If there were 100 stars available for lodging, the Round Barn Lodge would receive it. We visited this beautiful and friendly lodge in Spring Green, Wisconsin, coming from our home in central Missouri on vacation to the House on the Rock. Our experience at the Round Barn Lodge was not just about accommodation; it was about being embraced with a level of kindness and care that can only be described as gracious hospitality. Kathleen and Abby at the front desk are not just friendly; they are compassionate souls who went above and beyond to assist us when our vehicle had a minor hiccup during our stay. Our room was both comfortable and spacious, with lovely lighting, plenty of electrical sockets, and a gorgeous fireplace, and it was all immaculate and well-cared for. Everything was in excellent condition; the room even smelled clean and fresh. We had a stunning window view with vertical blinds and a lot of room to move around. Our deluxe King room also held a very nice mini-refrigerator, a microwave, coffee maker and supplies, a lovely and spacious dresser and large mirror above it, and a sizable desk with a matching chair and four electrical outlets above it on the wall to plug in my laptop and chargers. The large bed had two lovely bedside tables with lamps, which were ample enough to set my CPAP on, which was greatly appreciated. There was so much storage space, including a lovely closet with a folding wooden door, hangers, extra pillows, and a luggage holder. The bathroom was spotless, with ample space and a nice shower. We appreciated all the additional amenities that came with our room and could not have asked for better. They have an indoor swimming pool that is up to five feet deep and kept immaculately clean. It was a nice way to relax at the end of a long day. There is also a coffee shop/cafe attached to the hotel that is open in the mornings until early afternoon (it currently closes at 2 p.m.). It is exceptionally lovely to visit.

The walls were a bit thin, but the desk clerks were 100% ready and available to help when we had issues with loudness in the next room and asked the front desk for assistance, So we can't complain at all about the service we received!

Location was convenient to the sights in and around Spring Green and was very clean. The room was large, and the bed was comfortable. We appreciated that we could open the window for fresh air.

The Lodge is an old-fashioned accommodation. It could use an upgrade from the carpeting to the lighting to the bathroom and furniture.

It was very clean and the staff was very friendly. Would stay here again. It even had a coffee shop attached to the hotel. The pool area looked good unfortunately didn’t have a chance to use it.

The only thing was when you first walked into the room it smelled a little musty but once the a/c was on for a minute it went away.

The hallway to our room had a musty stale smoke smell, and the lighting poles in the parking lot which I know are from the 1970s are very low and a hazard for those of us 5 ft 4 folks... some of them were damaged and had sharp plastic sticking out

The atmosphere here at the Round Barn is 2nd to none! All of the staff were amazing, as always, and the pool and gaming area is perfect for the kids. It's within walking distance to multiple eating establishments, and the rooms are spacious and clean. We will be back again!!

Ummm . . . . there was no breakfast. I wish the cafe had been open. I wonder why they would be closed on a Sunday when this is a really busy time of year in Spring Green. The room was very nice - clean, spacious, with an awesome bed!

The rest of the property - check in area, halls, etc. - is a bit tired. It really looks "old motel." That's easy to overlook when the rooms are so comfortable.

The lodge was so homey and sweet. Nice pool area, pool table as well. Rooms were extremely clean and comfortable. Customer service was fantastic.

No continental breakfast, but not a deal breaker. Great place.

The staff was wonderful! The Family Suite was awesome and accommodated our group of 7 very nicely! The indoor pool was so nice to come back to after a long, hot day spent at House on the Rock , which was only a short 10 minute drive away thru beautiful landscape. We all (3different households) have said that we would return to the Round Barn Lodge and explore the area some more.

The Round Bar is fascinating in the way it is built and laid out. Certain rooms had lovely displays of artwork and one room had a beatiful bar in it. There was a pool, a pool room, lounge rooms, coffee shop with cocoa also and bakery offered. The staff in every area has as good, as pleasant and as helpful to me as angels. I was in the area for my brothers funeral and was invery sad state of mind. They took such good care of me, that I wish I could be here forever.

I loved everything.

I really love the pool in this hotel. It is lovely with all the windows, and it is the perfect temperature. The location is perfect for anyone coming from a late night at American Players Theater.

My friend said the walls between our room and the next one were too thin, and she heard a lot of noise. (Guess I slept through it.) Also, it was frustrating that the restaurant was closed.
