The room was large and the bed was huge and very comfortable. The room had a fridge which was great and the 3 small complimentary bottles given every day were a nice touch. There was more water in larger bottles in the fridge and this was charged at a very reasonable 10,000 dong. The best part for me about the room was that there was a mobile fan which circulated the air perfectly allowing me to have such a great sleep. Shower was great with good pressure and plenty of clean towels. As for breakfast, it is a choice between Vietnamese breakfast (which I have since tried and found to be delicious) and eggs cooked how you like with toast and jam. Simple but good.

If you are thinking about a trip to Halong Bay, do yourself a favor and cross the bridge to Hong Gai to find a great place to stay. It is only a ten minute Grab ride from the tourist attractions in Halong Bay. If you choose to stay at the Halong Boutique Hotel, you have made an excellent choice. It is a beautiful hotel offering very spacious and comfortable rooms at a fantastic price. The staff will go out of its way to see to all your needs and answer any questions you may have. I am happy that I and my partner chose to stay there.

Nothing not to like…

A rather modern hotel. Around a fifteen minute walk to Vincourt Plaza, which is a shopping mall with a huge supermarket inside. Also around a fifteen minute walk to see the limestone structures. A big shoutout and thank you to Ngoc for her assistance and communication in English and Anne who speaks pretty good Chinese. In addition to that, I wanted to book a trip on the boat to see the limestone structures, Ngoc was REALLY competent and informative on delivering the most effective solution for me, thumbs for that! The room was roomy, airy, the bed extremely comfy with a good size. The water pressure could be better. All in all a VERY pleasant experience.

If I REALLY had to mention, I'd say the hotel is on the side of Halong Bay where the beach isn't really accessible. One has to grab a Grab car to Bai Chay island where most of the action is. The side of the island where the hotel is located doesn't offer much, not that this is a major downside, but if you want to go to the beach and have lots of fun, you need to get a taxi, and unfortunately the bus system in Halong Bay is not really functional, I think.

Stayed with 4 (2 kids). Room with 1 single bed and 1 double bed (200cm width). Lovely clean hotelroom. Fantastic beds and pillows! Hotel is just perfect and beautiful. Employees are very helpful. They arranged a 2 day boat trip Ha Longbay, best boat for a great price. Ha longbay is 30 minutes drive with Grab. Breakfast is good with eggs or lovely noodle soup. Special thanks to Anne, she helped us big time for our Vietnam Trip. We were surprised that it would be so good for the price. 100% recommendation for a 1 or 2 night stop if you are looking for comfort.

The size of the room was good and the size of the bed was huge. The surrounding area is quiet, near the interesting Ha Long old city centre.

The breakfast was scanty. It should have more fruit and vegetables. This is my sixth month travelling across Asia and I have to say that I have not found any breakfast included in the hotel room price so good as in Turkey. In my opinion, if you choose to give breakfast in the same price that accommodation at least give it good. For a so touristic place like Ha Long, where you will always have tourists, I think that saving money from the breakfast is not nice and the quality of breakfast should be at the same level than the impression you have when you go into the hotel, it means "luxury". But if you wish attract tourists by a good price then make sure after they won´t be dissapointed because the breakfast.

Very friendly and incredibly helpful staffs! They provided us many great advices for our first trip in Halong. The hotel, located in Hon Gai, is not very close to the tourist center which is in other side of the Bai Chay bridge. However, you can find affordable foods and discover the true lifestyle of local habitants and can walk to HaLong market and ride shortly to other attractive places such as Quang Ninh museum, Hon Gai beach.

Not many choices for breakfast. They did the same thing in menu (pho and sandwiches) during two days of our trip.

I really loved the location. Annie was a super star, the bed was very comfortable & the sheets were soft. The lobby was gorgeous & has a piano, if you know how to play! They arranged a day trip around Ha Long Bay & it was fantastic from start to finish. I also booked transport with them to Hanoi & it was excellent; really fair prices & fantastic service.

Breakfast was limited to two options: noodles or eggs & toast + some fruit + a coffee with condensed milk. Breakfast finishes at 09h!

The receptionist Hai Yen was adorable and so helpful. They also upgraded my studio room to a vip room for the same price. The room was spacious and clean and the location is very local which I was lucky to meet a Vietnamese solo traveler. It was a great experience although it is a low season. The location is very convenient and the quality of the service is excellent for the price you pay.

Good value for money. Big comfortable bed. No problem with hot water.

Staff basicly dont speak english, only receptionists. Breakfast quit poor: eggs, watermelon, orange juice, toast. The most difficult thing is to explain what do you want. In advise, if you want to cut anything (in case you dont have knife) you need to bring it to reception, because they can not lend you knife (it is dangerous and sharp). In bathroom we felt stong cigarette smell and recetionist couldn’t do anything (smoking is restricted in room).

Hotel and room was excellent. The night receptionist spoke perfect English and was very helpful

Breakfast from 6.30 to 9 am is just too short and breakfast was not really good. Coffee was not hot, eggs were terrible and the soup was water. But for that price, I didn't really care.
