This was a lovely hotel, very close to the Capitol and the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus. The staff was lovely, the rooms were spacious. Little things like the curtains keeping the rooms dark in the morning and the TV being in a location you can see from both beds and the bathroom having a little seating area to do hair and makeup - it was wonderful. The pool and game room looked fun. Plenty of vending machines.

I do like when hotels have complimentary robes for use and ideally, slippers as well.

The staff was very nice, the location in proximity to downtown and the capital was very convenient. The bed was comfortable, but the pillows were terrible.

The room was much smaller than expected. And I know this is out of the hotels control, but the view of the desolate lot and building across the street was less than appealing. The underground parking was honestly scary. They should enforce that smaller vehicles need to go further into the depths, a standard size pickup truck can't fit past the second turn, but all the smaller cars take up those spaces most of the time.

Our rooms were spacious and clean, one of them even had a view on the State Capitol. Beds and bathrooms were top notch as well. The gym was well equipped, while the spa, although very clean, was nothing to write home about. The location is brilliant, right in the middle of town, within walking distance of all the attractions including swimming spots. Highly recommended!

The pool and jacuzzi in the spa area were extremely chlorine-heavy.

The television system is terrible!! Very difficult to use and find channels. You really need a better interface! The view from my room was terrible. I looked out into a roof and was uncomfortable that someone could access the room from the roof. I am a repeat customer and I wish there was some rewards system. I do book the lowest rate possible, but I do come back when I visit madison. I am a marriott customer usually and get points to use for upgrades, etc.

I had a great stay at this hotel. Everything was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained — truly nothing to complain about. The highlight of the experience was upgrading to The Governor’s Club. It’s absolutely worth the extra cost. You get access to a lounge with free drinks, food and snacks throughout the day, and a fantastic view. It added a touch of luxury that made the stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended if you’re considering the upgrade!

The location was perfect since we were attending a musical at the Overture Center, only two blocks away. The room was quiet and did not hear other guests. Amazing breakfast and was worth the cost.

It took a bit, 5 to 10 minutes to get the elavator from the underground parking garage. Some other guests must not have been scanning their key card and kept returning a full elevator car. May mention to guests when checking in.

Great location, clean rooms, very nice staff. Ability to leave door card out to order breakfast for delivery in the morning was really cool.

Parking was impossible due to weddings and events having tons of guests filling the hotel's parking garage. Had to street park a block away.

Front desk staff were awesome. The pool room, including the whirlpool and sauna is very nice.

I appreciated the front desk assigning me a high room with view of the Capitol upon request. Unfortunately, the drapes were installed that in a way that didn't offer a full view when opened to the fullest extent. Also wish the coffee maker was more environmentally friendly, lot of black plastic that's not recyclable. And I wish they had real cream, not the tried stuff. It is dairy land after all.

Everything here was great. Loved the room, the view from our room, and the staff (including Lewis) were amazing. Perfect location in Madison, very walkable to tons of great restaurants/bars and the Capitol building/farmer’s market on the weekends. Really enjoyed the bar on the first floor and having a connected Starbucks. Parking was easy, garage felt safe.

The pool/hot tub/sauna was nice. The lobby was comfortable, I spent time reading a book by the windows in the morning. The location is in easy walking distance to coffee shops and restaurants.

The additional lock on our door was very loose, the three screws were barely holding it in. The toilet in one of our rooms required you to hold down the handle to flush properly.
