Breakfast was your typical hotel breakfast (cereal, pastries, waffles, eggs, sausage) and it was good. Breakfast hours are convenient especially on the weekend (til 11) so we got to sleep in. Plenty of room to sit and eat. Staff in the breakfast area were very kind. Beds were comfy. Everything was clean. Bathroom had plenty of towels. Shout out to the front desk staff that brewed hot water for me late at night so I could have tea! They have different kinds of tea bags in addition to honey and sugar in the eating area.

There is construction going on across the street on the east side of the hotel. Thankfully we stayed over a weekend so they weren’t working. But heads up if you’re staying during the week and have a room on that side! The parking garage is so narrow! Driving a big SUV makes it for a tight squeeze.

Very nice property - quite impressed by how large, clean and welcoming it was. Our room was large, clean and comfortable. l liked that the same elevators could be used for the parking garage and the rooms. Used the hot tub which was a great amenity though it was VERY hot. Breakfast was average for a free hotel breakfast, but adequate for us.

Beds were a little hard and air a bit damp in the room. We also couldn't fully block out the sun with the blinds, which we didn't like, but otherwise a very nice property.

The location is great for walkability. The lobby has free coffee and water 24/7, there is a free breakfast buffet daily, the rooms are clean and have great ammenities -- like a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, etc.

The walls are super thin so noise was an issue. Woken up multiple times from hearing the others rooms conversations and other things. Also there curtains are not blackout so you get the sunlight right away in the morning.

Great location if looking for U of W Madison stuff, cool vibes, walking distance to many attractions, shops, restaurants. Staff was great. Had the pool and hot tub to ourselves which is always a plus. Love the restaurant that was attached! Great staff and great food!

Breakfast has tons of options. This was by far the best hotel breakfast we have ever had included with the room rate. Location is central to both campus and the state capitol. Plenty to do in the area. Some nice restaurant options in walking distance. Employees were all terrific and we made sure to make a note to the manager. Suly was notably good at her job and funny too!

Parking included would have been the icing on the cake. It was not included and cost $20 a night. The location does not provide much by way of available street parking.

Limited in-house meal options. Guess that’s because of Bassett street brunch club being attached to the hotel, so it’s not an issue typically. I just found myself in an atypical situation looking for dinner at midnight after a long concert. But that’s where the location came in clutch

Clean and secure hotel, good shower and comfortable bed. Friendly reception and free coffee and tea at reception. Good location. Free fruit in lounges was a nice touch.

Parking is an extra $20 and there are extra unexpected charges like city tax. Breakfast was a shambles, nothing left to eat at 930am, even when it was eventually replenished the choice was very disappointing so get there early and be prepared for a limited choice. Rooms were definitely not sound proofed and there were a lot of people partying the night we stayed. People come out into reception from the pool area dripping in their swim shorts and bikinis. Lots of younger groups of people staying, if you what peace and quiet this might not be the hotel for you.

Very comfortable and huge beds. Clean bathroom. Complimentary locker service for luggage after check out. Excellent location.

Noisy fridge in the room. Was asked by an automated email if I wanted an upgrade against payment for a fridge and microwave-which I declined-only to find out the room already had them! What was the point of the offer then? Breakfast ok but too many unhealthy-sugar loaded-options.

A beautiful hotel in downtown Madison within walking distance of the capitol and the University of Wisconsin buildings. The room was large and modern and clean. The beds were great. The largest widescreen TV I've ever seen in a hotel room and it came on automatically displaying my name when I first walked into the room!

For what it is, this Hampton Inn was great. Everyone was friendly, the room was clean, and we enjoyed the pool and hot tub on a really cold weekend, which was a bonus. They have a hot chocolate bar and the complementary breakfast was decent. All in, I would recommend staying here - solid experience and very reasonable price.
