Location. staff were friendly and helpful. we checked in late and then left very early so did not have the opportunity to use the restaurant facilities down stairs, but there were many people looking relaxed and happy on our arrival. upon early departure we had breakfast packs prepared for us to take with us, which was very much appreciated. Room size was magnificent.

having to climb up into the bath to take a shower , and then due to being tall, i kept bumping my head on what looked to be a defunct shower head. But not a problem for anyone average to short in stature.

Great location away from the many noisy areas nearby. Still a pleasant walking distance along the lake to the old quarter. Large balcony. Our first two nights the shower did not have any hot water. When we finally decided to raise it with staff they must have forgotten to turn it on and it was fixed instantly. Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was good but you need to proatively ask if you want soup or eggs as the kitchen is downstairs.

It was likely an honest mistake that the shower had no hot water for the first couple of days.

The Conifer Hotel was in a great location, quiet but close to all amenities. Walking distance to some great restaurants..Vietnamese, Thai and Argentinian steak house. All the staff were excellent, couldn't be more helpful and friendly, especially Alice in reception who looked after us so well, Thank you Alice! Can highly recommend this Hotel.

A lovely quiet location a short walk from Hoan Kiem Lake and the Old Quarter. Super friendly staff who went out of their way to help us find some Hanoi FC souvenirs and later rescue a backpack we had left in a taxi on the way to airport. Thank you!

The facilities were fine and would definitely return but feel place would benefit from a lick of paint and some TLC.

Beautifully decorated rooms with many amenities. Small, comfortable hotel about 10 minutes' walk from Hoan Kiem Lake.

Though both our rooms had a window, they were off of an alcove of sorts, so that the bedrooms themselves seemed somewhat dark, though there were enough light fixtures, except by the bed, which did not have enough light for reading. I believe we had requested front facing rooms, but we wound up with rooms on the back side of the hotel, so that was disappointing. It's hard to know if the good rate we got through booking.com was the reason we were given less desirable rooms. We had a busy schedule so we didn't try to change the rooms, but in retrospect, I wish we had.

A lovely hotel in an excellent location. Staff was exceptional.

The breakfast was good though a little limited in options. Unable to use the elevator in the morning because a tour was departing and the one smallish elevator was constantly full with people mad luggage but that was mostly unfortunate timing.

Great quiet location in side street. Easy access to all areas of the city within walking distance. Staff friendly and helpful. Nice clean spacious room.

Freshly cooked eggs were available at breakfast, but we only found this out by asking. They should have been offered.

The Service was fantastic. Mr Tung did an outstanding job in taking care on short notice to arrange in a very dedicated customer friendly way a transportation to Halong international port. He also helped us after leaving the hotel. It is great to have such dedicated and motivated personal taking care of guests. Thank you

Air condition in the room was not working well

Very helpful staff, who arranged airport pick up & drop off. They also advised on the long queues for Ho Chi Minh mausoleum during the Vietnamese holiday.Helpful advice on where to eat.

It would have been helpful to have a light switch on both sides of the bed.

Elegant and well-managed hotel. Unfortunately, the noise from the construction site across the street was too much to relax during the day – but EVERY place in the country seems to have a noise issue.
