We decided to stay in Ha Long before going on an early morning cruise the next morning (leaving at 9am instead of all the cruises that leave from Hanoi which depart at 12pm from the Port). The location was great and it was a 5 minute walk to the international cruise terminal. We ate at the restaurant and the food was good, the pool was also excellent (and the water was actually COLD which was exactly what we needed on a hot an humid day). The hotel does seem to cater more for local tourists rather than foreigners but that was completely fine!

A lot of other reviews talk about it but the parties that occur on the beach are REALLY loud and the sound definitely made it into the room. It did stop at 10pm though so wasn't too bad.

It was a great experience. Everything was new and sparkling (main reason why we chose them). The location was great and the staff was friends. I appreciate the fact that they were flexible with their policy. A good instance was the check out time; it ought to be 11 but we asked for 12 and the agreed with no qualms.

They didn't consider the dietary requirements of the guests. For example, I don't eat pork but virtually all the meals had pork. In addition, the bathtub in the room was small (my legs hardly fit in). Lest I forget, the parking lot was below standard

It was very clean although more attention should be paid to the grouting in the shower. The hotel has amazing views over the bay. Management was very responsive to feedback and complaints.

This new hotel is not fully ready to be open. Due to renovations the pool, gym and rooftop bar are closed right now. In addition, staff in the Restaraunt struggle to communicate simple requests and as a result the service is below par. But it should be mentioned that management was very proactive to understand complaints made and offered to make compensation.

Highly highly recommend this hotel if you stay at the Ha Long Bay City. (1) A new hotel, rooms are so clean and modern. (2) Room size is big and comfortable. (3) Great central, convenient location, with walking distance to restaurants and Cable car station. (4) We booked a room with view/balcony. Great view with natural light. (5) Rich breakfast choices. (6) Super friendly staff, treating us as valued customers.

This hotel is beautiful - rooms are huge. The biggest bed I have ever seen. Everything is new and super clean. Towels are super fluffy and new. Loved having a seating area. Walking distance to port and restaurants.

The bed is very hard. Tip - make sure you do a package deal with breakfast as it is very expensive to pay for separately. Unfortunately the spa & sauna were not operational. Our room had some annoying noise at night - toilet constantly running and air conditioning noisy.

Brand new, great staff, good location, amazing view. We decided to stay last minute and it was Lunar New Year’s Day so most things were closed. Duc Thang who was working the front desk went out of his way to make calls for us and got us 2 spots on a Halong Bay dinner cruise! That made our visit so special. Thank You Duc:)

It was off season but we were disappointed to discover the pool isn’t heated and therefore was not swimmable. Also, the spa etc was completely closed but just due to the Holiday.

great location, new facilities, clean room, friendly staff, good price

on the first day we arrived, there’s no one helping us carrying the luggage from the taxi up to lobby. There was construction on the top roof of the building that day which was causing noise in our room. The poorly designed bathroom door allowed water to spill into the room (see attached photos). Although these things don’t affect our stays too much but it shouldn't be expected at the 5-stars hotel.

Very nice room - new! Very comfortable and very clean. Good views. Lovely staff. Very helpful. Good location for port. Great value for money.

The hotel is not finished - this should be made clearer. The pool and gym is not available although we were invited to use the facilities of the sister hotel a short walk away. The unfinished nature of the hotel did not spoil our stay but it's misleading to promote facilities which aren't ready.

I had a wonderful experience at Wyndham Garden Legend Halong. The hotel is clean, well-equipped, and conveniently located. What truly stood out was the Front Office team – they were exceptionally professional, attentive, and friendly. Their thoughtful support made my stay even more comfortable and enjoyable. I will definitely come back and recommend this hotel to my friends and family!

The hotel is new and is undergoing renovations and construction. The pool, roiftop bar, spa, sauna and gym where closed due to the construction. We were allowed to use these facilities at the neighboring Wyndham hotel, just a few steps away.
