Furniture was dated but not terribly. Room had no TV guide. Took me awhile to find ESPN lol. Breakfast area may be too small on busy mornings. But here I'm projecting. Really not a lot to not like for the value.

The location is perfect! Very close to the highway and any store you may need, yet also tucked away so you don't realize that you're in an almost downtown location. The beds are incredibly comfortable, and the amenities are spot on! Staff is incredibly kind and helpful. We have stayed there twice now and I would DEFINITELY go back!

I honestly have no major gripes! The ice machine had a malfunction while we were there, but who cares? There's a refrigerator in every room AND a small convenience center downstairs. I saw a review where someone complained about the caulking job in the bathroom -- that makes me laugh! And also, that just goes to show you how difficult it is to complain about this hotel!

Very clean and neat. I requested at least 4 towels and wash clothes to be put in the room and it was done. The night manager had baked fresh cookies that were still warm and offered them to us when we checked in. I have stayed at several of the hotels in Staunton, high end to medium end. This hotel was exceptional compared to the other places we have stayed. Price was amazing! Good job Clarion and all your employees for a wonderful place to stay!

Bathrooms were a little small but were very neat and clean.

Breakfast was good but you could vary the menu. There was scrambled eggs ad sausage patties everyday I was there. Bacon would have been a nice variation. This was one of the most quiet hotels I have ever stayed at. The mountain view complete with the Western State Insane Asylum was great.

The chairs in the room were dangerous. If you leaned back the chair would tip over. I learned that the hard way. The shower had no safety bars and that is not good for us old people.

This hotel is a hidden gem. It is small and well maintained. Quiet and peaceful but near several stores and only an 8 minute drive from downtown Staunton. We had a great view of mountains from our room. Solid breakfast, nice little pool and fitness area. Helpful staff. Could not have asked for more for the price.

LIghting in bathroom is HORRIBLE so is lighting near full length mirror. !! Also whatever that ANNOYING SO CALLED SECURITY LIGHT IN THE BATHROOM IS THE MOST IDIOTIC LIGHT I HAVE EVER SEEN !!! FLASHING BRIGHT LIKE FLORESCENT GREEN ALL NIGHT LONG TRIED TO TAKE A BATH WITH JUST LIGHT FROM PHONE OR BATTERY OPERATED CANDLE LIGHTS AND TO RELAX AND YOU CANT !!! BECAUSE THAT LIGHT JUST FLASHES ALL THE TIME YOUR IN THERE !!! AND THEN THE FAN NEVER STOPS RUNNING EITHER IN BATHROOM !! HAD TO SHUT THE DOOR TO THE BATHROOM JUST SO COULDNT SEE LIGHT FLASHING !!!! ALSO JUST SO YOU KNOW PEOPLE THAT SUFFER WITH MIGRAINES A FLASHING LIGHT / STROBE CAN CAUSE PEOPLE TO GET A MIGRAINE !!
