The hotel itself is a beautiful building, with spotless rooms and a stunning reception. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Our motorbike was stored inside which I appreciated. It was quiet, the beds were comfortable and the bathroom was lovely.

The location itself is like setting foot in Chernobyl. There is literally nothing unless you drive 15 minutes into the town. We were the only guests in the hotel, apart from one other poor soul. The streets are empty and devoid of any life. Everyone seems surprised to see you, which can make you feel uncomfortable sometimes. It is Chinese investment firms who build these beautiful towns, but there is nobody to staff them and there are no visitors. It is a ghost town. Do yourself a favour and stay on Cat Ba.

The hotel is located near the centre but not in the noisy part. The deco is outstanding and has a lot of character. Staff are friendly and helpfull. It's only a few minutes to the main cruise port by car near the beach. One night there was some noisy music coming from outside the hotel. The following day the manager reallocated us away to a quieter room. The receptionist were very sweet and helpfull. The hotel is beautiful, has a swimming pool and bar on the top floor level with amazing views of Ha Long. The rooms are amazing and the beds are huge and comfortable.

This is a fabulous hotel, we loved absolutely everything about it and didn't want to leave! First of all, all of the staff are very friendly, helpful and courteous. The rooms are amazing, we had a deluxe room, with a beautiful bathroom..jacuzzi bath, robot toilet. Plus the very comfortable bed was eight foot wide! There was a large range of delicious food options for breakfast, and a great al a carte menu too. We very highly recommend this hotel, and we will definitely be returning!

Nothing, everything was fabulous!

The room had the biggest bed I've ever seen (2m), with very nice and soft mattress and comfortable pillows. The jacuzzi was perfect and they also had plenty of amenities - from tooth brushes to razor and show shine sponge. Everything looks new and very clean. The breakfast is served in a large airy room, with plenty of options including some vietnamese, chinese and international options.

This hotel is situated on the edge of civilisation - all the restaurants are towards the old town and you'll need to walk for a bit to get to decently priced places (as all the restaurants on the shore are hugely overpriced)

We booked a ‘twin superior room’ which was bizarre as was an inside room with a window that opened out to an inside hallway, so no natural light and was quite noisy as no sound proofing, we could hear the lift, people at all hours of the night in hallway & the slamming of doors, doors also have alarms if they aren’t shut properly so could hear this frequently from neighbouring rooms, we were only in for 1 night and the hotel appeared very full so didn’t request change

This is a beautiful hotel and a great value. It was kind of funny that they gave me the honeymoon suite and I was traveling by myself, but I certainly enjoyed the amenities. They have a very elaborate buffet, it is excellent. Rooftop pool is very nice. The front desk staff was very helpful in helping me with directions and activities.

Odd! The bar and the gym are in the same room. Both are nice but it is very awkward having a drink when folks are working out and vice versa. The area around the hotel is dead, hardly anybody there. I appreciate the quiet after coming from HCMC and Da Nang but it is kind of strange. The hotel is a big block from the beach, which is gorgeous but hardly a person to be seen. There is a little area with restaurants - the German one is really good.

This hotel is amazing!! From the lobby entrance, the restaurant, the coffee shop, the rooftop pool and bar to the rooms it was exceptional. Our room was stunning, with a huge bed, which was so comfortable with luxurious sheets. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. The location is great, 5 min walk to the beaches for a swim, with lots of bars and restaurants. There are also many restaurants nearby. It's a 15 mins taxi ride into the main part of the city Incredible value for money. I thoroughly recommend that you stay here!

The staff at Grand Fleuve were great and very helpful. Their English could be better but we got by. The hotel is lovely and new and everything was very clean and fresh. The breakfast was amazing too.

The only bad thing about this place is the noise - it is right next to a carnival/theme park and they played very loud music (on a Sunday night!) Until 1am. The staff had told me it would finish at 10pm. So, warning: if you want to go to bed early don't bother esp during summer. Otherwise, the place is amazing!

This hotel should be 5 stars!!!. Easy check in & awesome awesome staff (helped me with everything i needed at any point of my stay) . The room was spacious and the bathroom shower was huge. I felt like i was on the titanic. Everything i could have asked for. The breakfast was the best breakfast ive ever had. They had a wide range of different cuisines; sweet & savoury. Chefs made me anything i wanted. I ate about 3 plates and 3-4 coffees everyday haha. One time they brought me out a special traditional meal (look at photos). Great way to begin the day, especially if its your first time. Pool & pool view was SO COOOL. GYM was amazing !!! They have lots of weights and the open plan to the pool and view makes it so much better than the pictures!! As an Aussie, highly recommend Special mention to the Receptionist to all the staff working at this hotel. They went above & beyond to make my stay fun and exciting. They gave me lots of information about Ha Long Bay for my stay. They also gave me food recommendations. Thank you all staff !!! Brandon

This hotel exceeded my expectations. It felt like a hotel that should be out of my price range but it somehow wasn't. Everything was top notch. I even enjoyed the room service that I ordered when I first arrived. It was also an easy walk to the beach, the International Cruise Port, and other attractions (or a very quick ride in a car, but I prefer to walk). Staff was super friendly and helpful, with lots of information about booking tour groups. I don't know if I'll ever be back in Ha Long, but if I am I will definitely book at this hotel again.
