We loved this family run hotel. The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us which made it very enjoyable. They organized a boat trip for us to Ha Long Bay which was brilliant and a mini-bus to our next destination. When we woke up on New Years Day thinking we'd missed breakfast they had put on a lovely spread of food and drink to celebrate the new year with them. There are shops and a market nearby but you will need to walk further for restaurants. Apart from that it was a great stay. Beach 10 mins walk too. English wasn't great but with the use of google translate it worked out just fine.

Amazing hotel at affordable prices. We stayed there for two nights as a group of 5. Having booked the largest possible option on Booking, we were given two large rooms with 3 beds total. One standard bed, one queen size bed and one massive king size bed, made out of two queen size beds. We even could have accommodated two more guests. Both rooms were in a modern and clean overall condition and featured a spacious bathroom. Since we stayed immediately after a large typhoon and the hotel wasn't back at it's usual capacity, the owner served us an "á-la-carte" style breakfast with several options to choose from. Options included fried noodles, eggs, vegetables, bread etc. We were very satisfied with the Bai Chay Panda Hotel and will definitely come back for our next visit to Ha Long.

The facilities are exactly as shown in the photos: the rooms are spotless and the beds very comfortable. However, what truly makes this place an exceptional experience is the service from the staff. They go above and beyond any expectations, making your stay truly memorable. There aren’t enough words to thank them for turning my visit into such a beautiful and pleasant memory. They helped me organize all the tours and gave excellent recommendations for dining and going out. Without a doubt, I leave with the desire to return. Definitely the best hotel in Ha Long Bay!

Wow this place is amazing i can’t rate it highly enough! Everything was perfect. The lady who greeted us was fantastic, always happy to see us, she even offered us extra blankets and a heater because it was chilly. She went above and beyond what we expected. Breakfast was lovely each morning. The room was spotless. The water pressure is phenomenal. Location is great, many places to eat and shop right on the doorstep but still quiet rooms. I loved every minute of it. Will definitely return here. Every detail even down to the smell of the shower gel was amazing!!

Nothing it was perfect

The room was very clean, and there were plenty of small restaurants nearby. The owner was incredibly helpful—when the bus I booked online to return to Hanoi was an hour late, he actively assisted me in contacting the company. Breakfast was simple, with a choice between white toast or fried noodles, both served with an egg. They also offered Vietnamese black coffee. Overall, great value for money!

Not really

A perfect place in a cute street not far from the cable car. The room was nice, clean and big, and in better shape than other hotels I have been to. But the best thing about this place was the staff! Soo friendly and helpful. They can help you with anything. Would definitely come back.

The hotel was located in a local neighborhood but very centrally located near shops, a great French bakery and many inexpensive restaurants. The room was spacious and had everything you needed. The bathroom was big for Vietnamese standards. The bed was huge and very comfortable. Most hotels have extremely hard Mattresses and I’m a side sleeper and it leaves my hip and shoulders hurt for days. Even the breakfast was nice and the coffee was more to European standards. Loved it

They claimed the cc machine wasn’t working but they all say that. So, I had to go to an ATM to get cash

The best accomodation we had in Vietnam! Fully recommended!:) Cost/value ratio fantastic, hotel renovated, very clean, great breakfast, comfortable bed. Room with balcony to inner block was perfect, spacious and quiet. Host friendly, welcoming and helpful with our arrangements.
