The hotel itself is a beautiful building, with spotless rooms and a stunning reception. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Our motorbike was stored inside which I appreciated. It was quiet, the beds were comfortable and the bathroom was lovely.

The location itself is like setting foot in Chernobyl. There is literally nothing unless you drive 15 minutes into the town. We were the only guests in the hotel, apart from one other poor soul. The streets are empty and devoid of any life. Everyone seems surprised to see you, which can make you feel uncomfortable sometimes. It is Chinese investment firms who build these beautiful towns, but there is nobody to staff them and there are no visitors. It is a ghost town. Do yourself a favour and stay on Cat Ba.

The staff at Grand Fleuve were great and very helpful. Their English could be better but we got by. The hotel is lovely and new and everything was very clean and fresh. The breakfast was amazing too.

The only bad thing about this place is the noise - it is right next to a carnival/theme park and they played very loud music (on a Sunday night!) Until 1am. The staff had told me it would finish at 10pm. So, warning: if you want to go to bed early don't bother esp during summer. Otherwise, the place is amazing!

The room had the biggest bed I've ever seen (2m), with very nice and soft mattress and comfortable pillows. The jacuzzi was perfect and they also had plenty of amenities - from tooth brushes to razor and show shine sponge. Everything looks new and very clean. The breakfast is served in a large airy room, with plenty of options including some vietnamese, chinese and international options.

This hotel is situated on the edge of civilisation - all the restaurants are towards the old town and you'll need to walk for a bit to get to decently priced places (as all the restaurants on the shore are hugely overpriced)

This is a beautiful hotel and a great value. It was kind of funny that they gave me the honeymoon suite and I was traveling by myself, but I certainly enjoyed the amenities. They have a very elaborate buffet, it is excellent. Rooftop pool is very nice. The front desk staff was very helpful in helping me with directions and activities.

Odd! The bar and the gym are in the same room. Both are nice but it is very awkward having a drink when folks are working out and vice versa. The area around the hotel is dead, hardly anybody there. I appreciate the quiet after coming from HCMC and Da Nang but it is kind of strange. The hotel is a big block from the beach, which is gorgeous but hardly a person to be seen. There is a little area with restaurants - the German one is really good.

This hotel should be 5 stars!!!. Easy check in & awesome awesome staff (helped me with everything i needed at any point of my stay) . The room was spacious and the bathroom shower was huge. I felt like i was on the titanic. Everything i could have asked for. The breakfast was the best breakfast ive ever had. They had a wide range of different cuisines; sweet & savoury. Chefs made me anything i wanted. I ate about 3 plates and 3-4 coffees everyday haha. One time they brought me out a special traditional meal (look at photos). Great way to begin the day, especially if its your first time. Pool & pool view was SO COOOL. GYM was amazing !!! They have lots of weights and the open plan to the pool and view makes it so much better than the pictures!! As an Aussie, highly recommend Special mention to the Receptionist to all the staff working at this hotel. They went above & beyond to make my stay fun and exciting. They gave me lots of information about Ha Long Bay for my stay. They also gave me food recommendations. Thank you all staff !!! Brandon

This hotel exceeded my expectations. It felt like a hotel that should be out of my price range but it somehow wasn't. Everything was top notch. I even enjoyed the room service that I ordered when I first arrived. It was also an easy walk to the beach, the International Cruise Port, and other attractions (or a very quick ride in a car, but I prefer to walk). Staff was super friendly and helpful, with lots of information about booking tour groups. I don't know if I'll ever be back in Ha Long, but if I am I will definitely book at this hotel again.

The property is new and has beautiful furnishings. It is very comfortable which was good because we got caught in a typhoon there so had to stay in the hotel. The facilities were lovely towels were lovely and white obviously new

Some of the staff were less than friendly and rather unwelcoming. Maybe they had worries because of the typhoon but we didn’t want to be there when the typhoon was on either. Some staff particularly Mrs Hoan in the dining room were very very nice assisting us in anyway she could.its a shame because it’s a beautiful property.The pool was very dirty which affected my skin making it very itchy.

Fab hotel. Large room, big bed, great breakfast, lots to choose from. For what we paid this is a really nice hotel. Pool on the rooftop as well with good views.

Don't use the restaurant for dinner, one and only thing that was poor. Completely forgot to bring one drink for the meal and the meal didn't look anything remotely like the photo in the menu. Shame as apart from the above this really is a great hotel just go somewhere else for dinner.

I love almost everything about the hotel. It's very new, clean and beautiful. The design of the rooms is tasteful and they are well-maintained. The staff are helpful, especially a male staff called Lễ. He went out of his way to support us when my sister got a cold and needed some medicine. Thank you so much Lễ. The buffet was great too.

Unfortunately, (and it's not the hotel's fault anyway) but the noise from the bars from the beach was very very loud from 8pm up to 3am. I wish the hotel could do something about it but I understand it's out of their control. It also depends on which room you have, I chose a room with a window so maybe that's why. My parents' room (no window) is in another direction and luckily they couldn't hear anything.

It looked like everything was new at this hotel and at this area in general, so that was nice. The room was spacious and the bathroom as well, with one of those fancy toilets that have a bidet included, which was an experience. The weather was a bit chilly when we were there so we didn't use the pool but they had a very small gym, which was equipped enough for a quick workout. The breakfast choices were amazing, all the food was very delicious!

They gave us an interior room, which meant the room window was to an inner aisle of the hotel, where guest pass. It was a weird choice and in retrospective I should've said something because clearly there were empty rooms that had windows to the exterior. We were there only one night so in the end it was whatever, but this stayed on my mind. This type of hotel is the kind that was made for old upscale European tourists or then Chinese people looking for that vibe. The city of Halong is still being developed so it is hard to say whether this was a good location or not. Not a lot was going on around it, for sure.
