The location is walkable to Sun World or just a short inexpensive ride with Grab. The swimming pool is nice and well maintained. The view from the room is beautiful and stunning. There is a lively park right across the hotel that is enjoyable both during the day and at night. The staff is friendly and helpful. Overall a standard quality hotel that feels comfortable.

Not many dinner options nearby with English speaking staff. No supermarket or minimart in the area only small local shops with limited choices. It is a good idea to stay aware of your surroundings when exploring the area.

The room was special with superb views. Staff very attentive. Classic Novotel experience. Very happy given some of the rooms we have had to endure so far.

Breakfast expensive $400k VND per person. Not really worth it. Didn't take up the offer. There was doof-doof music playing across the bay from a beach club at times. We were furnished with ear plugs but only needed them for the first night. The loud music affects all the hotels in this area.

We had a lovely stay in the Novotel in beautiful Halong Bay and I can thoroughly recommend this hotel to the maximum. What is so special about this hotel is the location; Halong Bay is beautiful and the views from the bedrooms are stunning, overlooking the bay packed full of interesting features such as the cable car towards Tuan island and beyond. It so pretty when it is all lit up at night. The Bay is filled with thousands of rocks and small islands which jut up from the sea and are covered with green forestation; it is a unique and breathtaking sight and the views are spectacular from the bedrooms. There is a nearby beach which is also very beautiful with palm trees providing shade and shelter. In addition the staff are very friendly, kind, helpful and welcoming and did everything that they could to ensure that we had a lovely stay in the hotel. I had a problem with establishing a WiFi connection at one point but one of the staff was so helpful in ensuring that he found a solution to the problem which I am very grateful for. I hope I may return to Halong Bay one day and discover and explore more of this unique and beautiful part of the world; thank you very much Novotel team.

Our time at Novotel Ha Long Bay was nothing short of sensational. We felt very welcome and had a fabulous time. In particular one staff member went above and beyond with service and friendship. Thank you Thúy you are amazing.

I did book it do I could use the pool but a great big concept put there for a wedding and new year cel generations meant I couldn’t use it all which was the main reason I chose the hotel

Pool area is nice, but a little outdated. Staff came and I could order directly from the pool site. Rooms were nice and clean - but no chairs on balcony to sit on. And it was quite dusty on the floor. Breakfast was closed, but we could order a la carte. Not far from beach.

It's far away from the "centre". Shady roads nearby, just stick to the main road.

The view was great. I got late check-out at a discounted price, not too bad.

I was "upgraded" to the beach view but it turned out it was right in front of an open-air club of sorts. This meant the music was so loud I could not sleep until past midnight. On top of this, the a/c system was extremely loud.

The view of Halong Bay from the hotel is incredible. Staff are lovely. Great to have a pool and gym. We used both every day

Unfort there is a sound system on the beach which is loud but the hotel provides ear bungs and we got used to it. It would be perfect without this. We still stayed a week and wd return
